I just had a chicken and an asada taco. It was so good. Hit the spot!!! I would come again when i have a chance. The condiments are various. The jalapenos in the condiments burnt my lips but that’s fine.

The tacos here are the best. The tortillas are so soft. These tacos are way better than king taco or el taurino. Also i love that they have all the characters condiments, the pico de gayo, avocado green sauce, pickled onion, and radish. Only thing missing is the mini grilled onion.

Food = 2.5 stars Service = who cares Cleanliness = 1.5 stars These tacos are mediocre. I dont know how this place has 4 stars. Maybe the owners friends review the place for them? Flavorwise, if youre drunk and halfway incoherent, youll be ok eating here. But what really got me to lose my appetite was the cleanliness, or lack thereof, of this place. The worst was when I saw the chefs dirty sleeve touching the meat while cooking it.

I haver never left a review in my life but here goes. WTH is wrong with you people, these are probably the worst tacos i have ever had in my life! I know i get this is not east LA, so i get why many non locals like these tacos! Aside from their many sides these tacos have no flavor, are so greasy(which is fine but no flavor still?) C, mon people go to taco bell around the corner, trust me its better!

AWESOME. Hits the spot! There’s nothing like good old fashioned, simple, yet so satisfying street foods. In this neighborhood, Tacos Ochoa are one of the best. Costs close to nothing, yet is very satisfying, and the family are charming!

Was craving a burrito and found this place on Unilocal, decided to try it because it’s a block away from my place. So. Damn. Good. Their al pastor is definitely the best. They also have a big salsa/side bar.

I just moved into this area and I came across Taco Ochoa while trying to find parking. I love Tacos like this. I always enjoy buying tacos from food trucks or on the street just because it is really authentic. My boyfriend and I got 2 Asada, 2 Al Pastor, and 1 Pork Belly and oh yum, everything was delicious! I highly do recommend the Al Pastor. They have sauces to on the side for you to get along with onions, raddish, etc. $ 1.50 for tacos. Not bad at all~ I am a fan!

I’m not a big taco lover or eater, yet when it comes down to it I like this place. They have the best pastor tacos I have eaten. This coming from a very picky person. The pastor is a must try at this location. The tacos guys are very friendly as well. If your ever around the area you should try them out!

What awesome street food! Had the burrito with half al pastro and carne and it was so damn good! Here’s the deal for burritos. You first order on the left where the dude is grilling. Then go pay at the right $ 5 for burrito. The grill dude will then hand you a plate with the tortilla open and meat in it. You then load it up with the fillings(onions, peppers, etc.). Don’t go too nuts cuz some of this is super spicy. Hand it back to the grill dude and he’ll roll it up tight for you. The salsa bar is extensive. If you can’t find parking on the street, park in Smart and Final. They can probably tow but you should be in and out pretty fast. And there’s only 1 driveway in and out so you’ll probably see the tow truck drive in if it did come.

Ok, I admit. I have been here two nights in a row. It’s just that good. Everyone who lives in LA has a taco truck on their block that they are fiercely proud of and brag about to their friends. I’m proud that Tacos Ochoa is mine, as well as everyone who lives on Occidental and La Fayette. I’ve had asada, al pastor, lengua, and pollo tacos; all good. And yes, I admit that I had El Taurino for dinner yesterday and today too. Taco cravings are one of life’s great unexplainable mysteries, and I don’t want to know the reason. The tacos are only $ 1.25, and the small line moves super quick. If you order tacos, you literally have no wait as the meat is constantly churning out. The best part is the plentiful condiments and sides. It has the largest side bars of any taco truck I’ve been to. The grilled jalapeños are spicy and delicious. Love that you can come grab a quick bite and be on your way in 10 – 15 minutes tops.

Maybe we caught them on a bad night. Or maybe theyre like this everyday. Now we came here because my friend said the food was good. Im not opposed to eating at small taco stands or taco trucks usually you get pretty good service and pretty good food. Now when we got here there was a line so thats a good sign… But when we got to the front of the line the lady in the front very rudely just asked«what do you want?» No smile no hello. Nothing. Now i get it. Youre busy. But when you cant even say a simple hello… That was still okay. I didnt mind. Maybe she was having a bad day. so we ordered 3 burritos, 2 steak and 1 chicken to go but have the burritos open. And we waited and the food came out pretty quickly(1 star) but they got our order wrong. They only gave us 2 burritos that were closed. And when we told them about it(the fact that there were supposed to be 3 and opened) the other girl just stared at us. But she finally said she would fix it. Okay so we waited. «Fixing it» just meant getting us the other burrito and tossing it in the bag. Not even an appology. Nothing. Just moved on. Now i dont know why they would treat their customers like that i mean it was $ 5 per burrito, which werent that big to be honest. The burrito itself was pretty ok(2nd star) nothing special. The chicken was a bit salty. But overall im pretty disappointed with this place. I didnt expect a 5 start sit down restaurant service but at least some decent service. I didnt see any of that. For the $ 15 that we paid we coulda had a much better meal at another taco stand with better service. Very very doubtful ill be coming here again.

I used to come here all the time since I live on the street where they set up. The tacos used to be $ 1 each no matter what kind and ride and beans would be complimentary. When I went a few weeks ago, they increased the price to $ 1.25 per taco but still complimentary rice and beans. And when I went last week, they charged me for the rice and beans. Like. what’s next? Charging for limes? Salsa? It’s not that I mind paying, I just wish they would mention it or list it somewhere. Especially since I generally only leave the house with exact change. Grr.

They set up on the sidewalk with a huge array of meats being cooked in various ways. The quality is excellent and the service very friendly, and they speak English fluently. Absurdly, sometimes the police come by and shut them down from providing food in an area where there are no competing restaurants and there is very little food traffic. I’m good with enforcement, but go do it where it needs to be done, Chief.

The pictures on Unilocal shows this place as a food stand. However, when I checked this place out today, there was a food truck! It was parked right on La Fayette and Beverly. I got the carne asada taco and al pastor taco. Each was $ 1 — what a cheap dinner! There are also plentiful of condiments(three salsas, four toppings) to add to your meals. After you order and pay, they give you a ticket. Then you step back and wait for your number to be called. People are standing there and eating, while others are ordering it to-go. My tacos came with heaping piles of meat. It was the most meat ever given to me in a taco. Los Cinco Puntos in East Los comes close. The carne asada was ordinary. I got pickled veggies on the side(onions, jalapenos, some other stuff) and the pickled veggies was surprisingly pretty spicy! The star here was the al pastor taco. Juicy, tender, and flavorful. Perhaps the best al pastor taco I’ve ever had. I was a little skeptical but Tacos Ochoa won my heart. Cheap and good. I wouldn’t go out of my way for it but if I was in the area, craving Mexican food or cheap eats, I would definitely consider coming!

How did this place get so many good reviews? I had a suadero burrito, lengua taco, and tripas taco. All were dry and pretty flavorless kind of like how Taco Zone is. With all the other trucks and stands in the area I’ll pass on this one from now on. Ok salsa bar though.

I love their cabeza tacos. Nice, tender, and tasty. $ 1 a taco. Not sure how much their burritos are though. They have lots of condiments, so you’ll never have to worry about not having any. It turns out they also have jamaica. Didn’t know they had some until I was already leaving. It’s not your regular eat-in place, but they do serve good food that was well worth doing by curve side. I’ll definitely go back again.

I live walking distance from this stand… the death of me! There’s this cart(same side as smart and final) and one across the street which always looks like a ghost town. We used to go to the one across the street to be nice and give the sad guy some business. We were stoked about the $ 1.25 tacos. But I couldn’t suppress my curiosity – why is the other one always happenin? Now I know. Tacos are not only cheaper($ 1 each) but they’re bigger, meatier and fresher. Their quesadillas and burritos and al pastor are out of the world. They also make a taco quesadilla with al pastor. so delish. The guy speaks perfect English. I love him. Limitless salsa and veggies. There’s one that’s super spicy with raw jalapeños. My stomach was not forgiving the next day. Cleanliness is null. I accidentally dropped the salsa scooper in the deep salsa bucket. The guy fished it out with his hands, right after touching cash. And who knows what other germy hands touched the scooper. So don’t think about and just eat.

So delicious. You don’t have to be drinking to enjoy the food that these folks produce. The carne asada is very juicy. The secret is no secret at all: they marinate and semi-boil their carne asada in broth before cooking it. The al pastor is legit. $ 1 tacos. Sooooooooo good. So damn good. I really hope that these folks have a food permit so that they can continue to stay in business because they make some really good tacos(they also make burritos and mulitas).

I don’t know how this place has gone under the Unilocal radar but I’m happy to put them on the map. It’s funny because this little corner of Beverly and Lafayette actually has two taco outfits posted up across the street from one another. In the gentrified world of coffee, that would be like having a Starbucks and Coffee Bean duking it out for your caffeinated cash. I’ve only ever seen a crowd at Tacos Ochoa(east of Lafayette), so since I like to hang with the popular crew, I head there when a taco craving hits or when it’s late, I’m hungry or far from sober, and have cash on hand. The meat is juicy, flavorful and loaded up on masa-like tortillas that are thick enough to man handle their stuffing but not so thick that all you taste is tortilla. Tacos are $ 1 each and you can eat them plain or jazz them up with fixings from their salsa bar. Splurge and opt for a quesadilla for a real zinger of a snack. If you love Starbucks, then they’re your Sbucks If you love Coffee Bean, then they’re your CB. You feel me?
