Showgirl Body Bootcamp

This is a really fun class! The instructor, Kim, is also a professional Burlesque performer and the dance routine incorporates elements of that as well as more modern moves. I hadn’t been to an aerobics class in a couple of years and I was easily able to keep up with everyone else and follow the movements yet still felt that I got an awesome workout. Kim is friendly, enthusiastic and always has words of motivation/​encouragement for those who are a little rusty or lacking in confidence. In my opinion, this bootcamp is suitable for beginners all the way to regular dance class goers and all those who appreciate the art of Burlesque.

I’ve taken a lot of dance classes and workout classes around LA and I have to say that this one is the best. You rarely find a class that is great for so many different people– it’s great for professional dancers to beginner dancers and great for gym-​rats through people just getting started on a new workout regiment. Kim (the instructor) somehow manages to make it challenging yet do-​able for novices, which is pretty amazing. I always felt like I got an excellent workout after the classes but wasn’t in pain for days. It’s a perfect Sunday class (and there are lots of bars around so you can grab a mimosa after!)
The vibe is great, too. Kim is really sweet and attentive. She pushes you but in a way that you don’t feel like you have to go overboard. There’s no competition or «something to prove» vibe that you sometimes get in fitness environments.
The underlying theme for the class is Showgirl dance moves, so you learn some great showgirl dance moves and cute showgirl poses :) I actually look forward to coming to class.
TL;DR: Take this class! It’s great!
