I have been going to this Starbucks everyday for over 6 months, ever since I moved into the neighborhood. I have to say, there are days that its busier then a beehive, and there are days that its causal. But no matter how busy or not so busy, I must say the place is always clean, the coffee is fresh and the staff is professional. Good job guys, keep it up…

I’m a regular at this Starbucks since it’s close to my office. I usually go later in the morning or in the early/late afternoon. Going during the morning from 7:00 to 8:30 will usually means waiting in a long line out the door. They do a pretty good job, but I usually go to other coffee shops in the morning to avoid the lines. If I need Starbucks really late, I go to the 2nd and Central location, which is usually open really late. There is limited metered parking and parking inside Weller Court and the staff are very friendly at this location. I’m definitely coming back!

Pure incompetence. The whole store is filled with lifeless rude idiots. Don’t waste your time. These baristas are far from intelligent. They can not spell nor read. They also need to take a class in basic manners. Worst Starbucks ever.

Ok. so, while my teenager participated at the wolf– bike race in Downtown this weekend, August 15th2015. My sister in law and I walked to the starbucks on 1st and Los Angeles because we wanted something refreshing to drink, like a strawberry lemonade!!! We also asked for free cups of water to take back to our children. Well, after I paid for my strawberry lemonade, I also asked for a free cup of water please. So I was served in a small paper cup, no ice, no lid!!! We, my sister in law and I thought it was a little rude… But then another lady, she was like Asian, asked for a free cup of water, she was served on a clear plastic cup with ice, a lid and a straw!!! We then looked at each other, and felt a little discriminated!!! I then asked for another cup of water, but this time I asked for an iced cup of water, and the young lady making the drinks asked me, if I wanted the same cup, or another cup? I asked for another cup please, and again she got a paper cup, did put ice with water, and almost threw it on the counter, with no lid!!! thanks… I then asked, if I may please have a lid, so then a young man put on a coffee lid on my paper cup of water!!! thank you… Wow, this was very rude!!! And we felt very uncomfortable by this behavior of this worker there, I am gonna make sure I tell my acquaintances about this, and we are not going to this starbucks again, thanks for your discrimination services!!!

This Starbucks is a joke. I stayed at doubletree as I was visiting from San Diego. So I walk in and I’m the only customer in the store. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwhich and the woman took my order with a huge attitude. In addition to the sandwhich, I ordered a $ 5 drink. So therefore, I asked for water for my daughter. She then looks at me as if I asked her for something absolutely impossible and rudely tells me that they are running low on ice. After all the rude service, I was waiting for over 15 minutes and noticed a few people had come in and out so then I walked back up to the register to ask if my sandwhich was ready only to be told it was waiting at the pick up station. Never coming back to this location and don’t recommend others to go here either.

+ Friendly staff + Relatively fast service — Limited indoor seating Not too much to say regarding this specific Starbucks location. They are generally all the same. However, since this location is almost in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, I would expect a larger indoor seating area. All the seats are full for most of the business day. I don’t mind too much since it is a quick walk from my office and I usually head back to work anyway.

Office is moving, so one more try of all my stopping grounds. I think this Starbucks is fantastic when certain staff are present; not so much when they are gone. Today was a good day: staff was friendly AND they had my Jade Mint Green Tea. So I’ll hike it up to a «3» because it CAN be good. Just try to go on the right day.

Same starbucks coffee as any other location. The line can get pretty long, but they are usually very fast. Parking is also pretty bad, but for local business and people who work in the area, it’s in a good location. Close to several city buildings, police, a hotel and jail.

This is a very busy Starbucks but in the morning they try to move the line along by having an employee ask you for your order before you get to the register. I find that the coffee tastes best in the morning probably because they are constantly brewing coffee. The downside is that they’re pretty slow a turning out drinks unless you’re getting brewed coffee. I’m not sure why they took so long to make my iced tea when it wasn’t even that crowded. There were a few employees running back and forth from the back room but only one person making drinks. Regardless, I like coming here because of the convenient location and because there aren’t many other coffee options nearby.

This Starbucks is a very popular location in downtown LA. It’s pretty tight in this location with very little seating inside. If I had to guess I might say it seats a total of 10 people indoors. There’s a shared patio-like area outside if you prefer but again seating is limited. There isn’t a restroom at this location either. Coffee and food is the usual Starbucks quality with the normal waiting area confusion, just more cramped.

Typical and very busy Starbucks in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. I stop here occasionally for their Hibiscus Very Berry Tea to keep me awake in meetings. The waiting area for your drink is the typical confused awkward Starbucks chaos. Nothing too remarkable about this place, other than it being a typical high traffic Starbucks.

This Starbucks was adjacent to the Doubletree Hilton I was staying at for work. The team was always great, attentive, and really nice. I really appreciate the light hearted communication that I observed between all four of the barista’s early in the morning when I visited! It was about 645am each morning I visited, and they all had a great amount of energy. The team got out everyone’s drinks pretty quick. Made for a seamless morning.

Pretty good crew at this Starbucks — they handle quite a few Civic Center workers every morning and the wait is never terribly long. This Starbucks is a little cramped(not much seating indoors and the layout is long and narrow). There is no public restroom here either. Other then those deficiencies, it’s just your average Starbucks. Ideal for the Civic Center(Caltrans, LAPD, City Hall crowd). If you’re in the mood to try some independent coffee shops, Demitasse and Ground Work are just a block or two away(i’d recommend checking them out).

While arriving at Little Tokyo today had the craving for coffee, found this Starbucks just a few feet away from my parking spot and decided to go with a Vanilla Blond Roast and a Chocolate Croissant to share with my date. Place has a few tables inside and a outside patio. Good staff that had our orders in no time. This is one of two Starbucks in the little Tokyo area. Will return next time I’m in the area.

There was the time that I ordered and received a tall, but was charged for a grande… Then there was the time that I tried to order a venti latte, but they told me that it would have to either be iced, or a tall, because they ran out of hot venti cups and grande/venti lids… And then there were the two separate occasions that I watched them forget to make my drinks with soy milk, though I will say to their credit that they catch their mistake before giving it to me(but it prolongs the wait for my drink, and I have to watch them discard the mis-made drink in the trash). And as recently as yesterday, when I asked for a Pike Place and watched them instead pour me a dark(I guess because I was redeeming an empty dark coffee bag and the barista wasn’t paying attention to what I said)… I hate to nitpick, and don’t say anything and just hope for a better visit next time — but it’s getting to the point where it seems like I run into all these random little issues here on a higher than average percentage of my visits at this particular location. Meh(hence the rating). I’m kinda getting tired of it and wish that I could have some reasonable assurance that I can expect to receive the drink I order and/or be charged accordingly. These all happened within the past 6 months, perhaps 2 – 3 visits per month(doing my math to keep my Gold); before this, I usually went to the Starbucks on 2nd/Central instead. After trying this place out, I think I prefer that location to this one. I’m thinking it may be worth going out of my way to visit that one regularly again instead of this one. Oh, and this location is tiny, but it’s nice that there are tables outside.

It’s always frigging busy at this Starbucks! Did I mention always? The thing is — it’s right next to City Hall(all three of them), the main LAPD headquarters, LA Times Building, and a bunch of other important-ish areas. So with that consideration, it’s not too bad. It got dinged one star because no public bathrooms nor a parking lot. So if I wanted to stop by after work, I have to walk there first, then to my car. I can’t just detour from my car. Or if I’m just loitering there — gotta make sure I have a contingency plan for a full bladder. It’s in the same shopping center as Orochon Ramen, Marukai, Curry House, it’s not in the center, but it just outside on the corner of Los Angeles and First. Can’t miss it! Even with the longest line, the staff here is never rude, and they normally can make my drink correctly :) YAY! and if not, they’re always willing to correct the mistake.

I changed my tune on my review(might have been a little harsh), but I have to give them 5 stars for their excellent customer service!!! In a rush, had bags of crap for work w/me & when I came out I spilled my coffee(yes no doubt my responsibility to make sure I was able to carry it) not expecting anything other than to notify the staff there that there was a spill & to have someone clean up before someone falls, they gave me another coffee… I didn’t expect that, I was so embarrassed I just wanted to make sure no one would fall because of my mishap. I remember awhile back while w/my two toddlers, I dropped a scoop of ice cream at the Rite-Aid(Thrifty’s) counter, and of course not only did I get dirty looks from the clerk serving it, but she charged me for the replacement scoop… like I said I wasn’t expecting it, but it makes the customer feel less embarrassed & wanting to come back because of the extended courtesy…
