They helped me with a broken bracelet. Fast and friendly, intelligent knowledgeable staff. They are just lovely and I will definitely be back again for jewelry shopping.

Maggie designed a ring using the stones from my fiancé’s mom’s and grandmother’s rings. Our ring turned out better than we could have ever hoped. Their customer service is amazing, and prices very reasonable.

Maggie and Carlos are wonderful jewelers and great people! They are so trustworthy and patient and talented — Carlos handmade my ring setting exactly to my specifications and it is perfect! I was in desperate need of help to get my Cartier Trinity ring off my swollen fingers (due to a recent pregnancy). I called Cartier and they were indifferent and suggested I go to another jeweler or ER to have it cut and taken off.
My husband called Servis and Taylor and Maggie offered to have a look at my finger. I was concerned that they might not be able to help me and wanted to prevent an unnecessary visit (since I had a newborn) so called in to verify if they could help me. Am i glad I went into Servis and Taylor! Maggie and her assistant painstakingly worked on trying to remove my trinity ring from my swollen and increasingly blue finger. They used Aveda menthol oil, olive oil and the ribbon technique for more than an hour trying to get the rings off my finger. When it was apparent that the 3 rings would not come off — Maggie finally relented and suggested we cut one of the rings — as my finger had swollen to a scary blue by then.
Maggie and her team were professional, caring, warm, patient and simply perfect. they refused any remuneration for this service — despite the fact that it kept 2 of the occupied and unable to attend to other customers for about 1.2 hours!
Maggie also ensure that she cut the ring that did not have the Cartier inscription to ensure minimal efforts to fix it later on. When i inquired about them being able to fix it — she said that they could fix it but that she would like me to go home and take my time in deciding where i would like to get the ring fixed — so that I would not elect to get it fixed at their stored due to a sense of indebtedness. Maggie and her assistant were like Angels for me — they indeed went above and beyond what one would expect and in such a professional manner.

The story: I needed an engagement ring for my girlfriend, and they worked with me to create a beautiful custom ring in the style and quality that my girlfriend wanted (and deserved). Can’t say enough nice things about this place! I had a very unique gift idea I was aiming for involving a piece of fossilized amber. Maggie and Carlos took the time to present me with different ways I might be able to achieve the look that I wanted. After deciding on one particular method Carlos took the time to do a proof of concept so we could see how it would look before applying the design to the actual piece. The final result was an amazing finished gift that exceeded my wildest hopes of how it would turn out. They also managed to do all this work in only a matter of hours and I was an afternoon walk-​in. I don’t know how I could possibly put into words how amazing my experience was at Servis and Taylors, but I’ll try my best. From the start, Maggie was incredibly helpful and friendly. I was surprising my girlfriend and brought her in to check her ring size. When I came back the next day, Maggie not only remembered me, but also the ring size! Maggie and her husband have an amazing amount of experience and knowledge when it comes to diamonds and jewelry and they were instrumental in finding the perfect ring for me. Every step of the way Maggie was there to patiently answer all my questions and help me with every decision.
I think my favorite thing about Servis and Taylors is that you genuinely feel like family there. I never once felt like they were trying to sell anything to me, but that they were just trying to help me find the perfect ring. Maggie, her husband, and her children are such wonderful people and from the moment I first talked to Maggie, I could tell that I could trust her and that she had MY best interest in mind. I did my fair share of comparison shopping and never felt close to the same way at any other store. I can’t wait to visit them again and give Maggie a huge hug. Thank God for Servis & Taylor! They are awesome. I learned about them a few years ago when my now-​husband and I were looking at engagement rings. I was initially attracted to them because they are so conscious about conflict-​free diamonds. This expert team is very knowledgeable, honest, and friendly. We bought my wedding ring from them as well, and have returned for re-​plating. They have a beautiful selection of new and estate jewelry. They will work with you in designing something. I would go nowhere else for formal jewelry.

I don’t want to talk trash about Tiffany & Co., as I’m sure they make a quality product, but when I tried to get one of their silver chains serviced, it was far more pricey that it had been in the past, and more difficult than I had anticipated. Yikes. That’s when I remembered a cute little jeweler in the Westside Pavilion that my mother has been frequenting for years.
They’ve been there for years… a solid and reliable establishment in an ever-​changing and evolving mall. With decades of experience, Servis & Taylor offers not only a truly stunning array of pieces from a wide variety of artists, they also offer unparalleled customer service.
Servis and Taylor write the book on service. Up front, honest, knowledgeable, personable, and reliable… That’s S & T, in a nutshell. When I told Maggie my dilemma, she said, «I want your problems to end here. I’ll fix your chain for „X“ amount. Sound good?»
I was elated. Maggie told me exactly what to expect. She explained she was going to send it to their off-​site metal guru, and it might take a little over a week. I left without any concerns and got a phone call about a week later telling me it was ready.
When I picked it up, she explained that the chain was hollow. (This is a very thin, fine chain, so it being hollow was a surprise.) Maggie told me the work might be a little less spectacular that normal, and offered options if I wasn’t satisfied with the work. Personally, I couldn’t see any flaws, but then again, they’re pros, at Servis and Taylor.
After decades of family business, I plan to continue the trend. Servis and Taylor will be my first choice, should the need for something special arise. It is also my first suggestion to anyone looking for a jeweler. Truly impeccable «customer Servis.» Simply as good as it gets.

If you don’t like Tiffany & Co (or other multi-​national corp jewelers) and want to find a jeweler who can provide special, one-​of-​a-​kind pieces then Carlos and Maggie, a husband-​wife team, is for you. You will need to visit them and talk to them to understand why they received 5-​stars. If you know anything about jewelry, then you’ll know instantly you’ve found a gem.
I almost didn’t want to write this review because I wanted to keep this place as my own secret haven… but decided to tell others because my hope is they’ll make a lot of $$$$ and move out of the mall. :-)

Went here to get an engagement ring… and have kept coming back for additional jewelry. The owner — since passed away — walked me through every step of designing just the exact perfect ring for my beloved. The current owner and manager is tremendously helpful and skilled as well. They remember us every time we come by; we definitely feel like family. I’ll keep coming back.

The custom work is out of this work. Attention to detail and customer service is stellar. Picked up my ring a few weeks ago and cannot get over how beautiful it turned out. Thank you!

My wife and I purchased our wedding rings here a number of years ago. Recently I went back to have mine reconditioned. I just thought I’d leave a short review for this company. Not sure how their prices compare to other vendors as they sell very expensive and beautiful jewelry pieces.
But their staff is so nice and helpful. I think they have a great group over there. I’d recommend to anyone to go and check their selection out. They also know so much about jewelry and give excellent advice to people.

Love the one-​on-​one attention and first rate knowledge of everyone here. My boyfriend and I have been customers for years. Michael had always taken care of us and this is where all of my jewelry has come from – and worth it.
From day one I had the best experience buying from Servis and Taylor – they are knowledgeable, professional, awesome to deal with and they carry unique pieces from bold and modern to delicate and feminine. Not your typical cookie-​cutter jewelry store.
They never push you into buying anything you’re not sure of (Robbins Bros. tried to pull the limited time ‘deal’ and ‘what would it take for you to walk out of the store with one of these’ hard sell on my brother – seriously??) and they take the time to educate you on the quality and grades of stones should you ask for it. Even when we looked like young students we still received the utmost attention, information and care. It’s refreshing to be treated like a human being rather than a mark when you walk into a jewelry store.

Great store and they haven’t missed a beat since Maggie took over after Michael’s passing. I’ve been a customer for several years and have recommend many people to come by. Both Michael and Maggie have always been fantastic to work with. When I bought my engagement ring, Michael explained every detail on many diamonds and really helped to make the process as easy as possible. Maggie personally designed both the engagement and wedding ring for us, and we constantly receive compliments. They’re upfront with the pricing and always very honest and fair. Can’t really ask for much more from a local jeweler.

The selection of jewelry here is feminine and elegant! I love everything in this store. Some of the pieces look beautifully delicate but I would be afraid of breaking or losing if worn. The original owner passed away recently, but the woman working inside is extremely friendly and informative (maybe a little too informative, as I didn’t feel like she was listening as much as she was talking). She’s been there for 15 years if I remember correctly. The jewelry is a bit overpriced in my opinion, but that may be expected from the location. If price doesn’t matter, I highly recommend this store, the jewelry is stunning!

Servis & Taylor isn’t a «mall jewelry store», it’s a quality jewelry store that just happens to be inside a mall.
When I first started looking for a ring, I wandered into the store to look around, but had been warned about «mall jewelry stores» (mostly chain stores). I met Michael who was very low key and answered a lot of questions for me without being pushy or hard-​selling at all. I told him I wasn’t going to be buying for a while, and this didn’t deter him at all from being patient and helpful. He gave me a lot of good advice.
Months later, when I had become more educated and was ready to buy, I returned to Servis & Taylor. Michael remembered me and what we had spoken about, and again was very helpful with lots of suggestions. He knows his business very well, and made a number of suggestions which helped me maximize my budget.
I ended up getting a ring custom made in platinum. It is absolutely stunning and she was blown away by it. She continues to get unsolicited compliments on it everywhere we go.
I highly recommend Servis & Taylor. The quality is top notch (and I looked at TONS of rings at very high end shops) and the service couldn’t have been better. I found the prices to much more reasonable than other high end custom shops on the Westside — Santa Monica and Beverly Hills.

Okay. I’m a 24 year old dude from the Midwest. When I walk around, I’m sure I just scream «24 year old dude from the Midwest». I moved out here a couple years ago and met an awesome girl who I am proposing to very soon. As I was searching for a ring, I stopped by several different places. Independent retailers, mall retailers, and huge retailers ala Zales. Every place I went to, it seemed they were trying to «pull one over» on the 24 year old dude from the Midwest. Whether it be charging way too much for a crappy ring or attempting to smooth talk me into «buying today because this (horrible) deal won’t last». I was over it.
So, it hit me… why wouldn’t I just check my trusty friend Unilocal?I looked and looked. I wanted to find a place that was respectable, close to where I live, and seemed like they did a good amount of business. The first two reviews on here sold me. So I went to check it out.
I met with Michael Taylor. Awesome guy. He educated me, in depth, about what to really look for in a diamond and a setting, many times in contrast to what places like Zales had told me. I told him what I could afford, and what I was looking for. He said he had something very similar in a safe deposit box and asked if I could come back later in the week for a showing.
In the meantime, I did some research on what he had told me vs. what Zales, etc. had told me. He proved correct by every legitimate diamond forum.
Once he had the diamond, I returned, fully expecting a bait and switch. Not at all. He showed me a diamond that was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I said that it looked great and that I would like to know how much it cost. He said that it was the exact price we talked about last time I was in. None of the typical slimy salesmen crap that you would expect at all. Michael was knowledgeable, respectful, personable, and completely honest. This diamond, for the price, was easily twice as good as the other stores were showing me.
For a 24 year old dude from the Midwest, who from appearance alone, you can tell has no idea about diamonds, Michael treated me just as fairly as anyone could hope for. He was the type of jeweler that you always would like to deal with, but can never find.

There’s a stigma about jewelry stores at the mall and for the most part we stay away from the mall in general, but at the Westside Pavilion there is a gem of a jewelry store called Servis and Taylor.
10 years ago a young man decided he found the love of his life and wanted to take the plunge. He walked into Servis and Taylor and spoke with the owner, Michael Taylor, about getting the best ring his money could buy. And instead of leading this clueless man astray, Michael, in fact, helped him. He educated him about the ins and outs of a diamond and he got a beautiful ring his fiancé loved.
Fast forward 10 years and the diamond, while still brilliant in its D color and Ideal cut, was in peril because of its careless owner. The prongs of the ring needed fixing. The couple was amazed that Michael, who after 10 years must have seen millions of Westsiders come and go thru his store, still remembered them. Even more amazing was that he remembered the diamond, its specs, and the conversation he had with the young man! He carefully studied the ring and said he was able to fix it. Fantastic!
This couple will forever be loyal customers of Servis and Taylor. The quality of the diamonds and other jewelry ranks up there with the best. The customer service is unmatched! If you are ever in the mood to buy diamonds or get beautiful custom jewelry and are doubtful about others out there, then go to Servis and Taylor and leave your apprehensions at the door.
