I started going here because it’s very close to my work so conveniently I can get my nails and toes done on my lunch break. I have been going there for almost a year now and I love it so much. Aside from its location and convenience, the people there are terrific. They always remember me, they know me by name, and they always treat me really great and are very welcoming. Sometimes I need both of the nail ladies, Linda and Tina to do my Mani and pedisimultaneously to save time, they’re always really great about that. Linda and Tina are so incredible. First of all, they are hilarious, and secondly they really treat you well and do a great job on your nails and toes. I highly recommend this place.

I only came because of a Groupon (trap) for gel mani/​pedis, but I wish I only got 1 instead of 3. That was my bad.
Let me start by saying that Linda and Tina are very very sweet ladies. They did my nails every time and I did see progressive improvement with each visit.
The issues I had with TenTen were:
— Set up was not as nice as the pictures entailed. The foot spas are just buckets of water and you sit on regular, yet plush chairs
— Above mentioned chairs have tons of mini fibers that get on everything and into my gel. I had fossilized red fibers embedded in my polish
— Massages are little to none. These are my favorite parts of mani/pedi’s and they were non existent
— You have to be very proactive about what you want. I needed to remind them what services my groupon came with because the first time I went, I didn’t realize I missed out on the paraffin wax
I wanted to like this place so much, but unfortunately I could not.

SHOULD BE 3.5, BUT…
Been here twice to get my hair done (2 blowouts). The first blowout an older hispanic lady did for me. I was kinda hesitant to get my hair done by her honestly, because I wanted it done by the guy that works there, but I was in a hurry so I did it. I told her I wanted a curly blowout, and she did AMAZING work on me! The only time I got a blowout that good was when I spent twice the money on it! My hair is pretty unruly so it can get kinda fussy, but she did it in no time with the gorgeous light loose waves that I love, and she asked questions and was very accommodating.
The second time I went here (also kind of rushing) was with the guy I actually wanted. Told him I wanted a curly blowout as well, and expected the same type of treatment with my hair the lady used.
I’m not sure if he knew what a curl blowout was, but with all the one’s I’ve received in the past they’ve NEVER used a curling iron on my whole head (maybe some front pieces that were harder to get though.) He basically just blow dried my hair and then curled it. I HATE when people use curling irons on my hair, because I feel it causes unnecessary damage right on the follicle. Basically, the less heat the better! By the time he was done curling it I looked like a 15 year old going to my quince… Even after he raked his hands through my hair the waves were tighter than usual, and my hair was a bit frizzier than I would have liked. It was an important day, and I was not feeling my best after that (plus he wanted to charge an extra$ 10). I ended up going home and trying to tame my hair a little more.
I’ve since then learned how to do this blowout at home, but it’s just nice to be pampered like that at a salon. IF I ever go back I’ll make sure I have enough time, and just wait for the older lady. She was FIRE, and if I could go back I’d tip her at least 50%! Those young ones should learn a thing or two from her!

Great customer service. Very friendly staff who got me in on very short notice. Yuichi did a fantastic job!

Went in for a pedi based on the pictures from Unilocal (2 years ago apparently) of the mani/​pedi station and it definitely did not look like the pics I saw. Pretty dirty looking area sectioned off from the hair station with 3 dirty chairs and not the beautiful couch with pedi sinks according to the Unilocal picture.

Service: 4 stars. My girl, Tina, did a great job. Friendly, offered me a beverage, talkative but knew when to stop and my nails were pretty and not chipped. She gave me flip flops when I didn’t have any with me and was just super sweet. Not the best pedicure experience ever but for the Groupon price, I’ll take it.
Cleanliness/​environment: 2 stars. Dark, dirty and uncomfortable, the set up is definitely amateur and inconvenient. Magazines were all stacked in a wooden basket that you had to take out and sort through to get a magazine of your choice. There was an unorganized and limited nail polish selection (not arranged by color or brand – I’m an Essie brand and had to hunt for them) and 3 worn and dirty looking chairs. Also, no fan station to sit under afterwards to dry your polish so you have to awkwardly walk out with wet nails.

VALERIE, VALERIE, VALERIE! She was an amazing representation of her salon. I got a haircut from her for the 1^st time and she was so gracious, attentive (asking if I wanted any beverages. They serve tea, coffee, wine) and professional. You could tell that she took pride in her work. I needed to get a cut bad and she handled my hair with care. I already referred my sister to her. She got a cut and went back for color. I’m visiting Val again tomorrow to try out their spray tan fx airbrush. I’ll keep you posted!

I had the best experience with Valeria. For months I was looking for a hair stylist and she did not disappoint. She was able to cut my hairs the way I wanted and advise me what she see best for my hair cut. I love my new hair cut. I made an appointment to come back for a retouch.

I had such an amazing (first time btw) experience! Josh was so amazing and kind. He truly got to know me and he knows what makeup looked best for my face!
Yuichi was so great with my hair! I have really curly borderline nappy hair and he did an amazing job! Left me leaving gorgeous for my wedding!
I would definitely recommend them and I will be back!

This review is strictly for the nail salon since I have not used any of the other services at TenTen Salon & Spa. I’ve had long acrylic nails for the past two years but after going to some ghetto nail salon in Hollywood all my nails were ripping off and causing me a lot of pain. Needless to say I was nervous to try a new spot but Tina and Linda took great care of me. Tina carefully removed my acrylic nails with no pain at all and Linda took her time to give me the perfect manicure. I am so glad that I found my new nail place! I will be back!

Linda is the best! Came here with a group in deal to try out their mani pedi service and I’m very pleased! Everyone was extremely nice. Linda is probably the best nail lady I ever had in LA. She is very dedicated to make your nails perfect and without taking up too much time. She’s fast and efficient!
Definitely ask for Linda!

Probably one of the worst manicures I have ever had!
I came in yesterday and already have nail polish peeling off. No I didn’t even wash a dish. I spent the day getting pampered so I don’t know how I ended up with polish peeling. I knew that the manicurist had done a terrible job but I had another appointment I was running late for and had to go! I was really upset to step out into the light and see what sloppy raggedy edged nails I had. I think that the nail lady was more interested in talking to me and her coworker. No wonder! We laughed and joked but I should have known! Sometimes people cannot do two things at once! I guess this was the case. I am so unhappy with my nails I need to take off the polish. Won’t be coming back here anymore.

I drive almost 2 hours, and it is worth every mile!
When it comes to my hair I always get so scared but I knew coming to ten ten salon I wouldn’t be disappointed. It’s been almost 10 years since I’ve done anything to my hair, and I LOVED my natural Virgin hair but it was time for a change!
I’m so glad I came to Valerie cuz she did an amazing job and I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair, even from the people who were against me changing my hair color they are all in love with it! When it comes to cutting my hair I love how Valerie keeps my length long, but adds layers to bring some life and volume into it! I highly recommend coming here, they are all so nice, friendly and professional!

Update I came back again for a regular mani/​pedi. Got an appt very easily and receptionist super helpful. Linda did my feet and Linh did my mani. These ladies were super sweet and attentive. They did a fantastic job and even took time to let me nails dry before putting on the top coat. I had a great experience and can’t recommend them enough.
Tip #1: avoid weekends if you can because it’s super busy
Tip #2: There’s free parking in the lot across the street at 637 St. Paul Street.
Would definitely come back again and I even recommended this place to a friend.

First I’ll start by saying… I am really picky about how I like my hair & TenTen Salon is my GO-​TO salon!
CUT: Valerie, the owner is amazing with hair! I’m really crazy about keeping my hair long. Valerie listens to what you want. She always keeps my length, but cuts in in a way that it looks great if curl it, style it straight, or come out of the shower and just sleep on it! Even her own hair is always on point, that’s why I go to her! Lots of models, and beauty industry girls go to Val. She is absolutely fabulous!
DYE: I also had my hair dyed at TenTen by Alexia. She was great, very personable and fun to talk to. For color, I’m really simple and just keep my hair dark at all times for maintenance purposes… I like to keep my hair healthy. I love that TenTen uses all Aveda products which is 94% plant based. So whenever I leave TenTen, I don’t smell like Chemicals, and I know that a few weeks down the line my hair won’t be damaged from chemicals.
HAIRWASHING: Oh and as for the HAIR WASHING. This is worth a trip to the salon in itself! Val had Yuichi wash my hair. I was literally half asleep from the dying process. Yuichi brought me back to life! I think everytime I go, I will request him to wash my hair. He has magical fingers… The best head wash&rub I’ve had, and he massages your shoulders after too. I would definitely recommend him for a blow out, and make sure he washes your hair!!!
Aside from hair, they sell Aveda Salon products too. TenTen is a one stop shop for beauty. They do spray tans, facials, waxing, massages, and nails. They don’t have lamp tanning beds, because for the most part this salon is relatively green.
I highly recommend this salon for the entire LA area, or even if your from far away and just passing through. It’s worth the drive. In my case it’s worth the flight! I actually now live in Vancouver, and I come to LA just to have my hair cut. I haven’t found anyone better, and I’m tired of being disappointed in the process. Whatever you need done, TenTen can do for the fraction of the price of a Salon in Beverly Hills that has a 3 month waiting list.
It’s relatively easy to get a same week, or even same day appointment. But definitely make an appointment, because it gets busy!

I had a great experience getting a gel mani/​pedi here tonight with my mom using our groupons. When we arrived for our apt, three ladies were ready to work on us. Tina did my pedi and Lynn did my mani. They really took their time to thoroughly clean my nails before working on the color. The process took about 1.5 hours and I know they usually close at 8 but didn’t rush on us and we finished around 830. I did see a few small splotches of nailpolish on a few of my finger tips, but it really wasn’t a big deal for me since they came right off. I absolutely love my gel mani/​pedi and my mom loves her nails as well! I believe it was Lynn and Linda who worked on my mom. All the ladies were very cheerful and chatty, and even gave us some beauty tips! I really enjoyed our conversations with them!
Valerie, the owner, was very nice, and offered us water, tea and even wine while we were getting our nails done. We also got to chat with her mom and grandma who were hanging out in the nail area, and they were both very sweet. Good vibes all around! It was easy to call and make an appointment, although my initial appointment had to be rescheduled by the salon, which was a bit inconvenient for me at the time, but they were very accommodating in rescheduling me. There is also free parking across the street in the lot at 637 St. Paul Street.

I was skeptical of this salon after quickly scanning through what looked like hot-​cold-​hot-​cold reviews, but I had a great experience for my basic mani-​pedi. There’s a very good selection of OPI polishes (not so many essies, but I prefer OPI anyway), the ladies were cheery and chatty, and they definitely took their time to do an excellent job.
Street parking is easy after 6pm up the hill, and apparently there is also free parking in the structure across the street.

The sloppiest mani/​pedi I’ve ever received.
I made an appointment for 6:30PM, went in at 6:10 and had no problem being seen right away. Both ladies working on my feet and hands were nice and very sweet and very efficient; I was in and out in 45 minutes. That’s where the good stuff stops.
The «massage» was a joke — it was just someone rubbing lotion on my arms and legs. And my nails were fine but overall very sloppy. There is polish along the cuticles of my toenails, the edges are uneven on my fingernails and my toenail cuticles are still ragged. There were also random polish splotches on my hands. I had to spend at least 20 minutes cleaning my nails up at home.
I came here on a groupon and I would never come back.
