Smog Control

These guys are awesome. Showed up when they open at 8:30 without an appointment or anything and they were ready and had my certificate in hand within about 10 minutes. Very nice, very efficient, wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.

A smog certificate is often that one, pain in the rear, state required chore, that I put off and intensely dislike dealing with! These guys eased the pain exponentially! Mainly because of how friendly, sincere and warm the two of them are the second they approach you, which is appreciated because it’s a quality which is becoming hard to find. The service was fast, efficient and easy to get in and out. Extra time is something else I find myself in short supply of and it was much appreciated to be able to alleviate an additional task as painlessly as could be asked for! I will definitely return here with our personal and fleet vehicles for all future smog certificates!

A very polite man owns this shop with his brother who is really good at violating your personal space. The in-​your-​face brother wants his sushi prepared by Japanese men, and would rather Armenians than Mexicans operate and serve at Zankou chicken. Also, he doesn’t like French food and was not at all surprised when a Black family went into the expensive French restaurant facing their shop, which presents as a cheap Thai food restaurant, and left ten seconds later. I believe they were suggesting that this Black family either did not care for French food or for the price. Maybe both! The nice brother assumed that I would probably prefer kosher food and thinks my domain name sounds like a woman’s.
I’m grateful for the quick smog check and that they stayed open a little late for me. For the record: I enjoy Zankou chicken no matter who is operating or serving at their locations right now. I’ve had really good sushi served to me by people who did not appear to be Japanese. I’m pretty much an atheist no matter how much my face resembles the map of Jerusalem and I don’t really care if you think my domain name sounds like it should be my wife’s. And I’m not married at the moment.

Hard to like getting your car smog checked every other year but this year was the exception. Great price, quick service & good conversation. I would recommend these guys over any other.

These guys are awesome! Smog check in n out in 20mins for fity bux. BTW the address on here is wrong, correct address is 5308 Olympic blvd. It’s right opposite the Arco gas station on the southwest corner of Olympic and La Brea blvd.

Great experience here! They were fast — literally I was in and out within 15 minutes. One of the guys, Greg was super nice and even insisted on me trying this Korean boiled egg (it was good!) since I was on my lunch break and hadn’t eaten yet.
Be informed that they are currently located on La Brea & Olympic (the above address is wrong). Not sure if this is permanent or temporary.
I am definitely going back whenever I need a smog check. Cost was $ 50 for my 2002 Honda Civic.

I came on a weekday around 11am and was out of there with my smog certificate in half an hour for $ 60. the guy was extremely friendly and very personable.
I was dreading having to get a smog check but I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and painless it was! go here for your next smog check!

No line when I arrived $ 60 for smog check. Very relaxed environment. The check itself did not take a long time and I was happy when I left. I would recommend this place above others for the service I got.

I’ve been here three times over the past few years. Service is fast and the pricing is fair. As Ryan K. mentioned, they’re located at the southwest corner of Beverly and Olympic.
Another Note: The owners said the current address is temporary. They don’t know if they’ll be staying at the current address or going back to 820 S La Brea Ave once construction has been completed.

These two guys were so nice and conversational as I was getting my smog test. NOTE: Their location has changed from this address, but they’re just south a half a block on the southwest corner of La Brea and Olympic, under the giant TV Billboard. I was in and out pretty quickly, even though there was someone in front of me when I got there. They sent in the results quickly, so I could finish registering online. I very much recommend going there if you have to get a smog test.

Just got my smog test there. I was sent here by my mechanic. The two guys who run the place are very nice and I would definitely recommend them. Service was prompt and the guys were friendly. Very happy. Thanks.

$ 70 for my vehicle to be smogged which is standard for my vehicle. They were quick and even personally recognized that I maintain my car well.
Smog check places are a dime a dozen and so as long as they don’t lie about checks and make you buy things like gas caps and whatnot, then they are fairly similar. That being said, these guys are quick and respectful.
