Catering was perfect. My Midwestern parents said the food was very good, and our California foodie friends were really impressed about locally and ethically sourced food. The staff member was a sweetheart, friendly and professional. All the business cards she left were picked up by our guests.

Totally blown away. Great personality, great cooking tips and a great space to cook and party in. We enjoyed a girls night out cooking and leaning with Pace. It was such a unique experience and such a fun night! Great dishes, too! Would gladly do it again in a heart beat!

Wow! I was totally blown away by the food that Pace brought to our office. We get lunch catered daily, and sometimes we get good food other times we get food that isn’t too bad. This was one of the few times that we got amazing food. I was presented with ingredients that I do not normally enjoy, (Mint, quinoa) and found them exquisite. The meats were tender, and juicy. Nothing was overcooked (even the chicken breast), and the things that were standard fare (roasted potatoes) were prepared in an artistic and masterful way. Bravo! I look forward to eating this food again. I shall be keeping an eye out for an underground event.

Pace recently hosted a private birthday dinner for my girlfriend and 18 of our friends. I don’t know where to start, whether it was how accommodating she was leading up to the event, the menu she curated to our tastes, or the incredible food itself! It was one of the best experiences we’ve enjoyed as a couple and it was such an honor to be able to share a private meal prepared by her with all our friends. Pace is a very sweet & genuine person and there isn’t one thing I could think to complain about. Call her now if you’re thinking of doing something similar because I have a feeling she is going to be too popular for us to do this again next year :) fingers crossed though! I really want more of her beet-​pickled deviled eggs and the lamb skewers!

My office had a holiday cooking party at Pace’s amazing loft in downtown LA. I highly recommend Pace’s services for small intimate office parties or team building exercises!
The entire event was magnificent. Pace made the class fun and engaging and let the participants get as involved as they felt like (the rest «supervised» with a glass of wine in hand). We had about 20 people and everyone has a blast. The best part was that we all got to enjoy dinner after we had participated in cooking!
Pace demo’d each recipe we were going to cook, then her and her team (Nikki and Luca) helped walk us all through cooking each part of the meal (we also got copies of all the recipes we learned to make).
Also, Pace made setting the entire thing up extremely painless; we exchanged a few emails (and our deposit) and the deal was done.

I have hired Pace and her amazing team twice, and I am already looking for another excuse to throw a party so we can have her cater again. Pace has now put together two very different, but very lovely baby showers for me. My guests are always quite impressed with the quality of the food and the unique, stylish presentation.

This review is overdue. In Oct., Pace Webb and the Taste of Pace staff put together an amazing dinner experience for a dinner meeting at my boss’ home for 20 people. From the floral arrangements, the food presentation, and of course the delectable FOOD, everything was done to perfection. We threw in a few last minute requests, and these were handled with ease. We will indeed use Taste of Pace again.

Used Pace for a business meeting this week. Their menu is super easy for corporate lunches. Food was really good, I would say its New American. Service was great, they showed up right at noon with 20 individually packed lunches. Very impressive. I can recommend their catering.

We hired Taste of Pace to cater our event in May for about 125 people. From the start they were hands on, creative, and, most importantly, came up with absolutely stellar food.
We had a sushi station, a gourmet taco station, and passed appetizers. After selecting the dishes we wanted/​were considering, Pace had us come over for a tasting prior to the event to taste the food and refine the menu. We were able to work together, tweak this and that to personal tastes and preferences, etc, and come up with the perfect menu for the event.
Pace and her team were extremely professional, easy to work with, and handled everything beautifully.
Our guests could not stop raving about the food– every dish earned 5 stars!
I highly recommend Taste of Pace, and look forward to the chance to work with them again!

We hired Pace and her team for a 350 person event in Hollywood last week and she was so professional, easy to work with, accommodating and worked with us on our budget. She was a joy to work with and her food is amazing! Please be sure to order the fried chicken sandwich with sriracha mayo and the homemade whoopie pies.
I definitely recommend Pace and her team, can’t wait to work with them again.

I hired Taste of Pace for my 40^th birthday/​house warming party and it was the best thing I could have done. I wanted to throw a great party with great food and be able to enjoy it without having to worry about food prep, so I wanted to hire a caterer.
I usually do all the cooking for my parties so I didn’t know where to start to look for a caterer so I went to Unilocal and searched. I called a few places but no one got back to me. Then I saw TASTE OF PACE and all the amazing reviews they had so I gave them a call.
From that first call until the night of the party, everything was so easy and delightful and far surpassed my expectations. Pace, Merinelle and everyone at TOP are AWESOME. They are so nice and friendly and really work with you to make your event unique and special. Since I was a first time caller, Pace dealt with me directly. She answered all of my questions and made great suggestions. Her menu is varied and her pricing is very reasonable. She includes everything in her bids and works with your budget. There is no nickle and diming or charging extra for every little thing. I knew what my total price would be all along.
Once we finalized the menu Pace came out personally to do a site visit and review all the details of the event to make sure we covered everything. Pace even showed up on the day of the event just to check in and wound up staying for a few hours to make sure everything was great. She had no problem jumping in to help her team and she even passed the appetizers around to my guest and offered to get them drinks. She even collected gifts they brought and placed them inside so that my guests could just relax and have a great time. I was beyond impressed with Pace and her team. They honestly far surpassed my expectations.
The entire staff for the night (Chris, Tammy, Adam and Mitch) were TOP NOTCH. They really catered to all my guests to make sure everyone was well taken care of. The food was EXCELLENT and there was plenty of it too. Adam the bartender was great and made sure no glass was ever empty. Mitch the food runner did an outstanding job. Chris and Tammy in the kitchen kept the food coming nice and hot and delicious. They cleaned up as well when they were done. I really didn’t have to worry about a thing — except having a great time.
My guests all commented on how nice my party was and how great the food was and how lovely the staff was. THANK YOU PACE!!!
I can’t say enough good things about Pace and her team. Hiring them was the best decision I could have made. I now know who I will be hiring for any future parties I throw.

I contacted Pace to see if they could assist me in a dinner party for my daughter’s graduation in Irvine. She was very helpful in putting together a menu and took care of all the details. Her server Chris showed up promptly on time and worked quietly and organized in the small space that was provided. She had the appetizers laid out on time and the presentation was beautiful. She then proceeded to prepare and have dinner ready on time and beautifully presented on a variety of dishes and boards. The meal was fantastic and everyone really enjoyed it. By the time i was finished and got up, I realized that she had hand washed all my Versace china, all the silver wear and had the entire space clean, with dessert laid out. She quietly left without me even knowing.
So often when you have a party, you are not able to enjoy yourself worrying about the food and drinks and cleaning up the meal. I was able to enjoy my evening with my guests, while she handled all the food and clean up and left quietly without a fuss.
I highly recommend Taste of Pace for all your party needs as they are able to customize exactly what you want, and the food and service is excellent! i received numerous comments on how good all the food was. What more can you ask for?
I will definitely be using them again for my next event!

Wow. Taste of Pace really took our wedding from great to Extraordinary.
Three weeks have passed since the wedding, and our guests are still talking about those short ribs! People who usually ‘don’t eat the food at weddings’ were licking their plates.
From the minute my wife and I met Pace, we knew she was the one we wanted to work with. From her bubbly demeanor, extremely meticulous eye & taste for color, texture and presentation with food, as well as her amazing assistant, Marinelle and awesome leggings; T.O.P. knows how to put on an awesome party!
Coming from the catering industry, I set very high standards and after our first tasting, I realized her food was unparalleled to any of the other top caterers in this city, and we were in good hands. She is going to BLOW UP in Los Angeles, so if you are planning your next party — Book it NOW!

Taste of Pace catered our wedding in Palm Springs and we could not have made a better choice. My wife is a professional chef so many of our guests were foodies. I don’t think anything was complimented more than the food — the variety, preparation, presentation, service. Pace has a great staff in place which helped us with everything from the tasting to the rentals to final set and delivery. And she herself was involved and responsive the whole way. She is a wonderful chef with a very inventive menu that stood out from anything else we had tasted. I’ve had so many emails about the halibut ceviche and risotto cakes.
We opted for a passed food menu with a stationary small bites. Pace really delivered something special — a gorgeous crudite platter, sepia agnolotti, buttermilk fried chicken on broiche were among the other hits. But I don’t think there was one thing on the menu that was not complimented profusely. We were very, very happy.

As part of the USC Fisher Museum of Art staff, we had a wonderful service experience with Taste of Pace. We hired T.O.P. to cater our opening reception just last week and we could not have asked for better staff and food. This event was to cater 250 – 300 people. All of Pace’s staff were professional, fun, and efficient.
We had 5 different passed food options, along with bar service. Over the past few days, we have received so many positive emails on how delicious the food was.

I had purchased a gilt city voucher for a cooking class and also had my friend purchase one as well. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take the class because of severe morning sickness with my pregnancy and was put on bed rest. I was told in an email that I could reschedule at a better time. I called to set up that class now that I am able to attend and was told that they would no longer honor the voucher. Also, that the individual that told me I could reschedule no longer works there.
Pace the owner said I could pay the balance of the class but did not agree to let me reschedule with my voucher like I was told. So either I’m out $ 42 or pay an additional $ 43 to attend the class.
Im surprised that they couldn’t understand that it was a health issue and that I had a hard pregnancy that resulted in me not being able to attend the class within the time frame of the voucher.
I’m very disappointed in their response to this. Considering this was such a one off situation, and not a customer that was being negligent to book the class.

We hired Pace to cater a small dinner party. This review is for the catering service Pace offers, not the classes.
She was very flexible during the planning process and worked with us on the menu preferences we had. We thought the price was very reasonable and fair. We did not have any sense that she would try and over-​charge.
When the day arrived, I found she arrived nice and early, they took care of everything, including beautiful presentation of the hor’s d’eouvres. The food was to.die.for. Really. She and her assistant were on their game, friendly and interactive. They added to our party vibe because we could chat with them while they worked. And I realize now, they were *really tolerant* because the rest of us were drinking plenty of champagne. (Sorry Pace!)
The policy is, check/​cash payment in advance or pay the 3% credit card fee. Not a big deal if you still have checks and stamps as we do.
I would love for her to bring her classes to the Westside!!!
Overall — wonderful food, friendly service, down to earth communications. Will always call her first.

I came to one of her private communal dinner events and had a really great time. You bring some wine and you sit down for dinner hoping that you’ll get along with the people next to you. Pace is super cute! She always has a smile on her face and is very engaging. She brings the courses to you and explains each one. Although I didn’t find the food memorable I found the experience to be. Great time with wine flowing constantly and just laughter floating through the air. I’m so thankful for the people around me whom really made this experience something memorable. I would probably do it again more so for the company and good times than the food.

I got a Living Social voucher for Taste of Pace.
Because I am a vegetarian, I could only do the vegetarian class. I also have a busy work schedule, I cannot attend the weekday classes. With both of these prerq’s, I bought the voucher since the vegetarian class is on a Saturday.
Well — the vegetarian cooking class changed to a Tuesday, and I hadn’t used my voucher.
I emailed Taste of Pace, and they recommended the Farmer’s Market class, which focuses on produce, and just so happened to be mostly vegetarian.
Altogether, it worked out. I loved the class. The fact that it is not really recipe based is great! This really allows you to be able to use what you learn in the kitchen frequently, such as how to chop an onion properly, how to hold something as to not cut your fingers when cutting, how to pick items at a farmer’s market, etc.
The menu was great — I loved all the dishes. We made a shortcake, savory tart, soup, salad, pasta, and a quinoa dish. The instructor informed us you can make these dishes with anything! Depending on the season, these dishes are flexible, based on what you can get at the farmer’s market.
The kitchen the cooking class was held in was quite unique! Though in a shabby («industrial» is what they call it) area, the unit was impressive with beautiful décor (though it seemed like it was a work in process) and exposed brick and huge metal pipe running across roof of room. A very modern look.
The only negative things–
— It is difficult to get in touch with Taste of Pace via email and phone. Do not expect a quick response
— Taste of Pace employees are not in sync with instrcutors (I was told menu was vegetarian, but a few items had chicken stalk and easily could have been done with vegetable stalk)
— Not flexible with vouchers
— Difficult to book a class using a voucher online
— Little instruction while making dishes (completely hands on for students), but maybe more direction of where to go with the dishes
Updated to reflect following class I attended:
— Using utensils and kitchen tools that fell on the floor
— No state of the art equipment, in fact it’s exact opposite – old and not functionable
— Staff is not personable
— They are never in communication with each other and don’t seem prepared in advance (i.e. instructor said no meat items and there were)
— Wasted 20 minutes trying to get a non functionable item to work
— Is there a reason the assistant was making our dish for us?
— Assistant flaring hot oil
— Hair on plating dish
Not to mention, it’s been three weeks since my first class, and I still haven’t received the recipes I’ve been requesting for weeks!
Granted, half these reasons have to do with the Living Social deal, so if you’re booking without a voucher, you’ll be good to go. Unfortunately, I do not think I would pay $ 85 for this cooking class.
