Unleash your inner artist at the Summer Arts Conservatory at LACHSA!

At the Summer Arts Conservatory, we are proud to offer the most exciting and comprehensive arts training program for youth available! Structured after the arts curriculum utilized at LACHSA, our program features five different departments: theatre, cinematic arts, music, dance and visual arts. Every morning, students will take five different classes in each of the departments while in the afternoons, the students will take focused intensives in a single department! Established in 2013.

The Summer Arts Conservatory is brought to you by the Theatrical Education Group. Committed to the idea that theatrical education should be infomative, engaging and affordable, TEG is dedicated to providing the finest in dramatic instructional programs and services. For over a decade, we have been proud to offer a wide variety of educational tools and programs for theatre instructors and students. From the nearly 1,600 students who’ve attended the Summer Acting Camp to our ground-​breaking field trip Shakespearience which has now been seen by over 70,000 students, we continue to lead as an innovator of original educational services.

This was the second year my son attended the Summer Arts Conservatory.
This year however he wanted to attend both sessions because he loved it so much. The teachers were very attentive and really cared about the students. The program itself is very professionally run and they really enabled the students to explore their creative side. My son is very excited about returning and doing a double session again in 2016!
I applaud the Conservatory and the teachers for making this a highlight of my son’s summer!

My son attended the second three week session of the Summer Arts Conservatory this year. He loved it so much he wants to go back to attend both sessions next year. On our long drive home (on side streets to avoid the rush hour packed highways,) he shared details of each day with great enthusiasm. The program pushed him outside of his comfort zone and he left with more confidence in his capabilities to try new things and express himself; a confidence which has continued since the program ended. He said the kids who attended were people he could relate to: «they aren’t like the kids at school who just want to sit around and gossip and be boring; they all have something they want to do.» He never complained about having to wake up super early during his summer vacation in order to get there in time, and he was sad when it was over. He said the teachers absolutely know what they are doing, and he loved the diversity of kids who came. He made new friends he will continue to keep in touch with, and hopes to see again next summer. The price is pretty great, too. Overall, I was very impressed.

This is our second year at Summer Arts Conservatory, and my daughter loved it all over again! Lots of friends and neighbors attend, so familiar faces. They get a chance to explore many avenues of performance: Cinematic Arts, Theatre, Dance, Visual Arts, Music. The teachers are terrific, shout-​out to Dmytryk, who is apparently everyone’s favorite teacher! Show at the end of each session is terrific and allows the students to share with their parents their experiences and enthusiasm. P. S. Thank you to Madison in the office, you’re awesome.

My daughter attended the first session of the Summer Arts Conservatory and absolutely LOVED it! She had minimal previous experience in the arts, and this experience not only opened her eyes to a myriad of new forms of art, but also fostered her love of dance! She will definitely be returning next year!!!

My daughter just completed the first session of the Summer Arts Conservatory. She had an amazing time. Our conversations in the car after picking her up from the camp were a complete joy. As a parent there is nothing better than knowing your child is having a fun summer. You can drop off at 7:30 and pick up at 5:30. Try to find that timeframe at other camps. The staff was great. She really learned a lot in the three weeks. The last day of camp was a performance by all the kids. It was amazing. The production was so professional and it looked like every kid was shown.
I can’t say enough about this camp. I highly recommend it. We’ll be back next year.
