If you are gluten intolerant, meet you’re new best friend. The churros are gluten free and they are better than any non-​gluten free churro I’ve ever had. Not only that, but they come with an amazing carmel dipping sauce. They also have gluten free cookies that are spectacular.
The owners are very nice people. The service was superb. Come support this new food truck!

I like the idea of a dessert truck. This one was ok in taste (decent, solid, but not out of this world good). The prices were a little steep in my opinion – $ 5.50 for a small bread pudding. You’ll find nothing on the menu for under $ 5 (except i think drinks?)

Probably my favorite food truck ever. The beignets are to die for. They’re really light and fluffy. Very different from any other beignet I’ve had. Their churros are even better. You get a nice crunch on the outside but the inside is just warm fluffy goodness. It’s served with their own caramel dipping sauce. It’s fantastic. The girls are all extremely helpful and nice. You might have to wait a little bit for your dessert, but they fry everything to order. It’s worth the wait.
My ONLY complaint is that they often run out of beignets before I get there!

The first time i had the chance to try Sweet Wheels was on a friday night on Chatsworth Street for Granada Hills Food Truck Frenzy

Tonight I intended on the apple cobbler because that to me really shows how good of a baker you are! If you can please me with Apple cobbler, I am sure any other plate you make will be fantastic!
So, I ordered the apple cobbler; an individual size that covered my whole hand, a heavy aluminum dish with warm, oozy apple cobbler and cool, fresh cream on top!
One bite in… holy Apple Cobbler! Best Apple Cobbler I have ever had!
The apples were not over cooked, but not undercooked either, still had that crisp and good bite, while maintaining the apple flavor. The cinnamon and syrup mix was not overwhelming and just sweet enough! The crumble topping was flaky, had good chunks and a great bite, balancing the sweetness!
So glad I tried them and can’t wait for another sweet bite!

They could use a smile on their face. The lady said the beignets took a while to make, so we tried to place an order and she told us to just wait until she finished ringing up the person before us (which took too long). We waited for uncooked, soggy mush drowned in powdered sugar. They should change their name to diarrhea on wheels. They also turned on the truck while making the food, and the windows were open. Not worth the $ 6 and time.

My beau and I are Sweet Wheels fans. We’ve been to their truck several times and honestly, they have the best sweets I’ve ever had in So Cal. The beignets are magnificent, light, airy, tons of powdered sugar, and a special recipe unlike any other beignet you’ve experienced, even the NOLA joint.
We’ve had just about everything on the truck from the sensational hand pies to the Nutella Bread Pudding and most recently the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies which I had to fight the love of my life for. These ladies know their stuff and like the other posters have written are just the sweetest, most gracious business owners on wheels. If you see them at an event, try something… their goodies are a bucket list item… gotta try ‘em before you go! :-)

Deliciously Yum! I had a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, nutella brownie, and lemon bar from them. These were no ordinary baked goods. I couldn’t get enough. I’m still thinking about all three and can’t wait to get my hands on some more.

I wish I could give 10 stars based off customer service alone! Everyone on the truck is very warm and welcoming. There was a slight issue that they resolved right away and i feel they resolved it appropriately.
My Husband and I came to the truck today and bought hot chocolate and beingets (sp?) and we would go back for more anytime they are in the area! can I just say the hot chocolate was to die for !!! holy cow it was amazing! the beingets were so warm and fluffy i could eat all 5 alone if my husband wasn’t trying to eat them all!

I tried their beignets for the first time when they were at Freddy’s Food Truck festival in Covina. Their beignets takes some time for them to make as they make them freash so you can order and and go do something else. Their beignets were delicious. It was not the typical beignet I’ve had, it was crispy on the outside and airy on the inside. Most beignets I’ve had in the past were like donut holes so they were filled with bread not air on the inside. I prefer to have the inside airy. A definite must try if you see this truck.

Wow. One word CURROS!!! No seriously, these ladies mad me the best curros I have ever had. Perfectly crispy, light and fluffly and nice and soft inside. You guys have some good stuff!

Found this truck in Studio City at a Food Truck Fest and the Beignets called to me. You get 5 for $ 6– they make each batch fresh when you order so they’re so warm and perfect when you get them. Next time I’m trying the Ricotta Puffs.

This truck is just «meh» for me.
The service is 4 stars. The ladies were very nice, very friendly and had great attitudes.
But:
the sweets were only 3 stars. I wasn’t crazy about the churros or their matching caramel sauce. The sauce was more sugary, less carmelly. The churros were nice and had good flavor. Not special enough to cost $ 4.50 though.
What really killed me was the blueberry pie. $ 5 for a pie that it took 2 bites to eat? Seriously? It felt like they robbed me for that pie.
So for value for the dollar, I give them half a star. I spent just shy of $ 10 for dessert for 2 people, and it didn’t feel like we got any dessert. I wish I’d spent that $ 10 at one of the real food trucks, and just eaten a cookie out of my pantry.
Wait time, I give a negative star. To be fair, they did tell me that the wait would be about 10 minutes. I said that was fine. Then I heard the lady tell the people behind me that the wait would be 20 – 25 minutes. My first thought was «really? and my wait is only 10 minutes? Someone is being lied to here. And it’s probably me» and sure enough, it was me that had been lied to. In fact, it was both of us, as the wait was over 30 minutes. I actually went to my car, but my food from another truck away, came back, waited at Sweet Wheels a bit, walked over to another truck, ordered something, waited for it, and then came back to Sweet Wheels and waited some more. It was kind of ridiculous.
So that’s the reason for the 3 star review. It’s really a 2.5 star review, but I’m being generous. I think their pastries are probably not bad, but I’m not tempted to try anything further because their prices are too high for the tiny portions and long wait times. I get that it’s «made to order» but it should at least be prepped in advance. And the portion sizes should be large enough to make you feel that you’ve spent your money or something worthwhile. I get that times are hard and the trucks need to make money, but times are hard for those of us spending our hard-​earned cash on the trucks, too. For some of us, it’s a treat to be able to eat out, and this is our indulgence. Don’t make us feel as if we’re throwing our hard-​saved money away, or being ripped off for it. You don’t encourage repeat business that way, either for yourself or the other food trucks.

I could give a 5 star rating just based on the fabulous customer service of Sweet Wheels. The two ladies that run this truck are awesome!
My friend and I came to the Hermosa Beach Food Truck gathering on Aviation after driving past and seeing that there was a dessert truck. When we got there, we were bummed to find out that Sweet Wheels was just visiting and was not open for business. However, we started talking to the Sweet Wheels owners and they opened up just to make some fresh Gluten Free Churros for us. Seriously, to die for! The churros also come with homemade caramel dipping sauce. So good!
Thanks, Sweet Wheels! We hope to see you at the next Hermosa Beach Food Truck gathering and to try some of the other treats.
Without a doubt, 5 stars!

Is there anything that could come out of a food truck that tasted better than a churro? Yes, that would be a gluten free, made to order churro with fresh caramel dipping sauce. Seriously folks, this truck knows how to make some delicious desserts.
We also ordered the benoits, which consist of 5 light and fluffy dough-​type balls. As well as the cake drops. I’m not even a big cake fan, but whatever they did to these things worked because they were delicious. Next time I see this truck, I am going to hit up the ricotta stuffed something or other as well as the skinny wheels. I’m a sucker for caramel and granny smith apples, but my girlfriend talked me into the churro instead (which was clearly a good move as that was my favorite of the items we did order).
Seriously, if you see this truck around, LEAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT!
