Thai Silk Express

Was not impressed. Placed an order to go and got yellow curry with chicken and pad thai. Two classic thai dishes that were sub-​par. The chicken in the curry was dry and difficult to chew. The flavor of the curry wasn’t bad, but the chunks of potato were massive and I had to keep breaking it into smaller pieces to take a bite. The pad thai was average. It had all the essential ingredients, just not done very well. I would not order from here again.

This has to be the most amazing Thai spot I’ve ever had! Speedy delivery! I ordered the coconut soup and chicken larb so much flavor!

I like this food It has fresh vegetables and my hold family like it! Fast delivery ! I have order other places and I’m adding this one to one of my favorite !

This place has the best green curry I’ve ever had. It’s one of those dishes where you can’t come up with an appropriate description of how good it tastes, so, between bites, all you can say «this is like fucking crack.»
Also got the pineapple fried rice. I haven’t had a fried rice I enjoyed this much since I was a kid.

The shrimp wonton soup was great the pineapple shrimp rice was amazing
Was not satisfied with the orange chicken tasted over cooked and barely got a taste of the chicken meat overall great place great service

Enough for two meals if you get some rice on the side. Downside is you have to order rice on the side for an additional charge.
It’s good, the potatoes are cooked perfectly, but I feel it’s missing something.
Red curry — 5 stars
It’s my favorite! I’ve ordered this 4+ times. Curry is creamy and perfect. The bamboo is a perfect texture and the bell peppers add a nice crunch. I order this with medium spice and it’s fantastic. Enough for 2 meals… Read the end of yellow curry review.
Delivery is always fast and they are always sweet. They package it so well! Everything stays put which is important if your handling to-​go soup containers. Pick up is smooth.

Service was good, prices fair and the food was good. We split a Panang curry, Pad Thai and Pad See Ew.
I thought the Pad Thai was the best but all were good. Every Thai restaurant has their own take on Pad Thai — not good or bad, just different. Same for other dishes I guess so if you find one with quality ingredients then narrow down to the one that makes the style you favor most.

The fried tofu is my favorite, perfect when dipped into the delicious sweet and sour sauce.

Just got my Pineapple Fried Rice & Chicken Satay delivered. It’s my first time ordering from here but I won’t be the last! Everything is SO DELICIOUS!!!

Giving this place 4 stars. I just placed an order for delivery I loved the Thai ice tea. Ordered the spicy green beans with chicken and fried rice with chicken. Both plates were hot and the taste was pretty good. Everything was tightly closed, no spills. I will def order from here again.

I love this Thai place… we ordered from here for our company lunch and they never let us down! Totally recommend this to everyone I know! :) Owner and wife are so sweet!

I’ve been coming here for a few years since moving to DTLA. It’s close to home. And I get delivery a lot too.
Food is delicious. Affordable.
Everyone is super friendly, delivers quick, no complaints.
My favorites are the soups, greens beans and papaya salad. Their egg rolls and spring rolls are good too.

I love their soups and curries. I have never dined in but always order delivery.

My co-​workers and I have been ordering from this particular location for over a year, and until recently everything was fine. However, our last experience with them has left us very unhappy and unfortunately they have lost loyal customers.
1. Unannounced to us a $ 3 service charge is now added to all bills regardless if you are within the 3 mile delivery radius. They really should change the «free delivery within 3 miles and $ 15 order» advertisement on their brochure.
2. When we called to place the order, they asked if we wanted them to use the card on file. Wait a minute, who authorized them to keep a card on file? This has never been brought to our attention, and quite frankly it scares me that they are sensitive and personal information like that on file without your consent or knowledge.
3. A free thai iced tea was promised to us on the phone but somehow didn’t end up in our bag with the delivery guy.
4. Food portions have shrunk, and the quality of food is mediocre at best.
We will definitely be ordering from a different Thai restaurant from now on. This place has gone down hill and no longer deserves our patronage.

I freaking love this place. Me and boyfriend eat here a couple times a month at least, since we live pretty close. We love the Tom Kha coconut soup and the chicken satay :)

Great Thai food, but my complain is, don’t say delivering is FREE when is NOT ! You charge, and I’m not complaining of how much they charge, I’m complaining because they lied! And then the lady says she understands and speaks English yet she could understand when I said whittier really !!!.

The worst thai food I’ve ever had. I ordered teriyaki chicken and baby corn and mushrooms chicken for delivery. Teriyaki chicken didn’t even have teriyaki sauce on there to start with. It tasted as if the chicken was boiled in water and then served to me smh. The baby corn and mushrooms chicken was cooked just the same way but with veggies added to it. The most horrible food ever. When they delivered it, they forgot my brown rice I had ordered with it. Bad experience and bad food. Never will eat here again.
