Smooth n’ Purdy

This review is for Gregga. My hair fell a few inches below my shoulders when I decided I wanted to cut it off «lob» style. Being only 7 months away from my wedding, I had to go to someone I trusted. I loved all of the cuts on Gregga’s Instagram and scheduled my appointment for as soon as possible. I could not be happier! This cut makes me feel sophisticated and sexy. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it. I don’t like to spend time on my hair & this cut let’s me get away w it. Just shower & air dry! Thanks Gregga! Love the cut & love you!

Gregga is amazing! Went from a Carmel rooty blonde to an icy platinum and I love it. She is a go to for cuts and color. Definitely recommend Gregga to anyone looking for a fresh look :)

Gregga is my go-​to girl for haircut and color. She is so talented and knows exactly what’s right for my look! Trust her — she knows what she’s doing, been using her for years! I love Gregga~ She’s been cutting my hair for some years now and I totally trust her style and cut. I kinda mumble what I think I want and she totally gets it! She patiently listens to me and like an expert, knows how to tame my hair. She shapes my straight boring, cow-​licked hair into sharp, edgy, sexy, and naturally gorgeous looking coiffure without the high maintenance.
It’s hard to find hair stylist who understands what my hair likes to do and tame it right. So I used to pay a ton money at fancy expensive salons to be able to trust and feel great.
But Gregga’s got that gift with hair and doesn’t cost me a fortune. She’s totally down to earth and cool. She is very easy going and very attentive to what you want and your style. And for those days you’re just not sure what you want, just trust her. She’ll make you look Fabulous~
Her new salon at Smooth n’ Purdy is super cool and chill. I’d totally hang out there. lovely courtyard, easy parking, and clean, modern, and relaxing salon space. Will go back there for my «Treat yourself» day~

This review is for Gregga. I’ve been going to her for several years now and am super happy she finally has an LA location.
She cuts hair great and is my go to right before any work related event where I have to look good.
The new salon is super chill I love the outdoor garden areas and she gives a nice messaging shampoo in the back setting me up feel real smooth n purdy.
Will definitely keep coming back!

I went here a few weeks ago for a haircut with Gregga and she was amazing! The salon is really chill, has interesting art all over the walls, and it is well kept and clean. I would suggest seeing Gregga. She is professional without being stiff, can carry on a good conversation, and most importantly she is great at styling/​cutting hair. I will definitely be going back.

Really cute hair oasis near a walkable part of Atwater village. Lotsa street parking. I found Gregga through a close friend who has great hair. Gregga cut my hair and did a killer job! I used to go to a salon near the Grove, but I think I’m going to have to switch stylists now. And I’m pretty sure I’ll still see her even after I move to the Bay Area next year. I love this salon and my stylist Marin. The salon has a great vibe and easy neighborhood parking. I have been getting my hair done by Marin for a few years now. She is such a great person and has this magic ability to give me the best cut and color ever. I will go to her and describe different haircuts that I want and she will somehow combine them and come up with the perfect style for my face. She listens and is honest with me. If she thinks something will look bad she will let me know. She is also fun to chat with and will do her best to make her schedule work for you.

It took me a while to find someone who actually knew how to cut curly hair: other stylists either wanted to cut them all off or leave them too heavy.
Marin knows the deal. She’s rad; and she does free bang trims!

I get my haircut by Candise at this salon and have been going to her for years. She’s able to cut your hair so it looks great right after she cuts it and great while it grows out. She is also the sweetest and super quick. I really recommend her. There’s no parking lot, but there is plenty of free street parking in the neighborhood as well as metered parking right in front. Also a great selection of boutique hair products and skin care here.

Came here when I was in the LA area with a friend because the salon was hosting a gallery for Michael Hayden (the night prior to this show was for Tony Hong). Fell in love with the art space, the art, and the artists (got to meet Tony and loved his work as well as Hayden’s — was actually blown away by both artists!). Had a blast here, saw great art, and loved the space!
