I’ve had nothing but a great experience at this place. The people that work there are easy to talk to and down to earth, and experts in their fields, from what I can tell. I even bought a guitar and wasn’t totally happy with it and I was able to get a full refund — Joey helped me out, no pressure at all.
The open mic events on Wednesday nights are what attracted me initially… Rick the Mayor runs them and he’s a super cool guy.
If you look around, you might be able to find prices cheaper online, however, you will get some great service and help at this store if you go to a specific department searching for an instrument, or needing advice before a purchase.
And there is free parking behind the store (huge bonus, thanks to LA parking enforcement Nazis who try to gas you with fines when you park on the street in this town … yes, I don’t like them much).
