I’ll definitely be back, but won’t be getting a gel Manicure. The polish started peeling off just 6 days after I got my mani.

After a crazy day today I was looking forward to my spa day with my family, my sister, daughter and niece had our first experience at this spa. It was a good/​bad experience. My nail technician was Kim, she was extremely sweet and kind. Kim asked me my name and while she was giving me an pedicure she was getting to know me. I loved this because normally I would get my nails done, the nail technician would be socializing with each other and not the customer. I was offered a nice beverage and was truly treated like the Queen I am. The downfall was, the day before we booked the appointments, we were told they were closed at 9pm. So my sister and I booked facials, medi/​pedi. Once my sister was done with her facial which took an hour, the technicians were ready to leave once the clock struck 6pm. When she addressed this issue to the receptionist, they did apologize and accommodate her by having the technicians do her medi/​pedi. after hours. I was too tired to do my facial so I decided to rescheduled but my niece never received her medi. due to a misunderstanding between my sister and the receptionist. So my final thought… The experience was great, except for the minor hiccup but it was fixed and corrected. I would recommend this spa and I will be back for my facial!

Hands down, this is the most beautiful place to indulge in self care!!! My whole family enjoyed our visit to Summit Nail Bar. My little girl and I loved our treatments, while admiring the ridiculously gorgeous chandelier and ultra feminine décor… — while my husband and son enjoyed their treatments on the «man» side of the nail bar (equipped with televisions, remote controls, and darker masculine décor). So glad to have a wonderful multi-​cultural business in my LA neighborhood.

The ambiance is definitely worth five stars. It’s great that they have a male and female side. Since I was with my boyfriend we were on the male side. Service was decent, they offered us water and Coke. But I can’t give this place more than 3 stars because it shouldn’t take 2 ½ hrs for a mani and pedi. I even opted out of a gel manicure thinking it would save me time BUT NO. :-/​They can be a lot more efficient and not have their employees bicker back and forth about who doing what.

For a place that prides itself on luxury, I expected a better experience.
I was excited to try this place out. A friend had gone a couple of weeks back and she raved about it! Not to mention that I live literally around the corner! I was ecstatic.
So since I got off work earlier than expected I called to make an appointment for today. The girl on the phone seemed pleasant and made me an appointment for 4:30pm. At 4:20pm I get a phone call asking if I was still coming to my appointment (as if I were late). I explained to the girl that I had just pulled up and she sounded less than enthused. I brushed it off and went into the building happy because I was about to get (what I thought) was the best nail experience of my life.
The place was gorgeous. Very chic, very feminine. I loved it. There was a group of people at the front and one of the girls pointed to a girl who was walking away and said you have to follow her.
A bit weird, since most high-​end places that I’ve been escort you to your seat. The girl pointed to a seat as she was setting up the bowl for my pedicure. I took off my shoes and sat there awkwardly as she filled the bowl. She tells me to put my feet on the bowl so that she can push my seat up closer to the bowl, because I am kind of short.
So the girl looks so agitated like she just doesn’t want to be there. I am trying to spark conversation with her and she is only giving me one word answers. She doesn’t offer me anything to drink, she barely looks at me.
After a few attempts of me trying to spark conversation I just give up. I spend the next hour and some change in uncomfortable silence. It was very uncomfortable. I felt completely unwanted. The only time the girl spoke to me was to tell me to switch hands or take my feet out the bowl.
I literally watched them ask everyone else in the salon (mind you there were about 3 patrons including me) if they wanted something to drink, and not me. Wasn’t this one of the highlights of the place? And why was I not worthy to be treated like everyone else? I guess I had to be a regular or a celebrity to get any attention in this place.
Mani/​Pedi were ok. I got a regular manicure even though I had made a reservation for a gel manicure. Thanks for not asking. She cut my fingernails without asking, and my feet still feel like I didn’t have a pedicure. She did polish it nice, I’ll give her that.
At the end she gave no direction. Should I sit there? Was there a dryer? I figured I would just sit there until there was direction. She then looks at me and says «Oh what was your name?». I told her my name and she walked away to the front. Then she came back after a few minutes and said that I could go up front when I was ready. She didn’t check to see if my nails were dry. She didn’t help me with my stuff. She didn’t even help me off the pedestal that I was sitting.
I walked to the front and the girl hands me a ticket and tells me what to pay. No «how was your visit», no «did you like it», nothing! And I was waiting for it because I wanted to tell her how uncomfortable and upsetting of an experience I had. She took my card and i told her that this was not what I had expected. She said «oh» and asked if I wanted to tip. She could care less and it showed.
I gave the girl a tip ONLY because it is proper protocol. I asked the girl if she was one of the owners and she said no it was a guy. Honestly I don’t even remember her saying thank you!
I am BIG on customer service and I did not receive even a smidgen of good customer service. ok maybe a smidgen, the girl was nice when I called and the place is pretty.
My suggestion if you want good service, you may need to beef up your celebrity card first before you enter, then maybe you’ll be offered a glass of wine, or water, or better yet, service with a smile.

Two stars because the décor is cute. Although, there was a strong chemical odor upon entry.
I’m not a fan of these nail salons that don’t accommodate customers without appointments. I’m always on the go and if I break a nail or need a change at the last minute, then I appreciate establishments that allow me to do that on the fly. The front desk girl didn’t offer a wait time but instead said I would have to make an appointment another day. Blah. Try Patsy Nails up the street or Cck on Sepulveda instead.

Very professional and great customer service. Nail bar was decorated beautifully and clean. My manicurist was gentle and thoroughly explained everything. Tools were sterilized and new. I felt very relaxed. Not hurried.

Mi like evrathing, it’s beautiful, it’s gorgeous, it’s a fancy woman side n a boss man cave side, I luv it. Customer service is wonderful, evraone friendly n nice, mi boi Keon hooked mi nails up, he use only top quality products, syuraski crystals, n his pricing is fair. Ya get wat u pay for u, u want the best, he goinna give it to u… This that boss life, must make appointments!!!
The only thing I wish they had was more people at doin pedicures, as woman we on our feet all day, as in we n heels on our feet all day n just wanna. Get a quick pamper to our feet to feel refreshed, to me that’s a spur of the moment thing. N I would luv to b able to go sit sumwere fly like here n get mi feet done walk in.
Outside that I mf Luv it!!!

Nothing else needs to be said! But I’ll say it. I’ve never enjoyed a nail shop visit the way I enjoyed mines today. Beverly Hills has been deliverT to the Baldwin Hills/​Inglewood area!
Keon took care of me. Such a sweetheart! He knows NAILS! Gentle, patient, and NEAT! Fun to talk to, felt like I’ve known him for years!
Kim did my feet. Gentle, thorough and neat!
Also met Gail and Kevin the owners. Sweet as pie and take pride in their business.
Anna, Carissa, and another young lady that worked there. Made us laugh and just really enjoyed their company!
The interior, the ambiance, the people, the music, the service, 5 Stars!
My nails came out ridiculously amazing! My feet feel like butter. I was there for 3 hours with my mom and it was OK! They’ll serve you a drink, the R&B is playing. The ghetto ratchet behavior will NOT be found here.
It’s pricey. But worth it. When you go here, you’ll understand why, and you’ll either step your nail game requirements up, or you won’t. Being 30 years old, this is where I want to be, where I need to be! To not feel rushed, pressured to buy extra services, and everyone speaks ENGLISH! Mixed ethnicities and they know their stuff! It was truly a breath of fresh air and I am a fan! #thankmelater

Coming from the inside perspective, there is a lot of things that needs to be fixed starting from the manager Gail (not really the owner). Customer service is number one key to a successful business. Other comments written by others explain for itself. Clients, who bring the business, shouldn’t be treated badly. If you are a celebrity, or know of one, or make a lot of money, yes you will get VIP service. Free alcohol but only for selective people.
My experience was very horrible. Disinfection is not being probably done. Likelihood of fungus infection are high. Many other things that can be fined by state board.
On the other hand, the technicians were all very professional. Management just needs to bring up their game.

I don’t write many reviews, however, I am compelled to write about my experience here. My friend booked an appointment for the both of us, and she arrived almost an hour before me, only to have to wait about 45 minutes for her service because celebrity Mel B was running late for hers (she got lost on the way). By the time I arrived, they were just beginning my friend. I’m totally okay with accommodation, however, celebrities can go anywhere and get complimentary services. The people who are in the neighborhood will come back and become repeat customers — how you treat them is key to continued, sustainable growth of any new business.
I am new to the fact that water is becoming less trendy for patrons to soak their hands in pre-​manicure, but the next day, my fingers were abnormally burning and dry on my fingers, and my skin was gone off of my pointer finger. My finger then begin to bubble when I put peroxide on it, and became severely inflamed. Two days later my friend went to get her polish updated (or stones replaced that had already come off), and I sent her pictures of my fingers so she could show the owner. The owner was insistent that it was of no fault of the salon, but told me to come up there so they could see. When I arrived, the warmness I felt on initial contact was gone, and I felt compelled to reassure them that I was not looking to sue them; I just wanted to know what happened to my finger.
Without pointing any fingers, I patiently tried to make sense of the fact that my finger was clearly infected, and I felt the owner spent more time justifying how high-​end her products were. After much discussion, it was told to me that I was allergic to the Blue Cross cuticle remover they put on my nails. Gail told me that my skin must be really sensitive, and I advised her that my skin isn’t abnormally sensitive, but maybe she should ask others in the future is they preferred the cuticle remover over having their hands sit in water. I would have chosen the latter and paid to come back and get my polish redone to avoid the pain, and most of all embarrassment of having a finger that basically had no skin on it. I couldn’t enjoy the $ 50.00 treatment because I spent most of last week finding ways to hide my finger from others’ view.
The nail technician was apologetic, and they even offered me a free oil treatment and paraffin dip. Their reason behind not using water when giving a manicure was that it makes the nail polish come off faster, but the nail polish was chipping by Thursday of last week like any other polish, and I’m not rough nor do I excessively wash my hands.
The male technician told me I should soak my hands in baking soda and warm water, which did work. I left, and immediately took another trip to the ER where the doctor verified I had an infection that I’ve now been treating a week today. I sincerely hope that they become used to constructive criticism, or, their business won’t be profitable. I won’t be going back for the paraffin or the oil treatment since I have paraffin and oil at my own house. Great atmosphere — wish I wouldn’t have gotten burned so bad.

Let me start off by saying that the ambiance and nail techs are top of the line. They are one of the cleanliest nail shops i’ve ever seen. The staff not only thoroughly cleans the bowls, but they also set a timer for the disinfectant. They are all personable, sweet and well trained. You actually feel like a person and not a dollar sign. At the same time they have some wrinkles they need to iron out, but what new business doesn’t. I’m hoping that with a little more time under their belt and more staff on hand they will be a shining star.
I’m hoping to make this place my new home.

Gail, is one of the owners and she was very accomodating. My friend and I did not have appointments and considering they are low on staff I was appreciative. We are visiting within three weeks of their grand opening.
The décor is magnificent. A grand chandelier greets you from the door, all-​white interior. High pink walls, very luxurious feel.
The staff could stand to be a bit more upscale. But surely they’ll get there.
I love the polish selection, individual white leather thrones, and a MEN’S section. Very chic and novel.
At this moment there isn’t enough staff and I highly recommend an appoinment.
Clarissa is great. She did a good job, highly personable… ask for her! She gives descriptions of all of the services, products, and holistically ask about your health in relation to your nails…

Most luxurious mani/​pedi ever! This place is absolutely adorable and such a fun place for a girls date! Absolutely coming back and feel like I found a hidden gem.

FINALLY a quality nail salon in the neighborhood. Ladies and Gents, no need to travel north of Pico for a mani and pedi. Summit Nails is everything you see in the pictures and more. I will definitely be a regular.

I’m just going to be honest.
The place is beautiful. VERY «upscale».
The service doesn’t exactly match the décor.
I mean everyone is polite and takes their time, but the prices are to high for the amount of time you spend and the quality. I know they are just opening, but they need more staff. And to be consistent. Good luck and again you did a wonderful job on the décor. You are truly paying for the ambiance.

Awesome service. Awesome vibes. Came here with my mom to celebrate my birthday. I came before the opening, but its already an awesome set up.

I went in to get a pedi this morning and as soon as i walked in, i loved the salon already! Besides the fact that the salon is beautiful, the receptionist greeted me with a big smile and gave me the choice to pick from a snickers cupcake and a butterfinger cupcake. She then gave me a quick tour, I was excited and i couldnt wait to get my pedi started. Once i got attented, it didnt take long for me to know that it was gonna be a great experience. My technician was very nice and gentle with me. She was very attentive and made sure i was happy with my service. I really loved the whole experience! Im so happy because now I found my dream nail salon.

One word… AMAZING!!! I couldn’t be happier!!! I had been going to the same place in South Orange County for the last 10 years and since coming to LA have been desperately trying to find a new nail salon. I have gone to about 10 places in the area that have had great Unilocal reviews and have been disappointed by all. I am so happy that I found Summit Nail Bar. I had a pedicure and gel manicure by Neisha and both were superb. The salon is not only beautiful, clean and brand new but their quality and service is impeccable. And to top it off they have a separate side for men as well. I truly felt like a pampered princess. I have finally found a place for my nails to call home. Thank you Summit Nail Bar.
