Amanda Cohen, M.A., L.A.c., Doctoral Fellow (D.A.O.M), is a Board Certified Chinese Medical Physician (L.A.c.) who is passionate about helping her patients achieve optimal wellbeing. She holds a Master’s Degree from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine (Summa Cum Laude) and is a Doctoral Fellow (Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) at Emperor’s College. Ms. Cohen also holds a Master’s Degree in Health Psychology and Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine, with an emphasis on mental and physical stress. She holds a dual Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in Cultural Anthropology (Cum Laude) and Clinical Psychology. As an integrative primary care physician, Ms. Cohen specializes in stress, stress related disorders (IBS, insomnia, migraines, PMS to name a few) and reducing the side effects of cancer treatment.

Amanda Cohen, M.A., Dipl. O.M., L.Ac., Doctoral Fellow is a warm, compassionate and thoughtful physician and continues to help guide her patients to thrive in her care. Amanda helped pioneer a sustainable acupuncture clinic in Kandy, Sri Lanka in 2012 with the One World Health Project (OWHP). As part of the OWHP, Amanda trained MDs and other western physicians auricular (ear) acupuncture and provided acupuncture treatments to persons with disabilities and orphans at Fridsro Orphanage in Sri Lanka. In 2013, she was a clinical intern at the Venice Family Free Clinic, an integrative medical clinic in Santa Monica. Currently, she is a Doctorate Fellow at the Disney Family Cancer Center at Providence Saint Joseph’s Medical Center, working with Dr. Robert Chu continuing to ease the side effects of cancer treatment for her patients. Amanda is also working with a local non-​profit to provide acupuncture to veterans with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury.
