I would only recommend their Bento Box — a bit pricey, but the sashimi is fresh and their green tea ice cream is to die for! Everything else included(teriyaki chicken, vegetable tempura, rice) is plain and nothing special.

Great service and great food! It’s clean and quiet too. The food was enough to feed my mom and my sister. I liked their modern interior design.

Great quality and friendly service. Mr. Ko knows his fish and is happy to explain to you about the different fish and their cuts. I could tell Mr. Ko really makes an effort to please all his customers.

The«MP» fatty tuna sushi was frozen and tough as tire rubber and turned out to be $ 18! The tempura batter was sugary and gross. Nothing tasted fresh. The 80s décor and garish disco lighting didn’t help. You are a long ways from Sugar Fish when you come here. On the bright side, service was good.

TL;DR — Great place for sashimi with no wait in Koreatown. ** This is a good place to get sushi if you want something quick, uncrowded, and convenient in Koreatown. The restaurant is located in the dying Aroma center so you don’t have to fight for parking(garage, free with validation) or push through crowds. I’ve had the salmon sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, ahi tuna sashimi, nigiri plate, and some of their rolls. The sashimi is fresh and they definitely don’t skimp on cuts or serving size. I agree with a previous reviewer that the sashimi here is better than then rolls. They serve a small selection of refreshing Korean side dishes that compliment the non-gluttonous attitude of a sushi dinner: pickled garlic, kimchi, and etc.

You can’t go wrong with their Sashimi Salad for $ 17. Sweet ending with either Green Tea or Red Bean ice cream.

Came here with my uncle to eat the sashimi. I was pleasantly surprised with the hamachi, abalone, salmon, tuna, toro tuna, and so much more. I sat at the bar and the chef was fun to talk to and he took care of us like a seasoned veteran. I’m not really convinced about the previous reviews of old fish and what not. I sure didn’t eat any. This is for SASHIMI. NOTSUSHI. This is for raw fish eating specialists– not for people who wanna mix tempura with their raw fish… And put oyster sauce on it. If you wanna taste real fish… Come here. Otherwise go to a sushi place. Yes the business is Korean ran… Meaning it gives larger portions than Japanese restaurants and it’s probably wayyyyyy less pricey :) more food, same quality and cheaper. Cool. Will come back again… With a date and not my uncle.

Very poor sushi. I’ve been to tons of sushi places in my life and this ranks way down bottom. The sushi tasted old(if you can call it that), tough, fishy, like it past it’s expiration date. Did the sushi chef decide to pile on all the old pieces of fish laying around to put together the lunch special? Sure seems like it. Much, much better sushi places in koreatown to enjoy

Fresh fish but the waitress is really rude. I usually get take out here. Normally togo the chirashi bowl. It is a good portion with big cuts of fish on top mushroom and rice with radish. The fish is usually really fresh which is why I do stop by although the waitress is a B

I asked if I could order to go and the hostess gave me a weird face and gave me the menu. I proceeded to order the sashimi rice which I love from other places and the hostess said«do you know what it is» I said yes and she disagreed and said«you don’t want that get the sashimi plate» Now, I don’t like being told what to eat when I know exactly what I want. So I said thank you and left. Never coming back again… i went to another sushi place where they did not rudely question my decision

I have def tried better sushi than this place. The only thing to write about is their service. All the ladies are so sweet and wonderful. Freshness and prices are something they should work on.

Tried this place out for lunch once just because it was in the same mall where I got my haircut. In ordered the Salmon Bento Box. It came with some sushi, sashimi, and tempura. Quality was very low. After eating2 of the sushi I just decided to stick to my salmon teriyaki and tempura. I really wanted to like this place since it’s across the street from my work… But never going back.

First of all, this is not a Japanese restaurant ??? We were greeted with Korean so I asked if this is a Japanese joint and they said it is Korean. I ordered a chirashi bowl and it was really not good. The fish are not very fresh besides the salmons. I would really appreciate the rice to be just rice but so many additional«toppings» were added to the rice such as seaweeds, sesames, and orange fish eggs all over the rice bowl. I am not going to get into my oyster appetizer! It is the worst I have tasted and I am a big fan of raw oysters. The miso soup is tasteless even though they are nice enough to offer you refills

We decided to come here after hitting the driving range at Aroma, after some debate as to its legitimacy. The Aroma mall is dying… at least it feels like it when you go inside, except for the parts that has to do with the golf range and spa. So taking a chance on a discreet sushi joint in that empty mall was a brave thing for us to do. And now I find out it is not even in Unilocal!yet… So, I add the first review. We head inside and are greeted by 3 very enthusiastic servers waiting for their first customers to arrive(6:45pm and empty, but a couple other tables fill up during our meal). The 3 of us get seated in a room, which is unique from other Japanese places in that it has glass walls. So you are in a room, but you feel like you’re not… Hmm… interesting, didn’t dislike the concept, but… what is the purpose? In any case the décor is all clear plexi-type, which is not a great idea in my opinion because that stuff gradually gets hazy. Doesn’t make for the cleanest appearance over time. Two of us ordered the sushi combo, another the Hwedubbab(Sushi & Veggie over rice). The sushi came with 4 pieces of Ca rolls, 1 piece each of maguro, halibut, sake, hamachi, tako, ika, ebi, hirame or tai(couldn’t tell which), and mirugai. The meal comes with a few side dishes that were just okay, bowl of edamame that were really fresh and plump, and a service plate of fish jeon with soy-based sauce that was not bad. I didn’t partake on the sushi rice bowl, so can’t speak for that. The sushi was actually pretty good and fresh. What I found really satisfying was the amount of rice in the sushi. Typically there is way too much rice, but here the rice was just the right amount and quite small compared to the generous size of the fish. Fits really well in one bite. I wish the combo came with a couple of sushi I really like such as saba and ikura… Anyway, it was well above my expectations. Probably 3.5−4 stars on food overall. And at $ 21.95 for the combo, it’s not a bad deal. Overall I give it 3.5 stars because of 4 – 4.5 star service, 3.5−4 star food, but an overall ambiance that’s pretty tough to impress being stuck in the corner of a dead mall. 2 stars for that. I hope this place does well, and I hope the mall revives. It’s in such a good location and they’re not doing much with it. Table-for-1 Factor: Good choice, there’s a sushi bar and no one for you to feel awkward with.
