Sad to say Swirl Candy Apple Company isn’t around anymore. I still crave their strawberry lemonade, especially in the summer. :[
I really hope they open another location, if not in the mall, somewhere else where they can hopefully be more successful :]

OMG… was craving this place ALL DAY LONG today. Did NOT check Unilocal before going. I’ve already been here, I love it, and I wanted a caramel apple, doggone it. I got there, and the stall was EMPTY… no sign of life. Vanished. I am verrrrrrrrry upset. I thought it was such a great place. Now it’s gone. Then, I come onto Unilocal cuz now I’m curious, and so now, I see others have experienced the same. I was more hoping that this place would have relocated, and I just didn’t know it… it appears not. Boo-hoo…and the craving lives on. What am I gonna do now?

pretty sure they are history. couldnt find them on the directory at the mall. Kurtosh is gone too. dang.

I went to get carmel apples today and Swirl was gone! Where have they moved to? I was very sad.

I would love to give this place 5 stars except THEY ARE NO LONGER THERE!!! WTF??? I was addicted to my Crunchy Munchies apple so much that for my birthday my wonderful husband got me gift certificates. Now what do I do with a piece of paper?! I was just there last week and now… gone :-(I’ve checked website & other Swirl is in Hawaii. I’d love to just drive over there but… PLEASE bring this place back!!! They had great selection of toppings, frozen cheesecake, chocolate covered strawberries, etc. I’ve sent them an email so I will update as soon as I receive a response. For now, my mouth will just have to salivate!

I was sooo happy to see Swirl make its way across the Pacific to California to satisfy my craves for frozen bananas! Until recently, I had to wait to fly to Hawaii to get my taste for chocolate covered frozen bananas at Swirl Windward Mall in Kaneohe, HI.
The staff was very helpful and pleasant in helping me decide from the variety of flavors yet I was fixated on exactly what I wanted; Dark Chocolate covered frozen banana in Nuttin’ but Nuts. Being lactose-​intolerant the frozen banana is a perfect alternative to the Eskimo Pie’s and Drumsticks I grew up with. I’d have this everyday for my serving of fruit. Between all the varieties of chocolates and toppings, one could go from very basic to very sweet, like milk chocolate and crunchy munchies. Try to find your perfect match and the Swirl staff will help you as well.
I encourage you all to try different combinations of the chocolates and toppings with the different bases, you won’t be dissatisfied.

Before I begin to describe how scrumptious the product is, I have to comment on how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff of this Swirl is. They provide you with all the tips necessary to preserve your apple should you not want to consume it then and there, which will certainly take a fair amount of restraint. They take the time to ensure that you walk away a happy customer which is a component of customer service that is missing almost everywhere now-​a-​days.
As for the apples and other products they sell (chocolate covered strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, etc)… my goodness. Sweet tastiness that defies all description. The ooozing caramel and incredible assortment of toppings is making my mouth water as I write this. As a matter of fact, and I’m not even kidding, I am going to cut this review short and head over there right now…

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
The chocolate covered strawberries were delicious and they made them fresh when I called in.
Will definitely come back to try their other stuff.

almost anything covered in chocolate is delicious! but Swirl has amazing toppings that you can add. peanuts, peanuts with marshmallows… mmm! the caramel covered apples are delicious! they’re HUGE juicy apples on a stick covered in warm caramel SWIRLed in peanuts, then they can cut it into pieces for you to make it easier to eat :)
I also LoVE the bright colors of their place. it stands out, catches your eye… nice employees & owners! if you haven’t visited them, you must.

I am not a grand reviewer, but this is, hands down, the best dessert place in the greater LA area!!!
Choose from a variety of fresh and frozen fruits such as apples, strawberries, bananas and more, up to covered pretzels and the most delicious cheesecakes and add-​on one (or more) of their special dips and toppings such as dark/​white/​milk chocolate or caramel — peanuts/​almonds/​oreo cookies/m&ms and sooo much more!
They definitely do offer something for everyone. You won’t be able to resist their desserts when you pass by their shop!

OMG! The new location is just amazing! I have been visiting this company ever since I graduated high school in 2004 (Wow, revealing my age here, Haha) and I must say, I do miss their first location in Ward. The one in Kaneohe isn’t too bad but I must say that the one at Topanga Mall is just breath taking. It’s has such a modern look that is eye appealing and catchy.
Where else can you get a snack where you can choose your toppings? I mean, honestly, frozen yogurt places are a dime a dozen nowadays but to be able to order a caramel apple and have it freshly dipped (not mass produced and handed to you) and then choose from over a dozen different toppings, come on, that’s an amazing experience! And I know I’m a bit greedy when it comes to my treat but the caramel apple can be cut and then you can share it with friends. That’s what I did when I first went there. After the first time, I dragged my friends back and we all shared two apples with different toppings. And for the price, it’s a bargain!
Also, if you want a completely different taste, try cutting the apple into slices and sticking it into the fridge. The air and the juices will combine to create a cider affect on it that, combined with caramel, is just indescribable!
My all time favorite will always be the rainbow sprinkles with white chocolate for any of their frozen selections. And their chocolate dipped strawberries may not be Godiva, but for this diva, they satisfy!
My recommendation, go check them out. Or order them online. The staff are friendly and well trained and you will always walk away with a smile and your sweet tooth fulfilled!

What can I say, I am hooked! I recently started going to school in Canoga Park and made it part of my weekly routine to stop by Swirl at the Westfield Topanga Mall to get my frozen banana fix. If I could have it my way, I would eat here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Their specialty is the caramel apples, which are dipped in caramel and covered in your choice of one of their many candy mixes and you can even ask them to slice it for you to devour right there. It’s like eating a somewhat healthy candy bar! And if that’s not enough, they also have cheesecakes and ice cream bars that they dip in chocolate and your choice of one of the mixes, as well as chocolate dipped strawberries. I think I’ve tried almost everything on their menu. My favorite is the frozen banana dipped in dark chocolate and either their berry berry mix, nuttin but nuts, or rainbow sprinkles.
The service is great and the staff are also always very friendly and helpful, making my weekly visits fun and easy.
I also just noticed that they have an online store where you can order their caramel apples or their other chocolate treats which taste as pretty as they look (I don’t know what «pretty» tastes like, but I imagine it tastes like a chocolatey, sprinkly dipped cookie or pretzel).
Love, love, love Swirl and I can’t wait for my next frozen banana. I’m already planning which topping I’m gonna get on it this week.

Have you ever told yourself you were going to only eat half of something and then ended up devouring the whole thing before you even left the parking lot? That’s what happened when I ordered the Nuttin But Nuts carmel apple from Swirl.
The apples are HUGE! The granny smith apple I chose was covered in caramel, almonds, pecans, walnuts and peanuts. It looked so beautiful; I didn’t want to eat it. They conveniently slice them in 8 pieces. Maybe too convenient because I was only going to eat a few pieces the next thing I knew, I was holding stick with the carcass of the apple and had sticky hands.
This place is diabolical. It’s located on the first floor of the mall in a kiosk near Target. This place lured me over. It has FROZEN CHEESECAKE. Who would do that? People who intend to addict you to their delicious products. Not to mention they have, chocolate coated bananas and chocolate dipped strawberries. I haven’t tried any of this yet but I will because they get you hooked on the apples and then you have get a banana. They have a ridiculous amount of «outrageous» mixes so I’ll have to try them all. But it’s all actually healthy because they’re fruit. You need to get your daily allotment of fruit.
They also make perfect gifts. My friend got the Almond Brittle Bash and the Triple Chocolate Chunk carmel apples for coworkers and they put them in little gift bags.
The workers are super helpful and sweet. I ask a million questions and they were really patient.

I went here to get a gift for my friend because she loves candied apple, but I wanted to get something totally different from what she’s used to.
The assortment of choices is amazing! They don’t only have candied apple; you can also get strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, etc covered with anything you want.
Overall, it’s a good place for any of those sweet tooth moments

I realize that chocolate covered banana deliciousness are not unique to Hawaii, but I loved the Swirl back in Hawaii and when I stumbled upon their location at the Westfield Topanga Mall, I wanted to cry.
I immediately ordered my favorite: dark chocolate covered banana with uh oh!-reo (crushed oreo cookies, white and milk chocolate chips – SO GOOD) and devoured it by the time I reached my car. It tasted just like I had remembered it, like I had happily just gained 5 lbs.
I’ve also noticed they’ve since expanded their menu since I went to their Hawaii location. I love their fresh lemonade, which tastes better than the various pretzel places in the mall AND is cheaper.
Really great customer service and consistently yummy treats.
Swirl has convinced me that Aloha Spirit can come in the form of delicious desserts.

I thought this place was good. The caramel is hot when they dip it, so that any chocolate in the crunchy coating starts to melt as you’re eating it — it’s gooey goodness, if you’re in the mood for that. It can get a tad messy, but who cares if you’re digging in for some yummy fun. Kids would love it.
For some reason I prefer when the apples are pre-​dipped in advance and then chilled, so they can chop it up for you and it’s a little more eater-​friendly.
Good in a pinch though, and somehow in my mind eating a candy coated apple is better for you than just straight candy… don’t rain on my denial!

Sweet.very sweet Pina Colada candied apple delivered by an angel! Who made this thing? Wow! Probably in the top ten apples I have ever had. Maybe not the very best. but pretty close to it.
The apple is gigantic. I shared it with my baby who said she liked the chocolate caramel ones better (Rocky Mountain Chocolate). She said it was her next favorite.
So, I agree with her. We are fans! A place for any sweet lover to visit!

Got my piña colada and almond toffee candy apples here for gifts.
Pick either apple, banana, cheesecake or ice cream then choose from 21 different mixes. The worker was very friendly in explaining everything. I was interested in caramel apple and he told me the top best sellers are: piña colada, almond toffee and berry mix.
You can get the whole apple or have it sliced. It lasts for 1 hour if you get it sliced and 24 hours if you keep it refrigerated and unsliced.
Why didn’t I get some for myself??? I am going back there next week to get candy apples for myself. I didn’t know the promotion when I was there but there’s a promotion until June 21^st (Buy one and get one for 50 percent off if you mention the promotion).
This place is located at Topanga Plaza between Macy’s and Target.
