Established in 1987.

As a board member of the Diamond Club West Coast, I am proud to have been in the jewelry business for over 40 years. I have personally been involved with manufacturing, design, and sales in the downtown jewelry district exclusively. My experience is far reaching and I enjoy working with customers on a one-​on-​one basis in order to provide the highest quality of service possible. I graduated from Long Beach State University with a degree in Psychology and attended graduate school at UCLA. I have worked in a family business for over 15 years and following that I opened Sol Jewelry Designs in 1987 with my wife Giselle and we have been in business ever since. I am highly skilled in special orders which require expertize in design and manufacturing. My 35 years of experience is very important if you are looking to create something special and unique.

While he has a great catalog and is a strong communicator, his expertise is what really won my business. He doesn’t just ask about budget or preference, he was very inquisitive to the use of the ring. Knowing my fiancé’s size, her look and style helped us decide the on the weight of the rock and the proper setting. Sol is the complete package and all my pals have followed suit — you’ll be glad you did too.

We were in the market for my engagement ring and we scheduled an appointment with Sol and I had emailed him pictures of styles I liked before we went in. I recently purchased a custom-​made engagement ring from Sol. I was referred to Sol through a friend and can’t thank both of them enough for eliminating a lot of the stress and anxiety that comes with purchasing a diamond for the first time. He was very helpful in explaining all of the aspects of selecting a stone and the custom setting was crafted just as I wanted it (correction: how my fiancé wanted it).
I went in after giving him a call to describe my budget and preference, and he had carefully pre-​selected some diamonds for us to take a look at together. It was a completely different experience from the salespeople I had chatted with a few times at retail stores, who seemed to know very little and were always trying to talk me up on price. Sol was able to complete my custom setting in less than 3 weeks time and promptly shipped the ring overnight via Fedex.

Sol is your diamond and/​or jewelry answer… well worth the drive and small pieces can be shipped. We are engineers and wanted to design our own ring. (which means we are over designers by design) He guided us through the process, completely understood what we wanted and without him the dream ring could not have happened. He’s been in the business for over 20 years, and it shows. He was very patient with me and helped me get educated about diamond buying both over the phone and through email exchange. He knew exactly which parts of the 4 Cs mattered, and how I could get the most bang for my buck. His prices were also better than anywhere I could find.
