I couldn’t be more happy by choosing Send in The Clowns for my daughters first birthday! The owner Leesa was such a pleasure to work with, she responded to all my questions within a timely matter! Great customer service which is very important to me!

Last Friday we rented a classic mini-​train from Send in the Clowns. The kids loved it and everybody had fun!
It was a pleasure to work with Leesa. She gives you all the details and the instructions early on and confirms several times to work with you and the venue.
The guys came in on a very hot day but got to work assembling the train right away!
For two hours they made sure the kids had fun while being safe. The personnel was also polite to the parents and guests and always had a smiling face on!
Highly Recommendable!

Leesa was a complete pleasure to work with from beginning to end! We booked a magician and specifically requested a bunny act. Leesa was able to accommodate. The magician (Dave) was great with the children, even all the adults at the party were raving and fully enjoyed. He really fully captured the entire crowd. He really made my daughters birthday party quite awesome. Thank you Send in The Clowns for sending a great magician. I also love the balloons he made for the kids! We will definitely use this company for future events! Thanks.

Send In The Clowns did an awesome job for my son’s 5^th birthday party. Richard, who performed the puppet show was amazing. He kept all of the children as well as the adults very entertained. Leese, the owner, was also very helpful from the time I booked the party until the party concluded. I would highly recommend Send In The Clowns. Thank you Leesa, was helping to make my son’s birthday party such a hugh success.

Lisa was a dream to work with, and boy did «Indiana Jones» deliver! He was able to single-​handedly entertain over 20 kids, 6 and 7 year olds, mostly boys. He kept their undivided attention for 1 ½ hours. He was friendly, able, worked his TAIL off in the sweltering heat, and had endless entertainment for the little ones. Thank you!!! I would recommend Send in the Clowns to anyone and will definitely use them again.

Just had Molly and Abbey do a fantastic party for my daughter’s 7^th birthday and everyone loved it! Working with Leesa was easy and she responded quickly. They were professional and very upbeat. They really made the party the best it could be! I highly recommend them.

I hired Send in the Clowns this past weekend for my son’s fourth birthday party. David, the costumed character who led the children in games, as well as Cristina, the woman who was in charge of the crafts table, were both fantastic and worked tirelessly at creating a great time for the children. Five shiny stars for both of them! However, the owner and point person of Send in the Clowns”, Leesa, reminded me of a saying I once heard comparing certain people to peaches: pleasant on the outside, but you’re going to break your teeth on a tough pit if you go at it wrong.
Leesa was very bright and friendly at the get-​go, but the tone did a 180 for the first of several times to follow when I asked what time my order was scheduled to arrive. She bristled and said she would not commit to a certain time because the delivery schedule hadn’t been figured out. Wondering where I went wrong in asking, I tried to explain I just wanted to make sure they got there before the party started, as opposed to while guests were arriving. There was a pause, and then a sarcastic, «Why would I *possibly* send them in after the party has started?». I said I was simply asking because sometimes companies scheduled things without a time buffer — and just last year I had a bad experience with a valet service arriving well into my party. She shut me up with: «We at Send in the Clowns prefer not to be compared to bad experiences clients may have had in the past, as we are another company altogether and don’t appreciate the comparison.» Jeez.
We ran into the next speed bump two days before the party. She had called to tell me she wasn’t feeling comfortable about renting out my train ride because of the steps in my garden, and she’d be sending a man to my home to assess the situation. Thing is, we had been discussing my vertiginous land situation and what would work as a rental for two weeks. Since I had already asked her to come and assess the property at the beginning, this last-​minute change of heart (and likely cancellation on the main attraction for 80 guests) came as a bit of a panicky surprise. I told her I wished she had told me sooner, as I now had no time to make other plans. She started berating me about how I hadn’t been specific about the number of steps until now… I said «Leesa, please do not yell at me, I am your client!»…she started yelling even more and said «I am not YELLING, HEATHER, I am trying to make you UNDERSTAND that…». She didn’t let me get a word in edgewise for the rest of the conversation, and wrapped it all up in the one-​two punch by saying, «Besides, I know all the inventory at similar companies in Los Angeles, and no one has anything like mine. It’s not like you could get anything else that would be comparable anyway, so it doesn’t matter if we cancel or not.»
I was bent over the barrel after this conversation, wanting to terminate working with her company at all, but also knowing I had already signed the contract for the two entertainers — who, as mentioned, were delightful.
I feel that planning a sweet little boy’s 4^th birthday party should have some element of fun involved — and offer an experience that does not frazzle the parent (*especially* for the inflated prices this company charges). I see I am not the first Unilocaler to use the word «defensive» in regards to Leesa, and I think she would be wise to digest our comments… she has a way of making customers feel like she’s doing us a favor by working with us. So much anger there just below the surface. Send in the Clowns could be a great company — if she hired someone else to manage the «people skills» part of the job.

I found this company by asking our preschool in Santa Monica for the name of the company who does the school’s fun annual carnival for the kids.
We were very, very pleased with Ryan’s performance at our daughter’s 6^th birthday party — she wanted a pirate party, so we surprised her with a pirate! With many small children at the party, I requested the pirate be a sweet and funny one (not scary/​surly). Ryan «got» everything we were going for and made the afternoon a delight for the kids.
Our request was a last-​minute one, and Leesa got right on it to make it happen. She
was a pleasure to work with and one of the most professionally responsive/​responsible client contact people I’ve ever encountered, covering the communication bases with both emails and phone calls.
We’ll be back!

My sister-​in-​law hired a princess from this company for her my niece’s 5^th birthday. She was very busy with the party, so I did a lot of the groundwork and helped her out. I’ll never hear the end of it, because I’m the one that found this company and told my SIL to call and book. Let me tell you, the princess we hired was just ok. The headshots on the site look nice and appealing, but the princess you get in real life is much different. Performance wise, the kids were entertained for a small while, but then lost interest in the middle, and the owner of the company, Lisa, is extremely rude if you try to address concerns with her. I know I’ll never hire from this company, and neither will my Sister-​In-​law. Totally unimpressed.

We’ve used Send In The Clowns for 3 years and for 3 consecutive years. they never fail to delight. Leesa is always professional. courteous and extremely helpful with her explanation of the variety of materials and choices for various events and age groups.
Our parties go off according to plan. on time. and her team is consistent with their repertoire. each and every one of them over the years have brought their smiles and great party energy with them to ensure everything goes well and everyone leaves with smiles as big as their own.
I can’t say enough about Leesa and the Send In The Clown team of experts she employs to execute the blue print designed specifically for our party needs and our party goers.

I love Send in the Clowns! I have used them for the past 6 years! From tinkerbelle, Cinderella, Merida, to Hello Kitty. My daughters parties have been 30 plus kids and each character, every time managed to entertain the kids, as well as the adults. I have always received fantastic service from Leesa, the owner. She makes each booking painless and fun! Every character has been prompt (early), lovely, prepared, and «in character». I will always use Send in the Clowns for my daughters parties!

I researched and found this company that I was looking for my son’s 5-​year old Birthday Party at his school. We hired Spiderman. The kids enjoyed it, Spiderman was actively engaged with the kids, he came on time, his uniform was fresh and new looking and he had the Spiderman music with him! The kids were very excited, he entertained them for a complete hour 16 of them and had their full attention! I would definetely recommend this place, they maybe a little higher in price, but its TOTALLY worth it for your kid!
I will defintely call Bring in the Clowns Back for future Events! In addition, the owner LEESA was nice enough to provide me with a list of additional vendors she uses i.e. cakes, etc and although I didn’t use them this time, the services looked fabuolous and I maybe able to use them in the future!

Dave is the MAN! Came on time and the kids (AND PARENTS) loved him!
I highly reccomend Dave the Magician. He performed in front of 60 kids (yes, I said 60) and had them all listening and participating for 40 minutes straight. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

I booked a Luke Skywalker through Send in the Clowns to come entertain at my son’s 5^th birthday party this past weekend. Doug (aka «Luke») put on such an amazing performance and show for the kids. They were completely entertained and hanging on his every word and action for the entire hour. He was very professional, arriving 15 minutes early and hanging back until the kids all showed up at the park. He made this fantastic, grand entrance playing the Star Wars theme song and the kids came running they were so excited to see his show. There were even kids who were much older at the park that weren’t even invited to the party who came to see his show, that’s how engaging he was! For the next hour he engaged the kids in games, songs, magic, etc. all having to do with Star Wars. They loved it, and I could finally relax knowing everyone was entertained and having a blast.
Leesa the CEO is also extremely professional, courteous, and helpful in booking your party. Her response time was fantastic and she made it so easy to book entertainment. I highly recommend using this company for your party entertainment needs and definitely plan on using them again for future parties.

I was definitely very satisfied with the Captain America who came to my son’s 1^st bday party… It was super hot and regardless of the heat was very energetic, friendly and entertaining. He engaged with the kids and parents very well. Not only that but really like the fact that the owner also communicated with me very well and was very professional. Definitely would use their service again and would recommend them. Thanks!

I can’t believe I’m doing this: I’m reviewing a Disney princess.
More accurately, my sister just turned 7 and we were desperate to find an entertainer for her party. Creepy clowns in their 60s weren’t going to cut it and my sister was intent on having a Rapunzel-​themed party. I thankfully stumbled onto Send in the Clowns and they (with only a week and a half of notice) delivered Rapunzel. She was great: arrived right on time, entertained about 15 kids for the hour and a half we had contracted her for (various games, dances, playing with a parachute, and face painting). She was as good as any Disney princess we had seen at Disneyland (her manners, voice, and friendliness) and my sister was absolutely overjoyed.
To the guy below with the hair complaint: she arrived with looooong hair, laden with flowers, and a costume that looked like a stitch-​for-​stitch replica from the movie.
Anyway, awesome job by the actress/​entertainer and thanks to Leesa for her excellent customer service! We were not disappointed.

Everything about this company was top notch. Dealing with Leesa was great. She was punctual with all correspondence. Andy was our «Fun» guy and had the kids following him like the pied piper. I could sit back and talk with my friends while the kids were completely entertained. He did a funny magic show and lead some games. Heather was our glitter tattoo gal and she was kind and patient with the demanding kids.
I was very well taken care of. I’d love to have Leesa plan all the details of my kids’ birthdays from now on!!!

I have two great perspectives towards what Send in the Clowns brings to parties. One, as a vendor — I am a photographer who has shot many of Send in the Clowns’ parties and I have to say, every detail from the largest of items to the tiniest of features is absolutely stunning to the eye and delightful to the soul. As a mother I have seen children delighted, engaged, enraptured and filled with absolute joy at these parties. There is honestly no other party business that I recommend because there is no other party business that can do what Send in the Clowns does.

Send in the clowns provided entertainment for my son’s first birthday party. The «clown» Monica was not scary at all. In fact she was really sweet and nice, almost not like a clown but more like someone there to play with the kids. She was really good at gaging the audience. My son didn’t like the parachute play so she nixed that and went for music, which was a hit. Then there was a lot of bubble fun, footprints, and animal balloons. All in all, it was a hit.
Send in the clowns does a lot more than clowns. She has a full professional party planning service and all kinds of characters, rides and other ideas for parties. It’s a nice one-​stop shop when you’re planning a party. The owner, Leesa, is extremely easy to get ahold of and very pleasant to work with. I will use them again and again.

I went to a birthday party for a one year old. Not exactly my favorite thing to do, but since I have a one year old too… I guess it goes with the territory. What do you do for a little one’s party? My friend said that this clown, «wasn’t scary.» I personally hate clowns. They freak me out. The clown from Send in the Clowns was quite wonderful.
They did a lot of games for the crumb snatchers, dancing, balloons, bubbles, fun stuff for all. We watched many kids from one to about five eat it up. That alone is a ringing endorsement.
The only down side is that her CD kept skipping. I would recommend they clean the CDs and check them first…
