poor quality equipment and bad customer service. refusal to fix their mistakes.
poorly done incomplete installation. extremely loud high pitched frequency sound at all times when the system is on. when i hit the gas pedal it gets louder and louder and gives you a headache. they told me «its normal.» their equipment is previously used, damaged, old, and overpriced.
I bought some infiniti kappa speakers and an amp for my car, and also wanted to put subs in, so i went here.
after speaking with the staff i bought 2 subs and an amp. Rockford Fosgate P3D4−12 and a Hifonics Zeus 2400 watt amp (recommended by the staff).
they installed all my speakers. 6.5 components and 6×9 three ways, plus the subs and 2 amps.
the installation job they did on my internal speakers was absolute garbage. they didn’t even mount my tweeters. they left the tweeters hanging from the exposed metal on my car door. they said its too much work to mount them and never offered to fix the problem, they just told me they cant do anything with them even though they would have fit where the stock tweeters went.
the subs sound like garbage. no quality of sound or range in any song. it just makes booming sounds and distorts the rest vocals and treble. the tweeters cant be heard because they aren’t even mounted in a location that will suit their purpose. you can barely hear a clear voice from the internal speakers when sitting in the front seats.
the amp they sold me blew after a few months of use, and i didn’t even have the subs turned up half way most of the time.
when i went back to ask them to inspect the system they wanted to charge me to figure out why the amp blew and said they will charge me for new equipment anyways, plus installation cost.
i took out the subs and amp they installed and found that the amp they sold me was used and damaged to begin with. the screws were worn out, the warranty stickers on the bottom had been cut, and it smelled really bad.
after a bit of investigation i found that the amp they sold me for the subs weren’t even sufficient to power the subs. they just sold me whatever to get a sale.
i paid close to $ 800 at this place for my system and it sounds like trash. they refused to fix it, and they even gave me an attitude when i went back to get the problem checked out.

ALL SALE ARE FINAL! NO RETURN POLICY! Went there earlier, very disappointed for the second time. First time, thought the seller made a mistake and sold me the wrong wires and install kit. Was willing to trash that since NO RETURN POLICY (or FINAL SALE on fine print). My mistake for not reading. Anyhow, went to look for the same wires for the same model. They end up saying it was right model. Went down the street and ask for the same model, this time the other store gave me the right part for the right model. Please understand all sales are final, not your best buy or customer guaranteed satisfaction. Will not recommend to anybody. My model was for a Jeep Wrangler not universal wrangler lol.

Got the runaround when buying a stereo, was send down the street to get radio installed, installers very unprofessional .was standing in line for 10 minutes while
employees talked about there weekends.
first and last time i purchase there, don’t recommend to no one

This place is a rip off. They do alot of false advertising. They always have nice deals in the adds in the pennysaver’s but when you go down there they bump up the prices and sell you sum bullsh*t…

Do your homework before coming to this store! I found the same product for a lot less!!! 104.96 to be exact!
Obviously, the store has a policy to protect them: «ALL SALES ARE FINAL». They even overpriced the item from the Pioneer website by 19.95 $

Two screaming kids, a six hour car ride up north and a brand new SUV. A recipe for disaster. In comes Adam and his team of experts. Took my car into get DVDs installed on a Thursday expecting to be done on a Saturday. Get this. They finished that day! And the prices are unbelievable. I’ve referred all my family friends and would recommend them to you too!

i wish there is no star … this shop is a rip off … i called in today to ask about audio streaming for my car… the guy i was speaking with gave me a quote. so i took my car down there … i told them i called ealier. no one was aware about it … moreover the price has doubled. they said «its impossible that someone should gave you that price … you should have get his name.» they did not even try to give a little discount for the inconvience or even a «sorry» … furthermore the parts are OVERPRICED. I really dont recommed that rip off shop. GO somewhere else and save your money.

I just called them to ask about a new stereo install for my Jeep. I was transferred 3 times to people who again transferred me to someone with the «Right information». You work at a stereo place and you can’t answer a simple question about how much it would cost to install a stereo? Dogshit. LA is crawling with automotive & audio businesses. I’m going somewhere else.

Every time I call they put me on hold for a long time and then they hung up customer service is awful.

Where do i begin, customer service A++, product A++ overall A+++ this store is great, gustavo met all my radio needs and helped me with my in dash receiver, even though i made about 3 trips back to the store for help always made sure that the customers needs is first on the list. I will definitely come back and refer my family and friends about this place :)

Ask for Carlos he’s the main guy there! He helped me decide what tablet would be better for my school. It’s a great place to shop!!! A lot of items and possible gifts for birthdays! They have an entire selection of Hello Kitty although I’m not a huge fan as others may be. They have guarantee on electronic devices like tablets that I just purchased! :)

This is my third time coming to SOS in the last two years and they continue to keep getting better. Their customer service over the phone and in person is amazing. They genuinely take the time to help you get what you need.

Although I’m a new customer of SOS, I made a big purchase for a new JVC system, car alarm, and killswitch for my 2000 Prelude back in November. Recently I had problems with my alarm keypad that went out, I called & talked to Gary explaining the problem & brought in my receipt & they replaced it within an hour and a half. I highly recommend saving every receipt just in case you have problems with your purchase as I did. I give SOS 5 stars because they have amazing customer service, they stand behind their products & I plan on shopping here in the future. My system sounds awesome now but once I go back & install an amp & subs its gonna be heard from around the corner! :) If you see (or hear me) say what’s up Unilocal!!!

This place is amazing. I’ve been a customer for about 5 years now. My family and I have bought stuff from some great HID lights and just 2 days ago bought a whole new system for my Yaris. Someone up here said they’re «shady»? Hell no! This place is legit. All items are legit. If this place was «shady» I wouldn’t have spent 2 grand on pure JL audio speakers. I bought a 12 W6, 6.5″ C5, I forgot what my rears are but hey are JL, and two top of the line JL amps. If you are into systems at all you know a JL 12W6 is the real deal and that whole setup could be way more than 2 grand not even including the installation. I had a problem with a setup they did for my dad’s Eclipse and they fixed everything right away. If they were «shady» I’m pretty sure they would have had sold me without telling me that Boston Acoustics is done and had no warranty. I’m the kind of guy that if I’m going to spend 2,000 on a system I am going to get legit stuff.
Their guys that do the install may not be «Certified» but I would trust them with anything. Certifications don’t mean anything to me because it’s just like computers with their stupid A+ cert that I don’t even have but have outsmarted some certified «Geeks» at Best Buy. But anyways, these guys have a passion for stuff like this and that’s why they have done installs on Lamborghinis and Bentleys. And yes I have seen both cars there. One was a nice Lambo Murcielago and the Bentley was new off the lot and didn’t even have plates.
This place is great and I will not be going anywhere else for my systems. If you want the full warranty and all legit items but not pay anything close to Retail price, you need to come here.

a friend recommended this place to me because that it where she bought her car stereo and installation. after i purchased the stereo and had it installed i got home and I realized they hadn’t given me the manual so i couldn’t figure out how to set it. I went online to jvc and saw that every car stereo they had came with a remote control. I called JVC and asked them if there was any way my model would be sold without a remote and they said no. so i went back to Electra and they gave me some bs about how they must have thrown it out with the box. well my friend also did not get a remote for the same model so he is a liar and a cheat. also my dashboard was very loose and so i asked him to put it back the way it was when i came in and he wanted to charge me. stay away and find a reputable dealer to by your car stereo

I love this place. When it comes to installing a new stereo or in dash in my cars. I know this is the place to go. There installation prices are very reasonable. And the staff is fast and friendly. The only thing bad with the place is that weekend get real busy. And have a two hour wait to get anything installed. And they need a waiting area with A/​C and heater, and a leather couch and a big LED TV.

Went to get an Aux input installed on my ’05 Mazda3, they got me exactly what I wanted and installed it in about 40 minutes. I took away a star only because there’s no waiting area, so I waited outside by my car in the heat, but I guess that’s why their prices are lower!

I was referred this way from a buddy. He told me that because they are a wholesaler, bring cash in hand. I did so. I came in with 400. I wanted to purchase speakers and an amp for my Nissan Versa.
I found the place and was surprised to see the lot full of customers who were getting stuff installed. Being a DIY sort of guy, I do my own stuff, but I felt sort of lazy that day. I figured it’d be an option if I walked off with anything.
I browsed the section to find a great selection: Entry — mid — and high end products. I was even surprised to even see that they carried Focal!
After an hour of arguing with myself, I decided to ditch the speakers and grab a double DIN Pioneer Head Unit.
Retail = 450. I walked off for 350.
I was very skeptical as to the price. «Is this stolen?» «Is it refurbed?» The sales rep, I forgot who, but they were all helpful, reassured me of their warranty. 90 Day Return policy with receipt and that they were an authorized Pioneer Sales Store front. In other words, there was no grey market and that I would have my full warranty, backed by manufacturer.
Would I go back? Yes
Would I recommend a friend? Hell YES
Would I recommend it to Unilocalers? F***K YEAH!
BTW — With the savings I made, I was able to walk off with the HD Radio tuner as well =)
