History

Established in 1950.

In 1924, St. Sebastian Church opened its doors in West Los Angeles to serve the nearby Veteran’s Hospital. St. Sebastian was chosen as the patron of our parish because he is the Patron Saint of all soldiers and athletes. Years later, St. Sebastian School opened its doors in 1950. Currently we serve preschool through 8th grade children of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Saint Sebastian School is now home to West Los Angeles’ Dual Language Immersion Program in English and Spanish.
