These guys work so hard to make good food and to offer great environment. They have a good variety with frequent rotations, while both the pre-​cooked section and the freshly-​made items are of well-​above-​average quality — consistently — for any college cafeteria that I have ever been to. If you work or study at USC Keck School of Medicine, you actually have no choice but to go here. And if you think about it, this is a good reference point: people working there never treat you as a desperate crusader who has nowhere else to go… as this is what I would normally expect from just-​about any other college café. And they are surprisingly affordable and manage to make great coffee.

Food is not worth the price. Totally over priced. Only thing good there is their salad wraps. I hate eating here. But it’s the only option we have being a soto employee.

I came here to get some lunch. I opted to get a tuna pack, and a medium iced latte. The tuna tasted a bit dry, and the spicy sauce was a bit off. But it provided a good amount of lean protein and carbs, so that wasn’t bad. The latte was actually pretty good, the whole milk rounded off the triple shot of espresso.
The selections here are for the more health conscious, and are a bit pricier. But I find it well worth it, and conveniently located.

I will only recommend this place to eat if you bring your own food and sit outside or inside to use the free wifi. Other than that the guys that make the food for your look absolutely miserable, hence the food taste miserable!!! I’m not sure why they work here if they don’t like serving customers, and the chef clothes?! Really? They are horrible! You can’t get a sandwich right?! Come on! Try smiling while your making a sandwich. Are they serving some kind of sentence? Well that’s what it seems like. I blame this on the management they need to straighten this place up. The only nice guy is the guy with the glasses. Don’t waste your time or money here. Go get a Torta or Sandwich on Valley and bring it here to enjoy the atmosphere.

I’ve been here a few times scrounging for some food during some training sessions. First of all the service here is horrible, and thus the average rating. The food itself is pretty good. I’ve tried some wraps and sandwiches, which are fresh and have pretty good flavor, though somewhat expensive. They also have a lot of other things to much on as well, which seem a bit overpriced too. Parking is in the lot out front for a quick grab and go.

Seeds is close to the office that it’s a 5 minute walk and they serve great food.
Been there 3 times this week alone, and had a nice time.
First time I had my lunch and a microwave was available, and bought coffee.
Second time I met a friend and ordered a tuna wrap.
Third time I had fried chicken and vegetables.
I will definitely be back.

It’s overpriced customer service is bad. I have made complaints to management, no improvement. Horrible overall.

Do not get any panini. Absolute disgusting mess. Cold. Beef jerky style chicken. Way overpriced. Ambience is nice, servers are nice, therefore I’m also going to be nice and give this place 3 stars. But really? I was pissed off after two bites into this panini, and remembering I forked over almost $ 8 for it.

This is the only place you can grab food in Soto building. The place is always clean and has a large seating area (both inside and outside). The drink and snack selection is good, as is the lunch menu (sandwiches, salads and the daily specials). The coffee and bakery selection is also decent. The service here is usually pretty friendly, although it can be a little slow during the lunch «rush hour».

With all the money students pay for tuition to attend USC, you would expect such a prestigious institution to have some better food offered to employees and students. The food offered here is extremely overpriced and the quality is ridiculously poor. As a student here, I would much rather eat at the food truck that’s occasionally parked at the parking lot than to eat at Seeds Marketplace.
I ordered the Hot Pastrami Sandwich, which is composed of two thin slices of pastrami, some dressing, and two slices of bread for ~$ 7. It taste no different than eating bread and dressing. A friend of mine ordered the lunch special which was a half chicken with some sides, and guess what. The chicken was pink in the inside. I’ve also had the tacos here for their lunch special, which is composed of 3 ground beef tacos and a side of corn ~$ 8. The ground beef was so oily it torn through all the tortilla and was starting to seep through the plate. I’ve made a vow to never eat here again, I’d honestly rather starve.
Not only is Seeds marketplace at HSC extremely overpriced, it can also be detrimental to your health. Please avoid at all cost!

I have been coming here since it opened because I work in the building. I was very happy with the quality of the food and the customer service in the beginning, I can’t say the same now. The entire staff is new and very poorly trained.
I stopped going in a couple of months ago because every time I went in I left uneasy or puzzled. Today was the last draw which brings me to write a Unilocal review.
I went in to purchase a breakfast sandwich, there were two people behind the counter and as I approach they both looked away and walk away. The Lady told the younger tall guy with freckles to take my order. He asked me what I wanted, I told him, then he asked what kind of bread, I told him, then he left and sat down at a table to eat oatmeal.
I stood there for 5 minutes while the lady offered me samples and made small talk. Finally a different guy with glasses came by and took my order and completed my order.
From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out it took 20 minutes to get a bagel.
The first rude guy never came back, he just sat there eating and no one ever apologized.
There were also zero customers in the entire place.
I truly believe this place can be a great asset to our USC Soto building community but they need more training. Customer service is key and with the high prices of the food in this place we should at least get a smile when we come in.
I felt like I was bothering them by coming in and ordering something.

Awesomely clean eatery at one of the USC Health/​Science Bldg.
Made to order sandwiches and salads as well as ready made food in the refrigerated section.
I was next door at a meeting and was told about this place so I made the trek over and discovered this little gem.
Plenty of seating. Well lit, tranquil environment.
I ordered a Caesar Salad and while it took a while for it to get prepared — it was rather busy — it was delicious. While I was waiting for my salad, I was talking to the chef who was explaining that it was just her prepping food because her co-​chef had gotten ill. She was nevertheless still upbeat.

Forget this place. Unclear which lines are for ordering/​pickup, basically a clstrfck at lunchtime, no way you’ll be in and out in 30 min to avoid citation in the reserved spots.
Note that the paninis they advertise on the wall (with all the other food that is made-​to-​order.) ARE NOT fresh… Waited 20 minutes «in line» to be helped only to be told that I first have to purchase my sandwich (another ridiculous line) then bring it back to the grill for a reheat? No thanks.

Very clean and well organized.
The caprese panini is the best I’ve had anywhere– it;s delicious and the ingredients are fresh!
The pastries are also yummy– my favorite is the coconut chocolate chip macadamian cookie.
