Kevin is an honest mechanic and really knows his stuff. The work is excellent under the hood and body work as well. I am very grateful to have super auto repair as my auto shop as I drive a lot in Los Angeles.

I won’t take my car anywhere else and I have referred several friends and family members to Kevin and all of them are satisfied repeat customers. Kevin is the most honest mechanic I have ever met and he has literally saved me thousands of dollars over the years. Car maintenance can be a drag for someone like me, but when you can trust that your mechanic has your best interests in mind you don’t mind taking your car in for regular service.

While the name of this place is kinda dumb, you still get great service and at such a low price. $ 300 out-​the-​door for a new alternator, belts, and labor charge. Absolute bargain!!! They were even waiting for me to arrive on the tow truck before they immediately started working on it. I’v found my Los Angeles car repair shop… and it’s here at SUPER auto repair!

Something in the front of my car was making a noise and I wanted to get it checked out. I thought it might have to do with the brake system or suspension, but always good to get a second opinion.
Called in to see if they had availability to do a check up on my car and they said to come on in, free of charge for a check up. I don’t live too far from this shop so I drove in and they said I could leave my car at the shop for them to do the check up since it might take some time to find the issue. That works for me!
I asked my roommate to pick me up and it takes her about 10 minutes to arrive and we make it home in about another 10 mins. Not more than 10 minutes after I got home, I received a call from the shop saying I might have issues with my struts and maybe suspension and also maybe the brake system.
Well, that was a waste of me going back home. Why did they say it would take a while to diagnose the issue when I could have just waited 20 minutes for them to check out my car.
Came back to pick up the car and they gave me the estimate of how much it would cost for the repairs. Since I was already somewhat disappointed that they wasted my time, I wanted to go to another shop to get another opinion.
Once they noticed I didn’t want to get the repairs, they said there was a mandatory $ 45 service charge for the diagnoses. Really… now they tell me. No where before all this did they mention it and I even asked on the phone if the initial diagnoses was free. I hate places that go back on their words. They refused to give me my keys until I paid and since I had enough of this situation and didn’t want to get to cops involved, I ended just paying and leaving.
Lesson learned: Double check when you get into the shop if what they said on the phone still applies.

Best car mechanic shop I’ve ever been to. Fast, affordable and always a quality job. Kevin is a very helpful guy who will gladly take care of you and make sure you’re getting the lowest price/​quality service. No hassle that typically comes with car mechanics.
I just moved to LA and tried out Super Auto based on Unilocal reviews and was very satisfied. My car had multiple issues pop up over one week and Kevin took care of them all at a low price. I even had one issue diagnosed by Culver City Honda that they estimated at $ 600, Kevin cut that price in half.
Kevin also fixed a faulty hood latch that no other mechanic could figure out. Would’ve cost my a lot to fix/​replace at a dealership.
Could not ask for a better mechanic in LA. Will always be bringing my business to Kevin and the shop. Highly recommended.

Have a vw jetta 2002, had the timing belt changed and water pump. Was about 400 dollars cheaper then anywhere else. Frank is funny and very helpful. Will differently come back. If you need good work at a far price come here!

I just happened to drive by this place on my way home one day and decided to stop in and see how much they would charge to replace the wing mirror on my passenger side. Kevin quoted the lowest price — and gave me the option of leaving it black (unpainted — the cheapest option) or having it color matched to my car. My car is dark grey so you can’t really tell the mirror isn’t painted to match my car, so I decided to leave it black for now.
I eventually need to have my bumper fixed (no money in the budget for that right now) and Kevin said he can give me a really good deal to paint the wing mirror when I’m ready to fix the bumper since they’ll need to match the paint anyway.
I returned to him again a couple of weeks ago when Culver City Toyota quoted me $ 855 to replace two sensors on my 2007 RAV4. Kevin quoted several hundred less, using genuine Toyota parts. When I told Toyota I was taking my car elsewhere, they said they would match Kevin’s price. My car was already there so I decided to go ahead and let Toyota do it.
As I was driving off away from the dealership, after they replaced the 2 sensors, I heard a loud hissing sound coming from my brakes and 3 of my dashboard lights came on about a mile down the road. I brought my car back to Toyota and they said I needed a break booster — the cost was over $ 1k! I called Kevin and he came in at almost half that price. I promptly had my car towed over to Kevin even though the dealer pleaded with me to allow them to fix it and offered to reduce their price down to $ 650 (still not as low as Kevin) and throw in a free rental car.
Kevin had my car ready the next day! And he replaced my driver side lighted visor/​mirror for less than half of what the dealership tried to charge me.
Kevin is one of the honest mechanics out there. I will not be taking my car to the dealership anymore. Kevin will be my first stop from now on.

Love them! Our lifesaver. Although a bit unorthodox but helpful! Our car was dying while on the freeway and we just happen to pull off nearby. They were soooo nice to us. This place is so honest! We thought we might be easy prey but they charge very reasonable.

Fair prices and very honest. They didn’t take advantage of my lack of knowledge and did just what was needed to get me safely back on the road. I can’t say enough good things about Kevin (the owner). Great and friendly service! Highly recommend!!!

By far the lowest estimate of 4 that I obtained. Over $ 450 lower than the rest. The work was done quickly and the bumper looked as good as new. They do great work. Highly recommend!

I just got my car back 1 week ago. I noticed when I picked it up the car was very rough like a Brillo pad or a sand blasting… given the fact I had it detailed and machine buffed I was really surprised… the area that was repaired was smooth as can be. Mind you it a convertible… I said to Kevin why is the rest of the car so rough? He just gave me a wise crack answer.
Come to find out the CAR was not covered during the repair and because of that there was a over spray on the entire car and windshield… it basically screwed up the entire paint job. Thank you KEVIN. This is how you treat a repeat customer…
By the way why would you only buff ¼ of the car to begin with? Now my paint is screwed up and Now I have to pay someone else to fix…

The older gentleman at shop greeted me as I parked. I asked how much for an oil change, safety inspection and was quoted less than half as other shops.
He did the work within 30 minutes and charged me exactly what he quoted.
He noticed the car had been parked under a tree and adviced me to keep paint finish clean or paint would be damaged.
What I didn’t tell him is that I was visiting and it was my college daughters vehicle.
And i’ve spent over 20 years supervising the mechanical police maintenance garage with over 125 police vehicles. For a city up in Northern Ca.
I will be having my college kids bring back their vehicles for preventive maintenance or body work repairs.

I love this place. My front bumper had a dent and Kevin quoted HALF of what other shops estimated. The work was finished by the time he promised and I was so pleased when I picked up my car! It looked brand-​new. I recommend their services to everyone.

My roommate drove my car, a Lexus RX400H, into a pole in our garage creating a huge dent in the right back door. It was pretty badly damaged. I took my car to 5 different places to assess the damage. The first one wanted to replace the door at $ 2300. The next few were $ 1700, $ 1800, and $ 2100. A friend born and raised in LA finally told me about Kevin and Super Auto, said he’s been going to them for years. So I gave it a shot. Kevin quoted me $ 1200 and had the fasted turn around rate.
Dropped my car off, and it was back to me within 5 days looking brand new.
Great work! Definitely not a sales man because he is pretty brief and to the point, i.e. maybe not the friendliest. But he will give you great service with a very fair quote.
I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR CAR HERE TO HAVE BODY WORK DONE.

TRULY one of the best experiences i’ve had at an auto repair shop…
i knew my car was due for a BIG repair… having been ripped off many times before in the past… i did my research…2 timing belts and water pump… nothing more nothing less… i called about 10+ auto shops and was quoted as high as $ 1200! (this…is pretty much the market value of my car…)…other places tried to upsell… telling me they really cant give me a quote without running a diagnostic… and wouldn’t give me a straight answer despite my insistence that the 2 timing belts and water pump was all i needed…
kevin, the owner of super auto repair, was one of the few places that saved that nonsense… he quoted me at literally HALF of the other places (using all original parts)…and had my car ready the very next day… he even stayed open 40 extra minutes so i can pick up my car in time!
lowest rates around (at least for the timing belt/​water pump)…seriously save urself the effort… and exceptional EXCEPTIONAL customer service from kevin… A +++++

I’ve brought my car into Super Auto Repair twice, and I’ve been so happy both times. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. My car is always in and out in no time!

There is truly no reason to go to any other car repair business in Los Angeles. Kevin and his team do amazing work at a price that can’t be beaten, with a kindness, speed and flexibility which is rare in any business, but especially auto repair. Over the decade I’ve been going here, they’ve made so many «above and beyond» efforts on my behalf it borders on the ridiculous. :)
