The pastrami was bomb and they make it in a different way too. this ain’t 5 star restaurant but still the food tastes better than 5 star restaurant.

Been coming here since i was young i always order the bacon cheeseburger with seasoned fries so good. I prefer the shredded lettuce opposed to my fiancé. The fries and burgers are delish and no extra charge for thousand island.

I kind of knew what I was getting into going into this place, but if you’re going to have an unhealthy cheap meal you at least want it to taste good. Their onion rings were a bag full of fried dough and I could barely find the onion rings. Fish sandwich just fell apart and their was way more lettuce then anything and i could barley find the fish. Spend a few bucks more and go over to Fusion Burgers or elsewhere. Hopefully this place can up their quality one day.

Stopped by this place during my lunch break and I had the carne Asada burrito. The meat that they used was chopped into smaller pieces which makes it look like ground beef however, it is in fact carne asada. The quality was above average and not bad for fast food. I had a Jamaica to drink which was also yummy, however it is NOT natural. The cook and gentleman working the counter where fast and efficient. Will certainly be back!

burgers and fries are your typical local spot food but their teriyaki bowl is the best in Highland Park for sure. You definitely get your moneys worth. And the same guys have been working here for years so they’re pretty freindly.

It’s not that the food is unpleasant, it’s just that this place is kind of a ripoff. Menu items are posted at less than they actually cost. Credit card charge passed to the consumer. AC and bathrooms for employees only. The burger patties taste ok, but compared to the amount of lettuce on the standard dress they are practically an afterthought on the sandwich. In short, I solved lunch, but I felt like a sucker for doing so here.

Good friendly place. Awesome burgers and breakfast. Breakfast burrito is loaded with cheese, hash brown and sausage. Burgers are done right too.

Been coming here for ten years and with managed expectations, this place is pretty decent. The place has been updated, with a cheesy rose painted on the wall. Salsa– canned and sometimes frozen Peppers– from a jar Chili fries are crazy. But in a good way. Chili smothered in fries with melting cheese, mmmm. I’m really into the crunchy chicken tacos. They use dark meat that’s seasoned, juicy and tender. It’s a bit over a dollar so it’s perfect for a mini snack. Fries are great with the salsa(once it’s thawed a bit) and layered with peppers.(Sounds weird but it’s tasty good). Fish burger is bomb, tuna melt is good spicy too. But I think everything tastes better spicy. Ha. The man behind the counter looks the same as he did ten years ago and he remembers me even after all this time. They’d get higher marks if they accepted cards. Parking is bad too, especially on the weekends. As for the homeless people, eh. So what? They are hungry and need help too. Get over your snooty hipster attitude and you’re golden.

It’s good. Nuff said. I’ve been coming here since I was kid. I haven’t had a chance to try other items on the menu. I come here strictly for the burgers. The food is consistent and tasty. Suggestion: Order to go, and enjoy the burgers and fries comfortably at home.

Underwhelming to say the most. Ordered a chili cheeseburger, regretted it instantly. Meat was thin and bland, chili was a complete let down. Barely had any meat, it didn’t even look like chili honestly. But one look at the prices and it makes sense. This place will get a better review from me only if I’m drunk

I came here with a couple of friends after they had a small concert at the Highland Park Farmers Market. I haven’t been here since I was 14, and I remembered it was an okay place. I came in with my bike, they got and made me move it… I was able to keep it inside though. I waited in their until my friends arive. After about 10 minutes, I went to go order. I talk to the cahsier and he told me what was the most common thing ordered… It was the burger combo. He also told me that there chili wasn’t that good… He was a cool honest guy. I ordered a double cheese burger combo… It was $ 7.25. My other friend ordered the same thing and got charged $ 7.75… I think the guy liked me for talking to him. The meat was a thin slice of meat like a lot of cheap burger places… It was okay. There bread tasted a bit old, and they gave a small soda and fries. These are the only two reasons why I gave them this low of a rating… That, and you have to pay for refills. I think I might come back for a different thing to order.

Not all that. Can get the same food at any hole in the wall mom&pop and those are all over LA. Low score because when I went in I didn’t care for the attitude of the guy that took my order. He acted like he wanted to say«duh» for every question I asked but didn’t because it’s his job. I just ordered something I figured nobody could mess up on so I didn’t have to deal with this dude any longer. He better watch it because someone with major tude is going to go in there one day. I’m not confrontational unless pushed and not trying to catch a case in a burger joint! Totally different attitudes from the employees at the location off Slauson&Fig. Drive down to that one or one of the many off of Main. Tams is all over down there and the food ain’t all that to deal with a bad attitude. No wonder the place was empty!

Love it here! Been coming since… hmmm 2005 I believe. Always order: Breakfast Burrito — sausage, no lettuce, salsa on the side. Makes for a great burrito! Teriyaki Chicken Bowl or Mixed Teriyaki Chicken and Beef! Massive bowls, with an order of fries on the side. Love the bowls… could give a little bit more fries. I’ve tried other local places but this breakfast burrito beats them all!

I’m not surprised at the 3-Star rating as I came here for their Breakfast Burrito noticing the sign in the window «4-Pieces of Bacon» guess that’s why the price is a little high but the burrito sounds good. Bacon Breakfast Burrito — average size burrito but… very heavy on the potato and light on the bacon, I «ASSUMED» 4-pieces meant 4-STRIPS of Bacon!?! guess NOT, they break it up or chop it in crumbles and the bacon was few and far between and not 4-strips worth. Salsa — was acceptable at best nothing to talk about. I probably would have given the burrito 3-Stars except for the price tag of $ 5.01 about a dollar more than most places, and lacking on Bacon, gotta keep it real 2-Stars.
