I managed to catch these guys just 2 weeks after they’d opened. They were super friendly especially to someone who was interested in their business and the food they make. The girl explained that they specialize in Oaxacan food, that Tlayuda and Mole were two of the Oaxacan dishes I might know best but also described a crazy, Oaxacan style chile relleno. It sounded really good but sadly they didn’t have ingredients to make it on the day I was in so I opted for the Tlayuda. It was huge and most of the ingredients were tasty but the tortilla was a stale, chewy mess. It was tough to cut and tougher to chew, kinda messed up the experience.
It’s hard to earn 5 stars with that.
