We hired Rubi Anne for the day of wedding coordinator services. Our wedding site, the Portofino Hotel & Marina, required that we have one. And we had another ceremony coordinator at Wayfarers Chapel. Our wedding was on October 25^th, 2014.
Overall, Rubi Anne was pleasant to work with and she was helpful the day of. We trusted Rubi Anne with the reception setup and to take care of coordinating the reception events. Everything went smoothly. She also had a nice calming presence throughout the prep process and day of. She ensured our needs were met during the reception and it was nice to know we had her on staff just in case anything happened. Thanks Rubi Anne for your help and assistance with the wedding process!

Rubi Anne was referred to us by friends who hired her for their wedding. She was highly recommended. After experiencing our wedding i can totally see why. My wife is totally a type A personality with a hint of OCD. Rubi Anne and my wife totally saw eye to eye which made me happy (Happy wife happy life). Rubi Anne will break down your wedding day by the min and will keep everyone involved on check and on time. She even made suggestions and asked us questions that we didn’t even think of. Rubi Anne kept it cool even when things didn’t go right and resolved the issues with out alarming anybody. Our wedding was a mix of cultures (Filipino and Vietnamese) and Rubi Anne has enough experience in this business that she knew exactly what the traditions were for both. There were plenty of other wedding vendors involved in our wedding. Rubi Anne will introduce herself to all of them and coordinate accordingly with them. Rubi Anne has a great team. We apologize we forgot her assistants names but they were very friendly and executed every task that Rubi Anne gave them. With all of this said, we HIGHLY recommend her for your wedding because that day will consist of little details that you do not want to delegate to anybody thats part of your wedding. You want them to have just as much fun as you. Rubi Anne will take care of everything so you can enjoy your happy day stress free… ish.

Rubi did a fantastic job and we were so happy we chose her! Even though we only hired her for day-​off, she met with us several times beforehand (in our Santa Monica neighborhood and for the final venue meeting downtown) and was also there for rehearsal the night before. She would respond to emails/​calls almost immediately which is something I truly appreciated. It was a huge weight off my shoulders knowing that she would handle all the million little details to make sure our wedding day would go off without a hitch. Above everything, she kept a positive attitude and never lost her cool with my crazy ADD family/​bridesmaids. I had heard horror stories about other pushy, rude wedding coordinators and was so glad that Rubi was respectful at all times (but still firm enough to get everyone in their right place at the right time!). Rubi is exactly what you want in a wedding coordinator — extremely competent, detail-​oriented, focused, reliable, flexible, and professional. She listened to everything we wanted and made suggestions for things we hadn’t even thought about. Even though we had a secular ceremony, she did research on a few Jewish touches to keep my parents happy (which side I should be on at the altar, breaking the glass, the hora, etc.). We were also very impressed with how well she set up the venue — we had dropped off boxes of candles, board games, candy buffet items, signs, escort cards, and about 100 other random chotchkies and everything looked perfect when we arrived. Everyone from our florist to our photographer had worked with Rubi before and we heard the same thing over and over: «Oh, good we love working with her!». The last thing you want is your wedding coordinator arguing with one of your vendors, so it was a huge relief to know she has great working relationships with other wedding service providers. We loved our wedding and couldn’t have done it without Rubi!

Rubi Anne was incredibly professional and prompt, but also very personable. She made the entire experience of handing someone else our wedding day plans such a breeze — and to have her execute everything just as I imagined? What a relief! My husband and I always tell people how wonderful it was to have Rubi Anne run the big day. It was seamless. This isn’t to say we didn’t run into any issues! Every big celebration will run into some inevitable bumps, but she handled all of these bumps so effortlessly that we barely even knew they happened. Do you know how amazing that is as the bride? All I really had to do was enjoy the day and enjoy every moment with my husband. Rubi Anne is a superwoman. I recommend her to all my engaged friends!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Rubi for several weddings and I can’t say enough amazing things about her because she’s a true gem. I’ve seen her work with couples, family members, guests, and other vendors and she treats everyone with consideration and professionalism. I feel confident working with her because she’s attentive, and her incredible organizational skills and her ability to coordinate the wedding day in such a cool and composed state puts everyone at ease. To top it all off, Rubi is a sweetheart and so much fun to be around! She’s always positive and encouraging, and these are qualities that I really appreciate about her. Plus, I’ve never met a couple who has had any complaints or regrets about hiring Rubi, and that says it all!

Wedding Day: Sunday, September 22, 2013.
We weren’t happy with our original day-​of coordinator because we didn’t feel like we were receiving the amount of care and accommodation as we’d hope for, so I asked my friends on the world of Facebook. Rubi Anne was highly recommended by a good friend of mine. I didn’t want to waste any time, so I contacted her right away.
Rubi Anne’s communication was excellent and promptly answered any questions we had. When we finally met her in person, it was just picking up where we left off. She gave us a hit list of what we needed to do and when it was needed by (and was polite and calm when deadlines came around). I really needed someone who was ON IT.
Rehearsal was perfect. She was prompt, organized, and was able to adjust and be the voice. I think she got along very well with my vendors and performers which was nice.
She communicated very well and kept me in the loop while I was still getting ready and where to go before the ceremony began. The reception was wonderful and flowed well. Rubi Anne always kept checking to see if we were ready for the next «event» to keep things moving along. She took care of the welcome table setup, our large displayed framed photos and collecting the candle glasses – all neatly placed back in the boxes for us.
I felt at ease and was so glad to have her be a part of our wedding. Thank you, Rubi Anne!

After Michael and I interviewed several dozen coordinators, prior to our wedding on July 27^th. I was soo blessed to find Rubi Anne and her team. It’s funny that I went to a wedding she was working at and it completely escaped my mind to contact her. I even gave her a review on Unilocal for that wedding back in 2011… lol!
Most of the well recommended coordinators that we met charged incredibly large fees for very little work. Several of them charged over $ 300 dollars keep the candy table stocked during the reception ALONE! REALLY?!!
My husband and I (I love saying that and writing it, too!) decided to have a small intimate wedding for about 60 guest. We knew that the details of the wedding were more important than anything.(Ex: table settings, wedding topper, candy table, grooms cake, wedding ceremony). Which seemed to be a challenge to every coordinator we interviewed prior to her.
The moment we met Rubi Anne, we knew she was the ONE! Even though our opinion of coordinators had been tainted, Rubi Anne was more than what we could ask for.
She showed up on time, was sweet, funny, attentive, organized and made our wedding sound even better than when we would describe it to friends and family. Her pricing was incredibly reasonable and she didn’t charge us an arm and a leg for little things. Example: restocking the candy table that cost $ 300.
Soo we had to HIRED her on the spot.
Once she was hired, we knew in our hearts we really picked the right person. She was very communicative before, during and after the ceremony. Anytime I was worried, stressed and about to pull my hair out; especially with the other vendors… Rubi Anne was on top of it before I could say GO!
I have to say our wedding was the BEST DAY of MY LIFE! Even the guest complimented how the wedding flowed so smoothly. Every guest had a blast! Especially US!
Lucky for the guest they were unaware of what was going on behind the curtains…
Everything I thought could go wrong did…
Lost my voice the day of the ceremony… Rubi made sure there was a microphone so everyone could hear me.
DJ forgot our CD … Rubi had two copies and made sure the right songs played at the right time.
Our cake topper was handmade and had sentimental value to us. I was scared someone would try to take it home or break it… Rubi made sure we had it by the end of the night without a scratch.
Photographer had a flat tire and was 45 mins late. Rubi made sure the photographer was calm & collective prior to taking pictures of me getting ready. She even made sure he had everything & anything he needed and made sure certain pictures were taken… and kept us on time.
She even made sure the priest could say my full name correctly during the ceremony… He was having trouble during the rehearsal… LOL!
I was soo stressed before we met Rubi Anne … she really put me at ease, which put my husband at ease that I wasn’t overwhelmed with wedding stuff.
Part of me feels that Angela B’s review was meant for another coordinator because it sounds nothing like Rubi Anne.
I don’t understand how someone can write a review for company, when they didn’t even use their services. That’s like judging an author before you even read their work. It’s a shame to walk around in this world with those kind of blinders on. but to each their own.
Rubi Anne and her team were beyond amazing for us. My husband and I see her as an angel who recused us in our time of need.

My fiancé and I met with Rubi Anne some time ago to interview her as a possible day of coordinator, and we decided to go with another coordinator because we were very unimpressed with Rubi Anne. She came across in our meeting as flippant and unprofessional. She was not rude, but her attitude was strange and definitely not one I wanted representing me to my vendors and guests. She constantly seemed to downplay the importance and complexity of our wedding, given that we only planned on about 70 guests. This struck us as quite patronizing. Furthermore, we felt nickel-​and-​dimed much more by her than we did by other coordinators we interviewed, and she charged extra for small services that most other coordinators included in their fee. Overall, the meeting left a very bad taste in our mouth and we selected another coordinator.

I previously worked with Rubi as her assistant for two weddings she coordinated. She is very professional and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her! She shared a lot of information and kept me informed throughout the night. I recommend her as she is personable, pays great attention to detail, and loves what she does! I look forward to working with her in the future.

I love love LOVE Rubi! She is hands down the best coordinator I have ever worked with. She is always on top of her game and has such an eye for detail. Not one of my fellow coworkers can think of one negative thing to say about her other than she is a heart warming person who knows what shes doing. SERIOUSLY. And I’m usually the first person to roll my eyes when I read something like this but every word I write is the truth. It doesn’t matter how dirty or tiring the job is, somehow she makes it look so easy. And let me tell you, sometimes things get intense but she always has a cool head and and easy smile and makes us all want to work harder. I’m trying not to sound corny here but Working for Rubi and with her has been one of the best jobs I have ever had! I truly hope you use Rubi’s pristine services for your wedding. She is the best at what she does and I know every single bride she has worked with will tell you so.

Rubi Anne was truly a blessing to have for our wedding. My wife found her on Facebook after some friends recommended her. Rubi Anne is very kind and organized. She was very thoughtful and she had many useful suggestions from her experience as a wedding coordinator. She took the time to listen to my wife and I about our questions and concerns. She did a great job with all of the decorations and supplies that my wife put together for the wedding. Rubi Anne made sure the church and the reception area looked perfect, and it did. We were so pleased with how everything looked that day. Everything was placed exactly where we wanted it to be. The day of, Rubi Anne was very calm and collected, she controlled the room well while also still being very sweet and respectful, especially when some things got out of hand. She did an excellent job of making sure we were on time and that we followed the schedule. Rubi Anne’s staff also did a great job, she was able to one of them make a run to BevMo when we ran out of vodka, that was so great of her. All I can say is that Rubi Anne and her staff were awesome. We can’t thank her enough for making our special day so smooth and memorable.

I recently worked with Rubi at Vy and Tristan’s wedding on November 3^rd, 2012 and I got to say Rubi and her team is really organized, friendly, accommodating to guests and vendors. From the moment I walked into the banquet hall I was greeted by Rubi and her team and they told me anything I need to just ask which was really nice since after setting up I was it was Rubi who brought me a cup of water (not the staff of the banquet hall). Rubi goes out of her way to insure perfection as a wedding coordinator and works great with all vendors. I received several compliments on how smooth and entertaining the wedding was and I couldn’t have done it with out Rubi. Thanks Rubi for making November 3^rd’s wedding a complete success!

She coordinated our August wedding and she went above and beyond to guide us through the rehearsal. She is great at creating meticulous timelines, schedules and contact lists. She even helped to set up the last minute personal items at our venue. She takes the job very seriously and is very responsive. She will make sure everything goes off without a hitch

Planning an entire wedding alone is absolutely stressful so having Rubi Anne during the most stressful time was a definite blessing.
Rubi Anne is super professional, friendly, prompt, and helpful. She listened to my visions and happily accepted all the diagrams, directions, and paperwork I had for her. She was honest with her opinions and suggestions which I definitely appreciated. She responded to my texts and emails promptly which made me feel at ease especially because I have a «Type A-​OCD» personality. During the final weeks before the wedding, after handing all the vendor contracts (and responsibilities) to her, I felt like a big rock had been lifted off my shoulders.
She did an awesome job following up with the vendors and keeping me up to date with what was going on. She was present for the rehearsal and was very organized… making everything run smoothly for my whole bridal party and I.
On the day of the wedding, she was prompt, nicely dressed, and ready to go! She was extremely professional and organized with an emergency kit and clip board in hand. I didn’t have to worry about anything… didn’t’ have to worry about vendors contacting me… setting up my reception… getting everyone together… forgotten guests… vendor payments… timelines…ETC… I didn’t have to worry about anything and it was such a nice feeling!
The reception was perfectly set up just the way I wanted. She definitely brought my vision to life and I was extremely happy and pleased with how everything turned out. There were little mishaps during the reception such as guests I forgot to make place cards for… guests who i forgot… catering was running a bit late… but she did everything in her power to fix it and she did!!! And I had such an amazing time because I knew she was there to either make things happen or fix whatever problem needed fixing. That alone definitely reduced my stress level as a bride. I’m definitely thankful that Rubi Anne was there to take the stress away so I could relax, enjoy, and have fun at our reception. THANK YOU RUBI!!!

I was referred to Rubi by a friend to be my day-​of coordinator for my February wedding. Having Rubi be a part of my wedding was one of the best decisions I ever made. She met with my husband and me multiple times before the wedding and responded to all emails so promptly which really put us ease. She had the whole day planned out for us but also left wiggle room between events as I requested. She really listened to all our ideas and was really helpful in bringing our vision to life.
I was so calm on my wedding day, some people couldn’t believe it. It was because I knew Rubi and her team would execute all the plans we’d made and they would do a wonderful job. My wedding turned out exactly as I envisioned it and more. I had an idea of how I wanted my ceremony site to look but when I actually saw it, it was even more beautiful than I had imagined! Just Awesome to work with!
Rubi is such a sweetheart with a friendly personality and is also very profressional. She did a great job of handling all our vendors and making sure everything was in order so our wedding can run smoothly. Just having her around before the wedding to go over some last minute things put me at ease. Trust me, the last thing you want to do is stress on your actual wedding day. Your wedding day should be fun and enjoyable and Rubi definitely played a role in acomplishing that.

Words cannot even express how thankful my new husband and I are for Rubi’s patience, professionalism, and help. She was so helpful throughout the stressful process of planning a wedding, and was always a step ahead with ideas, suggestions, and overcoming any issues that crossed out path. She helped us organize and load everything during rehearsal, and was very thorough and organized with everything. On wedding day, she was even more amazing and help setup our candy buffet and other things that needed to be done, such as finding the ring bearer’s pillow, using the flower girl baskets for the money dance (because we forgot pins!)
She was just a pleasure to work with and truly amazing. She worked with our vendors seamlessly and even was kind enough to put some flat shoes under our sweetheart table so I can dance the night away! She definitely thought of everything that it made our special day a dream come true!

I can’t say enough about Rubi Anne. Hiring her as the day-​of coordinator was probably the best decision I made for my wedding. I found her online and she didn’t have many reviews on her work at all, but I took a chance and met with her anyway for an informal interview. I was immediately impressed by her sweet demeanor, her professionalism, and her portfolio! Girlfriend had everything on lock down… there were spreadsheets galore. So I booked her for my wedding right away with about a month before the big day. Rubi spent the next few weeks answering all my emails/​texts/​phone calls, asking me for necessary information, giving me tips on wedding planning, reminding me to get certain things done, asking me if I need help with anything, and just generally being very informative and supportive. She also reviewed all my vendor contracts to make sure everything was done correctly. Rubi made sure to introduce herself to all the vendors so they could contact her instead of me on the day-​of. She made sure that I would have nothing to worry about. A detailed itinerary was created and updated almost daily in the last week before the wedding. She even helped with the rehearsal! On the big day, I did not worry about anything. Rubi Anne made sure all my plans were executed to my very specific instructions. She even brought a duffle bag of emergency supplies, just in case. I would always see her at the corner of my eyes scurrying about and I knew things were taken care of. During cocktail hour, sheeven brought fresh ice cold beers to the groom and me while we took our wedding photos! I mean, c’mon! That’s a winner right there! And to top all that off, she’s extremely affordable! Worth each and every single penny! I highly recommend this girl!

Indian /​Bangladeshi weddings are LONG! 4 different events, with 400+ guests. Our culture has many customs and Rubi was there to help with each function from setting up and making sure everything looked perfect to staying in to help with our party favors. During the reception, she made sure everyone had a place to sit and directed our guests on where to go and what to do. She made everyone feel welcome with her kindness and hospitality. She was also really great to work with personally, always available when we needed her and did not hesitate to help when we asked. She listened to all our ideas and added great input and never left us hanging. She’s very quick with email and phone responses so you never feel ignored. If you are looking for an event planner, I would definitely recommend her!
