Superior Multi-Specialty West LA Urgent Care

DONT go here! They won’t accept your insurance because «they don’t want to risk it». The doctor barely listens to you and then a nurse asks you what procedure you want to do!!!(??) How in hell should I know what’s appropriate to do? I’m not a doctor. The nurse told me that I could pick without any advice what so ever.
I payed 120 $ for seeing a doctor without getting a diagnosed or anything. I’ll go to Hollywood walk in clinic from now on (so should you).
Don’t go here seriously. They aren’t equipped, they have no knowledge and they won’t accept your insurance because it is «too risky» it’s insane. They were fighting with my insurance all morning. Clownshow!!! I’m already sick, I don’t need to deal with that kind of rudeness. Never again!

Great staff, as a busy medical office you will wait a few minutes even with an appointment but that’s ALL medical offices. This place has a warm welcoming environment and get you to feel better, end of story!

My husband and I were visiting Venice from New York City when he got sick. Weak, dizzy, unable to walk properly. Really scary stuff. I checked my phone for the nearest urgent care and found this one, a mile or two down Venice Blvd. From the moment we walked in, I knew I could relax. We were in good hands. My husband was seen right away. Dr. Johnson was calm, professional and personable. He quickly diagnosed severe dehydration. He also noted a respiratory infection. I am not kidding when I tell you we were in and out of there in less than an hour, on the way to the pharmacy. By that night, my husband felt well enough to meet friends for dinner!
If not for Dr. Johnson and his competent staff at West L.A. Urgent Care, we would have spent HOURS of our vacation in the E. R…if not overnight! This is exactly what an urgent care center is for. We were completely happy with our experience.

All the doctors and the staff are wonderful and very caring. My wife had such struggle with her thyroid issues and because of the services we have received she has now had her thyroid removed and feels so much better. Her surgeon was wonderful and it was thanks to this clinic that she was able to get all the insurance chaos handled. Vero and the staff have all been awesome. Every single time i’ve needed help i have received the proper most caring attention, the over all wellness care and preventative services have all been provided to me in a timely fashion. I feel bad for all the victims out there who are getting bad health care services. W. LA Urgent Care should be a model for all health care providers. Thank you Vero, Dr. T. also special thanks to Dr. Johnson for catching my wife’s sucky Thyroid in time ! She has had her Thyroid removed and is now well into her recovery. Honestly awesome and grateful. Way to end the year.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. This is a terrible place. Do NOT go. The doctor dropped me as a patient without notice. I found out I was dropped when I needed prescription. Unbelievable. Just when you think this place can’t get worse, it does. Read my previous reviews of this place and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Do NOT believe any of the 5 star reviews. They used to have a deal: 5% off your visit in exchange for a 5 star review. Don’t believe any of those reviews; they only wrote it to get the 5% discount.

If you go in with pain expect to be treated like a junkie.
They also do not cover pain management with any insurance as they want you to pay 150 cash.
This was a big scam in Las Vegas and it’s good to see here in LA.

I cant begin to tell you how Awesome Westside Urgent Care is!!! As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by one of the girls at the front desk (Lupe, Ana and Debbie). They are so kind and professional! They will help you with whatever you need and make you feel so comfortable. Veronica is wonderful too! If you’re getting blood work done, she is the person to go to. You won’t feel a thing. I’ve seen 3 Doctors there and every one of them are amazing! They take time with you and make sure you are completely taken care of. After experiencing West LA Urgent Care, I will never go anywhere else. They are truley the best and you will always leave with a smile on your face!

My health plan changed so I had to choose another doctor. I chose this office because it was close to my house. I made an appointment for my yearly physical which consisted of a questionnaire about sleep apnea, taking my blood pressure, temperature, weight and then? «Oh, you want to have your lab work done today?»
Um, yes, I made an appointment for my yearly physical. I’m not concerned about my weight, blood pressure, a sleep apnea study and I do not have a fever. My time is valuable as is yours.
The Physicians Assistant was truly wonderful and I would have felt comfortable in her care. In my 2 visits I never met the doctor. But the staff at the front desk… one woman in particular… this is why this is a one star review and not more. It would be zero stars if that were an option.
I found another Dr’s office, it is farther away but worth it.

I cannot be grateful enough for the wonderful staff and doctors here. I’ve been here twice already, both times without an appointment because I suddenly had to leave work due to my illnesses.
They made me feel so cared for as if we were friends. Though I was crying and in pain walking into Urgent Care, with no insurance and no appointment, they helped me in every step of the way. From getting me water to take my medication, to providing me a gatorade when I was dehydrated (during the second visit), they were ALL so wonderfully caring.
The doctors were also very informative and honest. Both that I was sent with had been very kind and explained every detail I needed to know. Answered every question and then some. I couldn’t be happier with my experiences.

Dr. Ehsan and all of the wonderful staff here are amazing. I’ve Had a ton of medical issues lately and Dr. Ehsan has been so helpful and attentive.

Phenomenal care. I got an appointment within the week and knocked out all the major issues I had. Very friendly staff who made me feel I was their #1 priority during my appointment.

Everyone here is so nice and really seem to care about my health. They go out of their way to be nice, even when I’m at the doctor feeling terrible. I would definitely recommend this office to others. In fact, I already have.

These guys are scam artists! Having said that, I believe the doctor is genuine. He was extremely helpful, and did a good job of reminding me that all of his suggestions would cost me as I do not have insurance yet. My impression is that he is new and just doesn’t really know what he is getting into. He seemed to think my medications would be much cheaper than they were and told me I had to check with the front desk for accurate pricing. He told me he thought the medication + steroid shot would cost me about $ 80 (which my experience in the past puts the total in that general neighborhood). For the visit, cheap pain killers, and steroid shot, the ladies in the front told me I would have to pay them $ 580. I opted out of the steroid shot but agreed to the medication as I was desperate for some relief.
Anyway, the 10 minute doctor visit plus inexpensive pain meds cost me $ 220. I noticed on my invoice that they had prescribed me 60×10÷325 Hydrocodone, but my bottle said 60×5÷325. I went back to the front desk and asked for the proper price for what was essentially half the strength in medication. The not-​so-​friendly receptionist (who also fills the prescriptions) tells me she will refund me $ 3 as that is the difference in price. I then asked her if she could give me a 30×10÷325 pills which I could easily cut in half as the $ 3 difference seemed ridiculous, and she just looked down shook her head and said «uh uh.»
I am in a ton of pain, and have a very hard time navigating in my crutches (sprained my knee severely last week). The staff all looked at me as I struggled to open the double doors as I was leaving without any attempt to help (at this point the lobby was empty). I was clearly struggling and almost bit it again. Anyway, save your money folks and go to any other medical facility that isn’t this one. My impression is that there are some illegal shenanigans associated with how they operate their business.

I can not rave enough about the professional and prompt you receive at Superior multi service medical. It is a team of people dedicated to making you feel better right away.
From the extremely friendly desk staff to the clean facilities they go out of their way to make patients feel well cared for. They are a wonderful set of nurses and staff.
As for strange location don’t be thrown off I promise you will be completely satisfied when you get inside. The receptionist do everything in their power to make the visit affordable especially if you do not have insurance
For the doctors they never rush you and are here to listen to all your questions and concerns. A doctors office with a heart I highly recommend giving them a try.

Still feel the same way about this place. Anyone notice all the 5 star reviews have no friends and one review (for this place)… 99% of them are probably all fake. This place is awful. stay away!

These people are the worst kind of people. Responsible for other people’s health but so lacking in empathy and in simple manners to know how to handle patients that are ill and vulnerable and walking into their office for help.
I was told by my insurance company that this clinic could be used as urgent care. However when I walked in, the ladies at the front were very dismissive of my insurance and made a point of saying over and over again that THEY don’t take my insurance, «especially anything covered California». I am fortunate enough to to be swapping to a better health care soon but I immediately cringed and became furious at the way others are treated that have this health care as their only hope. When did it become necessary to treat others with disdain based on what they are able to afford — especially when it comes to health care.
I saw patient after patient come in who were treated with equal disdain and impatience. Thankfully none of them had my insurance otherwise I would have had to have seen the completely inappropriate way in which they too would have been made to feel small and less than worthy of care. I did see them act kindly for one moment — when they were ordering breakfast for themselves. The believability of the «we’re so swamped today», quickly gave way to skepticism. Keep in mind this was at 9:35 am. They opened at 9:30 am. How swamped and stressed could you be 5 minutes into your work day?
Hey ladies — learn how to treat any patient with the love you clearly provide to your cream cheese and bagels. Next month, when I do change into the health care that they do accept — I will make a point to never walk into this office again.
Respect those around you and if you’re in the health care profession — show a little compassion towards other people. A little goes a long way.

Went to this place out of desperation for my husband and daughter who were sick for the third time with the cold/​cough going around. I called to get a same day appointment for both of them. The receptionist was pretty helpful saying they were booked but, to come in at this time and she would squeeze us in. Paperwork took some time and we were the only ones in the waiting room. Waiting about 30 min or so. Nothing too horrible. The receptionist was friendly (which I think she is new, because of all the bad ratings on here) and the staff was nice.
We did end up seeing the PA and not the doctor. The PA was soft spoken but very nice, she even took time to let my 4 yr old listen to her heart beat with their tools. I had told them on the phone we just needed antibiotics– that was it. They didn’t try to sell us anything, and we were grateful they had the medications there ready to go (z pack and amoxicillin). The receptionist showed us the itemized bill so we knew what insurance would cover and what we were paying for.
All in all it was a good experience. We would go back!

Feel vindicated to see so many 1 star review in the few years since I went here. Over prescribing, over-​testing, insurance refusing… getting-​the-​cash-​in-​hand etc. is the MO. Crass. And so sad.
And yet most of the positive reviews are SO unbelievably positive. «Changed my life» «Medical genius» at the «top of his game» etc. Hmmmm, enough to make one wonder about the state of Denmark these days…
People, go with the weight of the evidence on this one.
You have so much choice. Don’t let these people get away with it.

This place and doctor changed my life. Two weeks ago, I burst into the urgent care center in tears convinced I had an ulcer. I was so scared as my father passed away from liver disease and I feared suffering the same thing, but the nurse and doctor calmed me down and were very helpful. Dr. Ray Ehsan has so much compassion and excellent bedside manner, which is harder to find than you’d think in the medical industry. They gave me some blood tests and pills and sent me on my way.
When I returned for my followup appointment, Dr. Ehsan greeted me with a hug and walked me through my results. He is very intuitive and could tell exactly what was going on with me mentally. I’d gotten sick in part because of stress, and he could tell it pertained to anxieties I still hadn’t fully dealt with. He told me to relax and let go of the past, which was mind-​boggling to me because I hadn’t said a thing about what had been bothering me! He hugged me again before I left and I walked out feeling so relieved and in control of my health. Everyone here is awesome and attentive, and the service is quick.
More than anything, the doctor is as good as it gets. He has the medical understanding and perceptive nature that make for exceptional physicians. I am going back to him as my primary doctor. As one review said, he changed my life and probably has no clue.

great place! excellent staff and service. you get what you pay for and even tho the prices can be on the steep side-​the staff and doctors make you feel at home and are VERY hospitable.
ive been going here for almost a year-​and hope to be coming back for many years more.
