One big thing: Parking here sucks, it’s either street or you park in the 45MINUTE free w/VALIDATED ticket garage. Don’t go over 45 minutes or fear the wrath of the parking fees. I live at Tuscany so for me this is a convenient location. If I wasn’t able to walk here I’d honestly never visit this place because Figueroa makes me want to cry of stress. I commend anyone who actually drives to this location and attempts to park. I’ve come here quite often… which is probably not a good thing. I’ve usually gone for a jalapeño cheese bagel(yuuuum) and a chai tea latte of some sort. I’ve also tried the mocha ice blended and the blueberry vanilla ice blended. I’m no coffee expert but I’ve been satisfied. I don’t sip my drink and think it’s awful, but I also don’t usually have any specific requests to change anything so my expectations are basically 0. The service for me personally has always been friendly. I’ve never had a bad experience with the staff members and for the most part they’ve actually been really friend. I study out in the courtyard and I usually bring a jacket because unless it’s summer this area gets pretty chilly pretty quick. Only con compared to SB is that starbucks always has food items even late at night, which I’ve found convenient when nothing else is open. Coffee bean only keeps pastries in stock and they’re all gone by the time it gets dark.

Now I remember why I stopped coming here a few years ago. The service is horrible. The workers are more interested in hanging out with each other and being chatty than getting the customers drink order right. This is why I live around the corner and pass this place everyday to go to the Starbucks up the street or Philz downtown.

Our drinks were made right, but I was unimpressed with the cleanliness of the tables; they were strewn about, had some sticky spots, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The coffee bar was also low on a few things. This was in the middle of a lazy Saturday afternoon, where there weren’t too many customers. The staff wasn’t unfriendly, but seemed to not really want to be there. A pretty average visit. I’d definitely go back, because I like the brand and their quality is great, but I was expecting a little bit more.

There are two Coffee beans on campus at USC: this is the one in the tutor center with CPK, Panda Express, etc. I order a regular iced coffee, easy on the ice. I never get easy on the ice: the cup is over halfway full with ice every time. I drink the coffee in four or five sips, and am left with overpriced, highly refrigerated water. Despite using variations of «easy on the ice,» «light ice,» and«NOTASMUCHICETHISTIMEPLEASE,» the employees either do not understand or do not care about making my coffee the way I’ve asked over and over. The Starbucks off campus makes my coffee exactly as I want, and it’s cheaper, but is half a mile out of my way in the morning. I gave this location an extra star because the ice-blended smoothies are actually pretty good. Just don’t try to order iced coffee here.

Do not park in the paid lot here. I ended up paying $ 20 for a 90 minute visit. Makes for a very bitter, very expensive cup of coffee.

Is a nice place but the supervisor Fernando is really rude, I came in to ask for some Tea and they sold it to me but when I got a table they they just kicked me out because I was eating a sandwich from another business, I’ve been a frequent a loyal customer to coffee bean but since then they just disappointed me.

Coffee Bean is an ubiquitous coffee chain around the area, but definitely a step up from other corporate chains like Starbucks, both in terms of flavor of coffee and variety of options. The tea selection alone is large and intriguing. The vanilla ceylon black tea is a personal favorite. What really sets this particular location apart is that phenomenal courtyard out front. Tons of shaded seats surround a beautiful fountain that provides the perfect backdrop for your studying/working/visiting/whatever. While in town, I especially loved bringing my work here for a couple hours. The sound of falling water is great. If you’re sticking indoors, they also do a very good job surrounding the place with outlets. Weird memory/suggestion for them, which is to start offering horchata. The horchatte has become a minor hit at some locally owned coffeshops, and I loved getting a double espresso here and dropping it in a large horchata from the el pollo loco down the street. I always felt ridiculous doing it, but it’s deliciousness will take you away on a mystical journey to another planet. Final notes: there is limited(but adequate) street parking available behind the building(it’s built on the ground floor of an apartment complex). It’s located kitty corner from the South edge of the USC campus. Great spot.

*** Pit stop review(Los Angeles)*** I’ve been here several times when working in the area but never reviewed the place. This Coffee Bean Location is a decent place to pick up your morning coffee and pastry. It has the same feel as any other coffee house. The coffee is good and there are some seats both inside and outside to relax. This location can get very busy because of the local businesses, SC campus nearby, and I think SC apartment housing upstairs. Just avoid the major rush hour times for coffee and you’ll be just fine. Food = good Seating area = clean Service = friendly Restroom = clean

This review is more for the location/store than the drinks since I usually only get black coffee. If you’re looking for a quiet place to study or read or chill out I would recommend this place on the weekdays and Saturday since Sundays can get pretty busy during the day. There’s a Starbucks down the street but go here if you’re looking for a more low key place to go for coffee. There are only two outlets that are available so try your luck at getting them. Seats along the windows inside aren’t the most comfortable so try to snag the big cushiony ones in the corner. Also, their iced coffees are not the greatest.

This location is at the bottom of an apartment complex and the parking situation is annoying since you have to go around the back way, make a huge loop to enter a garage with an awkward space to park. Enough, just park on the street(metered). Apparently unlike other locations, they welcome my phone order and other locations act«surprised» and dumb cause isn’t that a good idea anyway? A million starts for this location for being extramly helpful. A barista by the name of… De La Santos? She is always nice no matter the time of day and how busy she is. She makes my Ice Vanilla Latte perfect and she presents such an enthusiatic attitude, a million stars for her. Typically if there is a long line, the a. m weekend team knocks it out really quick. I never had a problem here, not that I look for trouble. But I will continue to be an avid frequent here. P. s.I avoid all that carb section cause personally, I think it’s over priced !

I came with my sister and family friend. The service was excellent! After I ordered my complicated drink I realized I ordered it too strong … The employee Gussy took my drink back with pleasure not only sweeting it but put an extra touch of whip cream and Carmel! Small gesture but meant all the world to walk away with a drink made to perfection! thanks #GUSSY

Yum… so much better than Starbucks. My drink of choice is the pomegranate blueberry tea latte, it’s so good. This location is a good one. It has a pretty large patio with plenty of seating. The parking kind of sucks, considering most people get coffee in the a.m. You can’t park on Figueroa before 8 a.m. Well, I didn’t have time to search for parking and it was 7:46ish so I parked in one of the forbidden spaces right in front. I also didn’t know there was a parking lot. I was out in about 7 minutes. I am grateful to say that the universe was on my side because I dodged a ticket by a minute. Parking enforcement literally pulled up as I got into my car. Thank you universe! !!! Don’t park on Figueroa before 8 a.m., you dont want to risk it haha.

Bottom line at the top: sloOoOw, and the coffee isn’t even good! do not come here in the morning before you have an exam! – They have good hours and are working on offering more breakfast/lunch type varieties, but I simply can’t get over how slow this is! They repeat your order 100 times even though it’s correct every time. Then they don’t call you out by name(even though they ask for it?), but rather by the drink name, which wastes even more time because people are arguing over who had what/came first etc. Desperate times call for desperate measures but still.No.
