I’ve hired Fernando to cater three big parties and each and every time, it has been a HUGEHIT! His tacos are some of the best in town and when they are made in your back yard it’s like a little miracle. My friends fell in love with his food and he has since been hired by a bunch of them. He brings his griddle to your house or wherever the party is being held. He provides plates and utensils and everything you need. He even brings an extra folding table for all the fixin’s. We usually have him cook 4 or 5 different kinds of tacos, beans, rice, limes, cilantro, onion pico de gallo, guacamole, chips and 2 different kinds of salsa. My husband ate 12 tacos at our last party. He comes with a helper, they are clean and really put together. He is so kind and courteous. I almost wish I had more parties just so I could hire him more. I would always recommend this awesome company. Here’s a blog post I wrote about him Give it a shot, you will not be disappointed.

The food is insane. He’s on time, and he makes a ton of food. We have used him a bunch, and we always feel full, have plenty left over, and all of our guests feel the same. Plus, he is flexible with location, and will work with you to get the food to your party. Cannot recommend him enough.

Stopped by last night. I was warmly greeted by the owners. I am an Al Pastor junkie, so I quickly scanned the menu and ordered the AP burrito with red salsa. A few minutes later, it arrived. It was pretty damn good — whole, tender beans, rice, onions and cilantro and delicious, juicy, wonderfully charred and flavored meat. With the nicely spiced and flavored salsa, it was a meal that I enjoyed immensely. As I was eating, they had several people come in for to-go orders. I got an order of their Posole and AP and Carne Asada tacos to go. I just ate the Pozole and it was very good — full of meat and hominy. Delicious! Tacos will be for lunch. On weekends, they offer the already-mentioned Pozole, Menudo and Birria. At all times they offer Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Cabeza, Tripas(which seemed to be a big seller while I was there), Pollo, Lengua, Carnitas, Chicharron, Buche and a couple that I am not familiar with — Higado and Rinon. All of these can be ordered as either a combo with rice and beans, burrito, taco or quesadilla. They also have fresh made aguas. When I was there, they had Tamarindo. Around 6pm, they pull out the flat-top griddle and set it up out front. I stayed a while and they got pretty busy. They told me that most of their business has been word of mouth and repeat business. They have been there for 3 months now and took over the lease from the previous tennant — Antojitos Chilangos. I hope they will be around for a long time. I appreciate their desire to make good-quality, delicious food at very reasonable prices.

I forget the name of what this little place used to be that served up some bad Mexican food, and by Bad that’s not a good thing. It seemed as they were closed more days than open, even had a For Sale sign outside, then I notice the for sale sign gone and a new sign up that says: Taco Riendo, but when I went in it didn’t seem as they had their ish… together! I wanted some tacos and they had a pretty impressive offering of like 8+ different types of meats to choose from, UNFORTUNATELY most were not available at that time, I could choose from Pollo, Al Pastor y Carne Asada. Tacos — Tortillas were horrible, literally falling apart as you try picking it up… Al Pastor — Once you get past the bad tortillas, this is just some chopped up pieces of pork marinated in some sauce and cooked on a flattop grill… it’s not a true al pastor, worst of all it’s not all that good. 2-Stars Carne Asada — nicely cooked thought flavor was just OK3-Stars Salsa — Nice spice with pretty good flavor… Think I’ll give them time to settle in before giving them another shot at those other meats they they supposedly have.
