This review is long overdue because over the past decade, Jennifer and the wonderful Sit Pet Sitting team have taken such amazing care of all our beloved dogs. I can’t think of anyone else who would take better care of them, and I think all 3 of our pups would agree. They LOVE Jennifer and the whole team! Everyone at Sit Pet Sitting is incredibly professional and so compassionate. Over the years, Jennifer has taken great care of our dogs over the holidays, when we’ve had long scheduled work trips, on frantic occasions when we’ve had to leave town last-​minute, or just when we’ve needed some extra help getting the dogs an extra walk and play session. They’re very responsive and leave detailed notes informing us about each visit. We trust them implicitly. They really go above and beyond and truly care about our pets. We’re just so grateful for Jennifer and we highly recommend Sit Pet Sitting to everyone!

Finding Jennifer and Sit Pet Sitting is the best thing Unilocal ever did for me. I have 3 senior Chihuahua’s who I am very overprotective of. so much so, that I have turned them into little nervous nellies around other people. Jennifer, Amanda and Jo not only cared for my pets, but were able to bring them out of their shells and help gently guide me into the more proper way of handling their socialization on a day to day basis. I felt totally at ease having them in my home while I was away and was constantly sent pictures and updates on their daily activities. What a relief. I’ve never written a review on Unilocal before. But Jen and her team have provided amazing care for my cat over the past decade during my frequent trips away, and Jen went out of her way personally to help my cat through a difficult medical situation. Absolutely wonderful.

Oh my god oh my god oh my god!!! Do yourself (and your dogs) a favor and call Jennifer immediately (or if not immediately, wait until you need a walk for your dogs!) Not only is Jennifer the most upbeat, kind, generous and person you’ll possibly ever meet, she is great at what she does, super responsible, and always on time. You’ll be smiling the second you meet her, and if your dogs are like mine, they will FREAK OUT (in an amazing way) when she comes to the house because they love her so much.
I have two rescue dogs — one is perfectly behaved and easy to deal with, the other is — let’s just be nice and call her a bit of a handful. I would not trust just anyone to deal with my «problem child» Shepherd, and I usually get nervous when someone new interacts with her.
Problem solved! Jen has an energy about her that completely calmed my wild girl down. Their walk together was completely without incident, and I am never nervous when Jen comes to pick her up for a walk because I know my girl is in the best of hands.
I’ve also had a few interactions with other members of Jen’s staff, and have found them all to be just as professional, calm, and friendly as Jen.
BONUS POINTS!!! — Jen is a master gardener and she gave me some tips about the trees in my yard — she even helped me prune them! This is a full service operation, people.

I have rescue dogs who I dearly love, but who can be quite challenging. I never thought I’d find someone who could manage and calm them, and at the same time who’d I trust 100%. Until I found Sit Pet Sitting. Jennifer and her team are AMAZING! They are thorough and professional; they are always friendly and responsive; and they go above and beyond for the animals in their care.
If I may keep going (I never miss an opportunity to recommend Sit, that’s how much I love this service), they also truly understand the dog world, canine communication, and rescue dogs with specific needs. Our dogs are well-​behaved and attentive to them, and best of all, my dogs LOVE them. Every walk or overnight we’ve scheduled has flowed beautifully. The walkers/​sitters take copious notes, and leave you cute report cards about your pets.
I just know my fur-​kids are in great hands, safe and happy, and I get to have complete peace of mind whenever Sit is around. This isn’t just a dog walking/​pet sitting business — this is a calling. They recommended my amazing vet, have gotten involved to eagerly help dogs in need, and have been an all around go-​to for all things pet.
I’ve moved from Silverlake now, but I still keep in touch with Jennifer. I practically beg to see her! It makes my dogs’ day (and mine.) Can’t say enough about how Sit Pet Sitting is unique, how my dogs have benefitted from it, and how much they put into the work they do.

I hope you do what I do when I consult Unilocal reviews. I read them all and determine what the balance of good to bad reviews are. I often feel there are people who will never be satisfied and you can sometimes tell that from their complaints and how they write. I usually zero those out.
There is a reason Sit Silverlake uniformly has 5 star reviews here, and that is because Jennifer Dibs and her staff are professional, caring, knowledgeable and loving. Any review that suggests otherwise is a complete mystery to me, and must be about something else. Do I think sometimes people and pets are not a match? Of course. But I do know this: Jennifer Dibs will give you and your pet 100% whether things work out, as they have for me for the past many years, or whether they don’t.
I have a dog with behavioral issues who is an older, cranky and sometimes unpredictable guy and he adores Jennifer and his walkers beyond reason. Jennifer goes above and beyond in her care of my pets. She knows them and their quirks and what’s normal behavior for them and what is not, so that when I have to go away for long periods, I know they are in good hands.
In fact, Tiffany, one of Jennifer’s carers, saved my cat’s life on a day when she wasn’t even at my house for cat care but to walk my dog. A dental surgery gone horribly wrong almost caused my cat to bleed to death, and Tiffany spotted a trail of blood all over the house and called me immediately at work to tell me something was amiss.
And, just today, one of my neighbors left her very tiny little dog in the yard, and the dog got out. My neighbor was looking for her frantically, and who was driving by and found the little dog in the street? Jennifer. She corralled the runaway who did not want to be corralled, and returned her to the owner. A big deal on a street we call Coyote Alley.
I have known Jennifer for many, many years, and rude is not a word I would ever ascribe to her. I often chide her for being too nice to people I would not be able to tolerate.
Trust me when I tell you this: five stars does not cover the type of care Sit Silverlake offers, and if you love your pets, you want them to be cared for by the best. Look no further, and take negativity that goes beyond what’s fair and informed for what’s it’s worth.

We had to go away for about 10 days and I found Sit Pet Sitting through positive Unilocal reviews. It was such a relief to have Jennifer and Sarah looking after our kitties, at a price that we could afford. Jennifer and her team are genuinely nice and caring people.
They came over before we left for our trip to meet us and the cats and to see the place. Jennifer came bearing the best cat toy ever — a cluster of chicken feathers on a string. No joke, this is my cats’ favorite toy. It flutters and glides perfectly. They love it.
They sent us some pictures while we were away, and it was a great feeling knowing someone was looking after our pets, and engaging with them (I used to do a barter/​exchange with friends, and would get the feeling like it was an imposition or inconvenience). They sent positive updates and Jennifer texted us to make sure we landed from our return flight — as they will continue service if your trip is delayed.
I highly recommend this service. Feel at ease that your pets are looked after and cared for while you are away.

I’d used another pet sitting service at my old place when I lived in a different neighborhood, and they were perfectly fine. The price was the same as Sit Pet Setting, and they did what they said they’d do; no complaints about them at all.
Jennifer and Sit Pet Sitting have now spoiled me. «Fine» and «doing what they say they’d do» is no longer good enough. Jennifer went so far above and beyond, there’s no turning back. Her attention and care for my pets, her expertise, her advice, was all more than I could ask for.
I will definitely be using them every time I leave town, and I’ll always be able to feel secure that my pets are being not just well-​taken care of, but given individual attention and made to feel safe.

Can’t say enough good things about these folks. They have seen me through 3 different dogs; one with a serious personality disorder, a rescue who was definitely a perfect dog and my current little sweet poodle, who is in love w/​Alex. They have helped out with sick babies and wounded babies and neurotic mom. Jennifer is always just at the other end of the phone which is very reassuring. It’s the night before my boyfriend leaves to meet me in NY and we still haven’t found anyone to watch our little Archie. That’s the orange tabby we’ve had for three years that has eaten one cat toy, chewed two computer charger cords to bits and destroyed many a cardboard box. He’s adorable, I swear! So cute that when we tried to invite a cat over to cat sit /​swap he stalked and sulked and hissed until the other little guy had to leave.
So we knew he had to have really proper care when we were gone. I really couldn’t do with someone without even four and a half stars. And that’s something I think Jennifer understands. When I wrote, even though it was last minute, and even though it was a holiday weekend, she agreed to sit for the days of our trip.
I’m not saying everyone should call her last minute though! Because then you might actually find that you have to hire someone else and then you won’t get an adorable video update of your cat purring while she pets him in all is favorite spots. I swear I played the thing over at least ten times. It was such a comfort, both getting the sound as well as knowing he was safe with her.

I can’t express my appreciation for Jennifer and Sit enough. She went out of her way for me, even at the cost of her own plans, and she did it on short notice and on a holiday. Their service is always above and beyond. Sit has, and will continue to be, our friends who take care of our cats when we’re away.

Jennifer and Shawn have taken such good care of our chihuahuas – they’re like a second set of parents. It gives you great peace of mind to know that the people watching your dogs in your absence are not simply doing a job, they love your pets like their own. They follow directions to a T, are intuitive about what a dog may need, and even provide guidance when asked. They taught our puppy to sit, lay down, and to give her paw. Jennifer frequently sends videos and photos via text message, which is so lovely to receive while at work. During a particularly busy day, when my dogs needed two sits, I came home at 9pm from a late night at work to find that Jennifer had even done my dishes (Whaaaaaat?) They are flexible and will do everything possible to squeeze you in at a moment’s notice. What an amazing group of people! I can’t sing their praises highly enough.

Jennifer and the team at Sit have been taking care of my dog since I adopted him six years ago — they are the best! They are reliable, trustworthy, responsive to last minute requests, and they genuinely care about the pets (and us). Whether it’s a daily walk or overnight stay (what a deal — a dog sitter and house sitter!), they are just wonderful. I love the note I come home to after each walk, describing my dog’s adventures. And my dog loves them too — when we run into Jennifer or Alex (my dog’s walker), he is so excited to see them! They’re like a member of his family, and mine.

If you’re considering or are currently using anyone else to care for your pets, you’re doing yourself and your pet a disservice. I have been entrusting Jennifer Dibs and her reliable team to care for my dog, Nemo, since I adopted him 8 years ago, and I can honestly say I have not had a single negative experience in that entire time. She is a consummate professional and responsible business owner. She understands the degree of trust her clients instill in her every day, so she adheres to high standards and ensures that the people she hires consistently do the same. Whenever I’ve been in a bind, Sit has come to my rescue.
Jennifer and her team are unbelievable pet lovers, and Jennifer herself is one of the kindest, most compassionate people I’ve ever met. She has become Nemo’s surrogate mother, and I truly believe she loves him almost as much as I do. I see how happy and excited Nemo gets when she walks through the door, so I don’t feel so bad about leaving him when I know she or someone else on the Sit team are coming over. I look forward to coming home and reading about the fun Nemo had (and often learning that he went somewhere I’ve never even been!).
To sum up, I really don’t think pet care gets much better than this, so be good to yourself and your pet and call Sit!

We’ve had a few dog walkers and pet-​sitting services during the life or our 2 k-​ass dogs. No looking back. At all. I’m not kidding. The others don’t even begin to compare.
SIT has become family (gets me a bit choked up to say it). We’ve used Jennifer and her team for almost three years now to look after the pups while out of town for just a day or so as well as for extended vacations. They’ve also been great for those times we both get stuck at work.
Jen came to our house for the first meeting (and subsequent houses) to «learn the ropes» of our routine and get a feel for the pups. She asked tons of questions and was all around invested in making sure she and her staff would take the best care of boy dog and girl dog while we were away.
When out of town we usually have one of the SIT people do a couple of overnights
which includes feeding and looong walks. They’ll also swing by and walk and feed the pups if we’re late getting home (with a bit of notice of course). I trust them beyond words. Always respectful of the house, never a trace of they’re being here other than the notes.
Oh the notes… They always leave a note detailing their time with the dogs. This is the special part. I know it sounds cheesy but it really is special. We’ve had other services do this in the past (industry standard I guess) and they were always generic and brief leaving us to question if they really spent that full hour or whatever that we paid for. SIT, however, always lets us know how they spent their time with the dogs. The first time we read one of their notes we laughed out loud and were so happy when they talked about how one of our dogs liked to sit on their feet. There’s NO WAY anyone would know that without spending quality time with girl dog.
If you’ve ever worried about what you’re going to do with your beloved pets if you can’t take them with you, thank your lucky stars you found these people.
PS: I think they’ll look after chickens as well.

i was lucky enough to find Sit four years ago and never needed to worry about the care of my 4 animals since. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

i would definitely recommend jennifer and absolutely use her again– i have a very unique situation where i feed 12 semi feral cats in and around my house… as u can imagine asking someone to take over for any amount of time, much less thanksgiving week (!) is a big deal. she was perfect, even showing up with catnip the first day to meet them, i couldn’t ask for anyone more reliable– my piece of mind that they are being taken care of is paramount for me to have an enjoying time out of town. she even texted updates. i feel i can leave town and feel totally at ease with everything now.

Jennifer & the sitters at SIT are amazing. Jennifer is clearly an animal lover and you can see that in the first interaction she has with your pets (my cats were easily bribed with her homegrown catnip!). I’ve had some not-​awful-​but-​not-​good sitters before and so my experience with Jennifer was a huge relief. My place is always clean, the cats seem happy and well taken care of, and I don’t feel like I’m putting anyone out if I ask how they’re doing while I’m away. They’ve also been very flexible with any schedule changes I’ve had. Definitely 5 stars!

The very best pet sitting service in L. A…hands down. Here’s our situation-​two guys, 4 mini Dachshunds and one crazy parrot. No kids, only dogs and we treat them like children. So wrong, I know. We are completely obsessed with the dog’s well being and mental happiness. The folks at Sit have us totally figured out. Yes, we are high maintenance and they handle us beautifully. We are a complicated house with many things always going on. They are ALWAYS on top of what ever the situation might be. We’ve been with them two years and they love our babies the way we love our babies-​unconditionally. What more could you ask for?
