Sunset & Vine

I was on the market for a new apartment and decided to give sunset and vine a try. The lady who toured me I think she’s the assistant manager was really helpful. She knew everything about the building and answered all of my questions. She was pleasant and professional and very patient with me when i wanted to see different units. I do like the location and the building was clean and pretty. My husband and I are still deciding on where to go but I just wanted to say what a great experience it was meeting her. She even called us the next day and emailed us to find out if we made a decision.

The location is great! Apartments are nice BUT something is ALWAYS broken around this place such as the ELEVATORS (I’ve been living here for a about a year and EVERY OTHER DAY they are out of order) The resident GARAGE gate is ALWAYS BROKEN where you’ll need to exit out the main gate where it will get backed up or they won’t put out a sign that it’s out of order and if you are familiar with the area the back alley is a «one way» street so you’ll end up having to drive around the whole block to get back in. Also the door downstairs in the parking lot is constantly being broken so anybody could just enter the property. Basically somethings always broken and they take forever fixing it. Pretty ridiculous.

Just moved in and I’m already regretting it big time, everything here is falling apart and the management really doesn’t seem to care whatsoever, I told them that there’s a large stain in my room that smells like pee and they said I accepted the apartment in the condition it was in when I signed the lease and told me to hire a steam cleaner

I didn’t even get past the phone call to schedule a tour because the agents were so rude. I asked for pricing and he scoffed and giggled when mentioning $ 2K as if I couldn’t afford it but I guess he was on a high horse from his hourly wage and discounted rent. Glad I did not waste my time because these terrible photos more than likely show the true side of this place!

I recently toured this complex and I was so impressed with Solomon, the concierge. He was genuinely interested in helping me, and he knew everything there was to know about the property.

DONT MOVE TO SUNSET AND VINE, CHEAP & AGENTS LIE
This place has a great location, however the apartments are made cheap! The first day we moved in our carpet cut my foot, my daughters foot and my husband’s. We all had to go to the hospital and get tetanus shots from the nails sticking out. It took them three weeks to fix, and we tried to get out of our contract after one day and was told that was impossible.
The same day we moved in our floors were ripping up, the was were painted with flat paint so you couldn’t touch the walls. The cabinets were falling apart. And we were told the whole apartment was new!
Sunset and vine agents lie, they tell you what they want to hear. In order to get maintenance it takes up to two weeks. There is no direct number to there location your have to call corporate and it takes weeks. My sink in the kitchen was over flowing and my 4 year old daughter was sacred I had to call 10 times in order to get someone over to fix it. My whole kitchen was flooded for five hours my daughter and I had to hide in our bathroom for that whole time. The agents lie, the apartments are made cheap and their maintenance is ridiculous. DON’T MOVE TO SUNSET AND VINE???
I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE NO STARS IF THAT WAS POSSIBLE???

Hollywood living doesn’t get better than Sunset and Vine, my experience with this property has been nothing short of fantastic and the new property manager Alanna is an absolute pleasure to work with!!!

Sunset and Vine is an amazing building! With an amazing location and great helpful staff throughout this building makes everything more convenient. Great area to walk around in and great businesses to utilize downstairs. The office really makes sure the building is kept safe and secure. Definitely check out Sunset and Vine apartments if you love convenience and amazing amenities all at the palm of your hand.

The Leasing agents are totally unprofessional & inept for problems concerning tennent units on repairs such as pipes, and appliiances,
the place is loud, dirty, and break in’s are frequent, even though they have security, robberies happen often thru the back entrances.
The Police are there often., not a place to be paying top dollar, half the time the gym and pool are broken and takes eternity to repair.

Sunset + Vine is an outstanding apartment complex, with many unique floor plans and tons of storage in the apartments. The office staff (Lisa) is very helpful, the Security staff and the best in the business. They deal with nuts like mw all of the time and they take it all in stride. The floor plans are some of the most unusual I have seen. The pool, the exercise room, the steam, the dry sauna is beautiful, convenience to the Arclight, Trader Joe’s next door and a Walgreen’s in building makes this the perfect spot for all types of people with a range of interests?

Been living here almost 3 years. Such a convenient place to live the area is booming and so many things in walking distance I barely have to drive anywhere. The units are modern, spacious with huge walk in closets. I have concrete floors and my ceilings are 25 ft. The amenities are great like any high end building but the fact that walgreens is downstairs and trader joes across the st makes life so easy. I also do yoga downstairs and eat at Kabuki a few times a month. Parking is validated for friends for a few hours and there’s ample guest parking. The community is fun and the staff are friendly, accommodating and always helpful. The place is 100% secure with security available ²⁴⁄₇. All in all I think sunset and vine are above the others simply it’s just a better place to live. I’d take it over any of the other high end building in the area. I’ll probably live here for another several years..

These apartments are cool. They have a social, fun and energetic atmosphere. Lots of amenities are available to use. There is a gym, pool, hot tub, steam room, dog park, and bbq area. Not to mention lots of lounge chairs to just sit with friends and socialize. It is pleasant to live in this area because it is not far from many nice locations. The street views are really nice. Rent is somewhat pricey. These apartments are very pet friendly, though.

Very rude management. I live here & security tried to kick me out for «loitering» around the outside balcony. I told him I lived here & he just laughed. I’m also spent nearly $ 200 to have a package delivered, but the person at the front desk refused it because he was too lazy to move it into the mail room as they are supposed to do… I now have to pay another $ 200 and have it shipped to my work address.
Also, the elevator has been broken for months now, and you can’t enter the residences from the stairs, so enjoy your morning commute walking up the parking garage in circles until you reach your floor!

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Steer clear of this place!
I don’t even know where to start. This is supposed to be a smoke free building, yet people smoke everywhere, even in the pool! It is disgusting. The pool is ALWAYS dirty. In the 10 months I have been living here, paying for these amenities, I would never use it. It smells like marijuana EVERYWHERE! I have reported this many times and all management has told me is that they can’t knock on people’s door.
The management here DOES NOT CARE about the residents. They are smug and unfriendly. They act like I am bothering them every time I have a question or concern.
The business center is ALWAYS out of paper! How hard is it to restock paper? Especially when they use it as a selling point to potential tenants. Again, paying for amenities that you can’t utilize.
The fire alarm in the entire complex goes off at least once a month, and typically happens in the middle of the night. This continues multiple times in one evening. They claim they have no idea who pulls it. What if there was a real emergency? No one would know!
Also, the gate where the residents park has broken several times in my 10 months here. The last time, they left it broken for weeks and several cars were broken into. That to me is scary, to fear parking in your own garage.
There is nothing positive I can say about this place, except that the maintenance team is friendly. They always come and fix things in a timely manner. I have to add that they fix things that should not have been broken in the first place.
When it came time to renew my lease, they wanted to raise my rent $ 300 a month! They must be insane.
Well what a surprise, there goes that fire alarm again…

Horrible.
I lived in this building for three years and saw it go through numerous management, each time the vibe of the building and management actions changed dramatically.
I will say however my last year in the building was the worst .
It turned into complete party central (Hey if that’s your thing then Ill recommend you go take a look).
Our apartment over looked the pool area so we were bombarded daily with loud music and screaming idiots, pot smoke constantly wafting up from the pool area. Guys would realise we were three girls living in our place so drunkin twits knocking on our door at random hours happened more than once.
Dog crap was everywhere and even urine and blood through the elevators on more than one occasion.
I’ve seen security doors smashed out and covered with cardboard, the hot tub lined with security tape for the longest time.
Apartments over flowing with people (4 – 5 to a one/​two bedroom apartment).
I at one point had a safety issue I brought up with the office and all I got was a smile and a shrug ”Sorry we can’t help you”, really???
Once our lease was up we were more than relieved to be out of there, since moved to the Pinnacle by Runyon and it was the best decision ever.
Ill never set foot near this building ever again.

AVOID THIS PLACE, DO NOT BE TRICKED BY THE INITIAL APPEAL!
Been living here for a few months now and all I have received from the management staff are fake smiles and promises.
If you have money, a lawyer or know someone that manages the place, you are probably fine to blast music, make music or have parties until 3am during the week days.
But if you are an average couple who doesn’t have some sort of Hollywood status, you will receive many noise violations from simply watching a movie or playing music while cleaning on a saturday morning.
This place is pretentious and was simply placed here for actors and musicians who just received their first check and want somewhere hip to live until they as well, realize the place is as high turnover as a telemarketer going door to door.
Find somewhere better, I promise it will be easy! I cannot wait until my lease is up, luckily it was only a 10 month lease, a blessing in disguise.

If you enjoy the nightlife and want to live the trendy Hollywood lifestyle this is the place for you! I had a two bedroom apartment here a few years ago. For the quality of the place, modern feel and fixtures, you couldn’t beat the price in that specific area. Yes the people who live in this complex are a noisy and rowdy bunch. But that is what other noisy and rowdy people are looking for!
The residents are mostly very friendly, and there is always multiple big pre-​parties and after parties going on in the complex. The front desk is wonderful and keep the place on lockdown from strangers they don’t recognize (it made me feel more secure especially knowing all the hooligans that are out there, and they also hold you packages for you in a safe place so no lost mail! The pool is lovely, the gym is a great size and well maintained, and my only complaint is the layout is a bit confusing. there are two different sides to the complex, the sunset side and the vine side. They are only connected on one floor (the courtyard/​pool floor so it can be very easy to get lost in there! I stumbled around aimlessly a few nights trying to figure out how to get from a friends house in one apartment back to mine. (Probably didn’t help that I had a few before I got lost)
I eventually moved out because my lifestyle changed to a much more modest and quiet one. I woudln’t ever want to move back (I’m getting old lol) but if you are a 20 something or even a rambunctious 30 something looking for a nice modern place to stumble back to after going clubbing and to bring friends/​ (more than friends ;) back to you, this is the place for you!

They treat the residents with respect only if you don’t «bother» them with anything. The second you ask something to be done they talk to you as if you’re the problem.

The rules and standards are enforced on a resident to resident basis.
Save your money. Don’t live here.

My girlfriend and her hubby used to live here years ago and then had this insane idea that they wanted to leave LA, but low and behold they’ve come to their senses and they’re back!!!
It doesn’t hurt that we work right across the street — can you say lunch time work outs, hot tub dippin, and layin’ by the pool!!! :) because that is totally what’s about to start going down :) so if you too work or live in the area — I guess you can let us know which of our bikinis ya’ll like best since the pool is pretty visible from all angles.
The gyms equipment does need to be updated but it’s also really nice to have the option of not hitting the crowded 24 hour fitness across the street and having a smaller more private gym (with a sauna) to ourselves, when no one else is in there.
It sort of blows they have to pay $ 100 a month on top of the already pricey rent for parking but she’s back and close and everyone loves a good dip in the pool so I’m a happy girl!

My boyfriend and I moved here from NYC and this is our 1^st apt together. We love it here. The leasing office is great, the pool, hot tub, and gym are great as well. We are always excited when the leasing office plans different events in the building; they are always filled with food, raffles, and great prizes.
We’ve lived here for about a year now and have no complaints. Our apt is so spacious and the view is sick (we wake up to the sun rising in the east and we see a mountain in the distance, with snow at its peak: D)!!
