I hate to admit it but I too was scammed by the salesperson at Skincare & Co at Horton Plaza. I could not get out of that store. Talk about pressure! I’m ashamed that I allowed this to happen to me. It wouldn’t have been half as bad if the products worked but that wasn’t the case. It only works for bags under the eyes when you first apply and 7 – 10 minutes later your bags are back. Also the skin under the chin. The same thing. Someone should do something to get these people out of the Malls and stop badgering innocent people. All involved with this operation from start to finish should be ashamed of yourselves!!!

Read Julie O’s review before you even read this one. They are mirror experiences. On September 6, I sent the following message to the Beverly Center through this link: I assume that The Beverly Center cares about its reputation, which has been stellar in the past. However, one store can change a mall’s reputation. Skincare & Co. continues to scam customers and fondle underage girls inappropriately, which is a criminal action. Yet The Beverly Center management allows the store to remain in Beverly Center, preying on customers and earning The Beverly Center in general a bad reputation. Why? I am clearly not the first person who has written negative reviews about the center, nor am I the first who has contacted The Beverly Center Management. Everything this review says is completely true from our recent experience, yet The Beverly Center doesn’t evict a client that is giving the entire mall a bad name. When your center connects its directory to Skincare & Co, no one answers or picks up. It says the number is no longer in service. Yet the store remains. Please, on behalf of your current and future customers, do what is right. Evict this company(and don’t allow them to change name and come back) so they can no longer prey on innocent people. – Read more in the reviews – including Jen G’s – and you will be shocked even more by what’s going on at The Beverly Center through this store.

Just bought Vine Vera Resveratrol Men’s After Shave Balm and I cannot stop using it. The prices are great and its the best gift to give. The beauty experts are amazing and helpful, there are couple that helped me out but I can recommend Ravit as the best one yet. I recommend this store to everyone. BIGLIKE

What a scam! I got 2 hours of a hard sell — not a facial!!! While walking in the Beverly Center, I was approached by young man who wanted me to come into his store, Skincare & Co. I told him I was busy. He was insistent, practically dragging me in, saying he wanted to show me a product I would love. The young man(Giovanni), put a rubbery strip under one of my deep inset eyes, trying to convince me he could correct my dark circles. The strip was hydrating and momentarily gave my circles a plump. Unfortunately, in the process, he wiped my make-up off one cheek and I left looking odd — but he offered a FREE basic facial(worth $ 500) if I returned at 11am the following morning. He wanted to show me how his products could take years off my face. I said I would, but I only had an hour to spare. Who would turn down a free facial? I came home and looked-up the reviews on this place. I called him to say I read these horrible reviews and was canceling my facial. I told him I would not buy any products from him, I just agreed to a facial. He said not to worry — no pressure — he just wanted to give me a facial to show me how wonderful his products are. He started our session by saying he read the reviews and he was shocked. The store had been run by pushy Israelis, but there were now new owners. Giovanni said he was from Italy and France, but mostly lived in Milan. He was NOT from Milan. He did have an accent which was very odd — rolling his Rs as he was saying my name — I’d say Middle-Eastern accent. He said he was the marketing rep for the company and was only in the store for a couple of days… in fact he was driving back to his home in Las Vegas right after my facial. Giovanni put a cream here and a cream there — talking the entire time — showing me a magnifying mirror with each application… trying to convince me how wonderful the products looked. In the meantime — not one product was applied equally on both sides of my face and they were not left on for the amount of time they were supposed to be. He applied creams on my face, throat and chest… never steaming nor cleaning — always leaving one side not done to show me the comparison. The only product I liked was a white rubbery mask that he left on my face for 10 minutes. It was the same product he had put under one eye the day before in an eye strip. It was hydrating and when it was removed my face was plumper and looked great. I asked the price of that product. AAAhhh — here comes THESELL… he opened his wallet and purported to look for coupons he could offer me. He produced a 25% off + a buy one get 2 free. He offered me 25% off the $ 1500 price of the box of 12 masks I liked, with tax, that’s $ 1,231, just over $ 100 a mask. PLUS for that price he would throw in $ 5000 worth of products… including a pore tightener which he sold for $ 500…but only if I bought them on the spot. Those coupons would be gone on another customer and I would never get this deal again. I told him I was not buying anything — he looked at me and said — that’s fine — but it obviously was not fine — he was visibly upset. All this time, I’m laying down in a little room, in the back of the store, with a cap on my head and a loop of peaceful music and koi fish swimming on a screen in front of me. Giovanni is towering over me, getting more and more frustrated. I just wanted to leave, but he just kept trying to sell me. Over an hour-and-a-half had gone by… He then, very dramatically, walked out and came back in the room with a pile of expensive looking boxes of products utilizing truffles, resveratrol and gold. He showed me before and after shots on his iPhone. I was supposed to be impressed, because he wanted to give it ALL to me for only $ 1,231. He said I should take advantage of his offers because I will never get that again. He was gone for Vegas right after my «facial» and didn’t know when he’d be back. Honestly, I would have felt really sorry for him and his sad eyes when he couldn’t sell me anything, except that I had called and tried to cancel the appointment, warning him I would not be buying. Upshot… I’ve had many facials in my life… this was a 2 hour hard sell — not a facial. A girl from the front came in to the room almost 2 hours later, saying his next facial was there. I walked out to see another lady of a certain age waiting for her 2 hour hard-sell. He lied when he said he was leaving for Vegas right after my facial… Within 30 minutes my face was no longer plumped. This place does not give facials — they are there for one purpose only — to hard sell over-priced products to people who believe if they spend more it must be better.

I wish I could give negative stars. I also wish I had read the other reviews before I even walked by this place. I was approached in the hallway outside of the store by a salesperson who just handed me a small tube of lotion, saying it was a free sample. When I didn’t go into the store, she/he(the salesperson was transgender) came back and grabbed my hand and my friend’s hand and pulled us into the store, sat us down, then pressured us to try products — NONE of which had any prices marked on the boxes. When she/he saw I was hesitant to buy anything, the salesperson removed my makeup from one side of my face and applied products to my face without asking me if it was all right to do so, or if I had any sensitivities. Just like Robin W, I also felt extremely pressured the entire time, and I felt as though I had no choice but to buy something just to get out of the store without causing a serious scene and getting the mall security people involved. I called the next day to return the products but they said that«all sales were final». The salesperson didn’t tell me that before, during, or after the whole nightmarish procedure. There was nothing on the receipt saying all sales were final. I have called them back several times, as well as called The Beverly Center to complain. This store is a giant scam and the Beverly Center should evict them immediately. This store has made me want to avoid the Beverly Center entirely. I have had this kind of thing happen at «lower rent» malls — but the Beverly Center used to be a respectable, classy place to have a nice day of shopping. This whole experience reminded me of the outdoor markets in third-world countries where people are yelling at you and shaking fruit in your face.

This company is located in the Beverly Center Mall on the first level. It is also known as ONSENSECRET… and DEADSEAPREMIER… and SEACRETSKIOSKS… and HIMALAYAPRODUCTS. I wonder why they had to rename it so many times… I don’t want to say too much on here because this company actually scares me… I would tell my story, but after knowing what I know, I’m too scared to exploit. WikiLeaks has already done so: Read the section #45 titled«Dead Sea and Organized Crime(OC)» in this link: Other links to check out: Also they have the Leaping Bunny logo on their packaging yet on they are NOT listed as being certified cruelty free. Please read these websites. You will be blown away. And now that they are located in our Beverly Center mall. I feel this is news-worthy. LA Times. get on this story!!! As for customers who are bothered by these sales reps: A standard rule for malls is that casual leasing clients ARENOTALLOWEDTOAPPROACHYOU unless you have approached them and are taking an interest in their product because in the terms and conditions of the casual lease they have to ensure they maintain the customers right to ‘quiet enjoyment’. They can say ‘Hi’ but that’s about it. If one calls you over you can make a complaint to mall management. They aren’t allowed to call you over/harass those who walk by. If management gets three complaints in the shopping mall the client has to pack up and leave.
