It’s a nice place. I ordered the seafood soup. It had a nice kick to it. The only bad part, it was more mushroom and tomato soup. The pad Thai was pretty good. Service, was OK.

My boyfriend and I tried this place yesterday for the first time. We ordered two Thai iced teas, chicken cashew, garlic beef and shrimp fried rice. And a side order of white steamed rice. The thai was good Chicken cashew was more like chicken fijitas. didn’t really care for it. The garlic beef was really good! And the shrimp fried rice was the best! I have been to a couple of Thai restaurants n I’ll admit that its the best I’ve had so far! The reason I rate only 3 stars is because our waitress was really no waitress at all. She took long to come take our order, took long to deliver our food.(i dont know why ! It was dead inside) Never brought us our white steamed rice, but yet she remembered to charge us for it on our bill. Never asked how the food was or if we needed anything. She would ignore us when we had requested two glasses of ice water, and It took us three times to ask for it where she finally heard us and took forever to bring it out. Its really a bummer when the food is delicious but the service is horrible. Will I be returning again? Probably yes but not soon .and really hope that when I do we have a way better waitress.

This is probably the best Thai place I’ve ever been to, for its price. The restaurant has a home like feel and the workers are fantastic. They will make sure you are in good care. The food is amazing It really is a hidden gem!!!

Order here 1 time Togo. I order pad Thai and pineapple fried rice. Man was I wrong for ordering here. The rice was very very wet! They put too much oil on it. The pad Thi doesn’t taste like pad thai. I don’t know how u can mess that up but never again!!!

Visited this location two and ordered the same exact thing: beef pad see ew and shrimp om yum soup. The first visit, was with my bf. For a large shrimp tom yum, it’s about $ 9. The pot was smaller than what i’m used to but the soup was declicious and had generous portions of shrimp and mushrooms. The pad see ew was very oily and greasy. It was good but I felt sluggish after eating it. I enjoyed my visit there but my bf was not a fan. The second time, my co-worker wanted thai. We went for this place because the thai place close to us, Arunee, was $ 2 – 3 more for the items we wanted. Once again, I ordered the same thing. The pad see ew’s to-go portion was small but filled us up. the tom yum soup was SUPER spicy but we loved it. I would definitely come back to this thai place, but it’s not my favorite; it suffices.

The Tom Kha Kai was delicious, but the yellow curry was plain and a bit too sweet and then… I found a hair in it. Service was slow, but they were really nice. Might come back for the Tom Kha, though. And they took the curry off the check.

I guess I have high standards when going to Thai places and this place was below average. Reason being was the after taste of the water(guess it’s not filtered) and the aftertaste of some of the vegetables in my red curry. It was also not as spicy as I like. They had regular rice not jasmine which was also a disappointment. I paid $ 20 including tip and I would’ve preferred to pay $ 12 for what I got. The best part were the egg rolls and hopefully some other of their dishes can beat the red curry.

Came here for dinner with friends for a second time and the food was delicious. This place is a hidden gem. Three of us ate family style, best way to eat a place like this. We shared veggie won tons, pan-namg curry(the best thing!), spicy fried rice(not spicy enough) and some pad seeyou(sp?) We were the only ones in the restaurant so it was a bit off that we waited a while for our order to be taken. Food was quick to come out.

Started off with the Steamed Dumplings, don’t regret it one bit. They were moist and tasty. Pineapple Fried Rice was magnificent! Great flavor. Shrimp Pad See Ew was also off the hook! They’re always fun to eat. Especially when they’re this tasty. I live a block away so next time im hungry at home I’ll definitely give EastWind a phone call :)

Didn’t bring lunch one day and decided to try this place since its next to my work. It has a great atmosphere and a average size restaurant. I’ve only tried 2 dishes but so far my favorite is the Thai cashew chicken with rice(if you like peppers in your food) If you go lunch it’s in the lunch special for $ 6.50. It comes with rice and salad and if you dine in it comes with the soup as well. The flavors are on point not too spicy and not too salty. Just the way I like it. Service was excellent. I’ve never dined in but the to go order was quick and easy. I called in to order and it takes me about 5 minutes to walk over, the order was already prepared and ready for me. Should definitely try it if you’re in the area :)

The food here is so fresh and so good. My BFF and I stumbled upon this place. It’s very cozy. We fell in love with the place. It’s very homey. We even loved the music so much we had to look up the artist(Sabrina Orial) The whole time we just kept saying how much we loved the food and just how nice the place felt. I think the only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star is we would’ve liked to have been checked on a lil more. But she was a sweet lady.

Food is excellent, the place is super cute, and the people who run it are incredibly friendly. I’ve only eaten here once so far, but it was amazingly good. It’s now in the running for my new favorite Thai spot in LA. I’ll let you know after I eat there 9 or 10 more times if it’s official.

Lunch today was an unmitigated disaster. My friends, colleagues and I were attending a training nearby and had exactly one hour for lunch. Our food, such as it was, arrived forty minutes after we ordered. When it finally made it to table, my dish was so heavily salted that it seemed as if the salt shaker lid had fallen off during cooking. The rice could have been Minute Rice for all the flavor it held. The Thai iced coffee had a bizarre taste, not like any Thai iced coffee I’d ever had. And there were flies. Need I say more?

Finally found great Thai food and I didn’t have to spend an arm and a leg! Got an order of pad see ew with beef, spicy fried rice with beef and egg rolls to go. Took it home and was pleasantly surprised! Egg rolls were really good and crispy. Pad see ew had tons of broccoli and greens… not just a bunch of mushy noodles. Spicy fried rice was excellent and there was tons of it! Would like it a little spicier but still awesome. Only paid $ 26 for everything. Much cheaper than expected. The restaurant itself is really cool. Nice décor. Not a crappy hole in the wall. Can’t wait to go back!

I came here on a Friday night about an hour before closing and was skeptical about how well we were going to be received. Well, it was my bad, because just as I’d expected, we felt kind of rushed. Seriously though, this place closes at 9pm on a weekend? Bummer. Anyway, I ordered the tofu panang and was thinking, there’s no way it’s going to compare to my favorite thai place. I was wrong. Finger lickin’ good! They add a whole mess of veggies into the mix — peas, bell peppers, celery, kale and cabbage. Yum! The egg rolls were kind of «meh» because they were a bit on the plain side. The sweet sauce was actually their only saving grace. That, and I was starving by the time we got there. As far as the service went, I’ve had better. Don’t get me wrong, the lady who took our order had a smile on, but like I said, we felt rushed and I could feel she was annoyed. I wanted to wait inside for our taxi since it was cold out, but I honestly didn’t feel comfortable with the vibe from service. No kidding, as soon as our feet stepped onto the sidewalk, they shut the doors behind us, locked up and turned the lights off. By the way, it’s not in the safest area… I would have probably bumped it up a star if it weren’t for the service.

A sunday night and there was only one other customer in the place. We sat ourselves down and it wasnt until the phone rang 1 min later when we finally had someone come up to us. When he took our order he said that he was the cook and didn’t typically take orders. I’ll take it as a form of apology. A lady served us the food and she apparently was doing a delivery and was the reason for no one being at the front. ordered: thai ice tea, pad prik king with beef; tom yum goong; and basil chicken noodle. the spice level for the entrees were accurate to what i ordered and expected from a thai restaurant. They initially made a mistake and brought the basil chicken alone without noodles but they were not hesitant to take it back and get it fixed. It all tasted great with good meats. the restroom to the place is upstairs and I do not think there is an elevator so basically it is not wheelchair friendly just FYI

nice folks… good service… good portions… tasty. Then, I woke up the next morning with dry mouth, dizzy, and a dull headache akin to groggyness… symptomatic of dreaded MSG in my system. Yup… this place seasons their food with MSGUNLESS you tell them otherwise… so be fairly warned. Other than that, it’s alright!

Thieves! I order food over the phone and two hours later the driver arrives with cold food. After I paid the bill, which seemed abnormally high, I looked at there menu prices online a quickly find out i was overcharged $ 16.27 on the order. I call them and they acknowledge that the driver overcharged me and they tell me he is on his was back to my apartment and will call me when he gets there. I tell them the food arrived cold, 2 hours late, and I was drastically overcharged. At this point i wanted to give them all the food back(uneaten) for a refund when the driver returned my change. They agreed and said the driver would be on his way. I repackage all the food and let it sit for another hour. An hour later the driver calls and says he is already home and cannot return my change or pick up the food. He apologized and convinces me to keep the food by offering a $ 24 credit on my next order. He assures me it will be in the system next time i call and there will not be a problem. I realize mistakes happen so i agree, but I paid in cash so I didn’t really have a choice. I call back a week later and talk to Diana. She tells me it is not in the system and that there is no manager available to talk to and that I will not be getting any credit. So in summary they blatantly ripped me off $ 16.27 and for the money I spent I got cold food that resembled a condensed pile of soup. The food that did arrive must have been left out for well over an hour. Stay away and avoid the headache, there are plenty of good thai options and this is not one of them. These people literally stole my money, the driver was likely trying to scam his way into a bigger tip after arriving over 2 hours after the order was called in.

This is a great little neighborhood restaurant at the east end of Korea Town. The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous, the price very affordable and the flavors were excellent. I had the lunch special of basil chicken, lightly spicy as I requested. It came with a spinach soup which was filled with vegetables. My friend and I split the chicken dumplings and all but licked the bowl of the dipping sauce. The service was good and the ambiance very pleasant. It’s a cute little place. There was a bit of challenge finding a parking spot but we did get one very close. It was worth it. Delicious Thai food.
