Space Station Casting Studios

The best! Needed a last-​minute self tape session and Space Station saved the day. Great staff and everyone is always friendly and helpful.

This place rocks. I call it my Good Luck Space (Station) It is clean, organized, tidy and Totally friendly and Courteous ! I love this place!

This place is pretty standard as a casting space. The only qualm I have is with the front desk lady who has been condescending to actors the three times I’ve been here for auditions. We ask questions because we have questions. Why do we need to be treated terribly right before an audition and give all of our power away? I don’t even want a call back if it means I have to come back here for my second interview. As an actor, I really look forward to casting spaces that have staff who are friendly and helpful to actors because actors will then audition more truthfully and wholeheartedly and joyfully give their best efforts. We face so much just trying to get into the audition room prepared, in one piece, and on time… and then we have to face more opposition with the staff? I’m honestly dreading my next audition here for fear of getting barked at. And I feel sad because I feel like the front desk lady hates her job. Or hates people. I don’t know.

Michael is a super ! Professional polite thorough. What a great representative! Called other people or studios today and met with rudeness. What a breath of fresh air.

Usually come here for castings.
But today I took one of their classes (never thought I would! I thought those classes are for «new to LA» kinda people). But! Turned out it was highly informative, even more so for people who’s been around and know the game, as you have a chance to actually understand and wisely use the information provided to you by the actual working professionals (and not retired individuals, who’s trying to make some money on a side, while providing outdated information, as this industry changes as quick as technology develops).
Anyway, it was a very valuable hour and a half that turned into two hours and a half and only for a price of 5 small almond milk lattes!

Great place. I’ve been casting here for more than a year and the staff has always gone out of their way to make me comfortable and to make my experience better. Booking is very efficient and easy.

Me and two friends needed somewhere to tape auditions for an ABC showcase. Space Station more than exceeded our expectations. They gave us a camera and one of the biggest studios to use. The receptionist brought us a bottle of water and cups. It couldn’t have gone smoother. I have also gone in a couple times for auditions and the place has a good welcoming energy to it. 10/​10, would go again

This is an AMAZING casting facility with an AWESOME staff! And now they have launched Artist’s Initiative, which offers INCREDIBLY INFORMATIVE classes to actors and other film industry artists at very low rates (only $ 20 – 25). Some of the awesome classes I have recently attended are:

This place is always amazing. Very organized. Friendly staff. Always have a great time auditioning at Space Station.

Been doing this for a long time and my business partner and we really dig this place. The staff is really nice and are great at accommodating any concerns/​questions. There is even a menu so you can order lunch in without leaving the area. Parking is relatively easy and the staff will help you at the gate with a phone call. Come cast here for the friendly staff, comfortable rooms and creative atmosphere.

What can I say? Well I can say that the staff here is super friendly and helpful. I felt so comfortable. I have told everyone know about this place!!! Breath of fresh air in Hollyweird!

Went in for a self taping session, which was free. I don’t want to spread the word for selfish reasons. haha.
Azra was friendly and the room was set up by the time I got there. She explained to me how the equipment worked and even got a second light when I needed one. Very very helpful!
I’ll be going back to self tape again and again.

GREAT BUT NOISE ISSUE
We rented a room to hold auditions for a project. Staff was nice and the building is in a good location (fairly centrally located and not too far into Hollywood that parking/​traffic becomes difficult).
Only issue is the noise level. Our room (room 2) was situated right next to the bathroom hallway where people apparently stand and chat (like, right outside our door). This seems like a minor issue but literally we had two auditions where we couldn’t quite hear what the actor was saying on tape because of how loud the people outside were. Maybe a «quiet please» sign or something much alleviate this issue for future productions.

First of all, I am a professional actor who has worked with Michael Bay, amongst many great directors, producers and casting directors. I have ALWAYS had the GREATEST experience in auditioning or casting my own creative projects @ Space Station.
Your personal attack on Jana is completely ridiculous and unfounded. I’ve known Jana like a brother for the MANY years that I’ve been coming into Space Station to explore the art of being an actor. She is BY FAR, the nicest, helpful, and most willing to go the extra mile to get you exactly what you need. I remember before an audition I had with Michael Bay, that Jana even took the time to run lines with me even after her shift was over! She is not looking out for herself, but ONLY for the well being of everyone in the room and Space Station itself. Love her so much and I couldn’t be happier with the overall experience I’ve had at Space Station during my time as a professional actor.

I came here to self tape some scenes.
1. It was free. Like free free. I did not pay one penny. I just called a few days prior and set up my appointment time. They asked if I needed a cam op or reader, then proceeded to give me precise directions on how to get there and what I needed to bring.
2. When I walked in, I was greeted by a smile and felt welcome. The receptionist then took it upon herself to set up my room completely and even asked if we wanted refreshments before leaving us to start filming. Very sweet and helpful.
3. When I was finished with my scenes and it was time to upload, I ran into some issues. A lovely woman by the name of Shiree (I’m sorry if I butchered you name) came to my rescue. Seriously, she worked on my files until ever last one was properly uploaded onto my computer and played back perfectly. Without her, I would have been s.o.l. Keep in mind that she in no way needed to help me, let alone go out of her way so much to ensure I had my footage. Thank you again Shiree and space station casting!

It’s a comfortable and warm environment to do something that most actors find tense and cold. I wish every audition I went to were here. Is there a way we can make that happen? Is that possible?
Everyone there is friendly, helpful, and make you feel welcome. I can’t wait until I’m brought back here.

Long and narrow place, but pretty easy to get to from the OC and 101.
In a weird spot, but street parking seemed to be easy, thats a plus for a NY’er like me!
