Cramped uncomfortable seating, no parking. I wasn’t familiar with the area and arrived 20 minutes before showtime to look for parking. Even the $ 8 valet a few doors down didn’t have space for cars to pull in. I was finally able to get valet to take my car and made it inside 10 minutes past stated curtain time and they were thankfully still seating. However, it was so cramped that people were alternating sitting forward and backward in their chairs. I just walked out. I wish I knew this before purchasing my ticket to Avenue Q. Unless you have an in with the parking gods, take Über, or other modes of public transportation, I would not recommend going to any of the businesses on Magnolia Blvd near Vineland Ave — unless you park in the Ralph’s parking lot across the street which is what the theater folks told me when I finally made it in. Having had my car towed before for doing something similar, I wouldn’t take the chance. This first time mistake cost me over $ 40 with the cost of valet. There won’t be a second time.

Holy cow! Talk about an upgrade! The Cupcake Theater in Hollywood did a great job of distracting you from the uncomfortable seats and lack of bathrooms by putting on fantastic shows. HOWEVER, the Cupcake Theater in the North Hollywood Arts District is hands down one of the most beautiful spaces I have ever seen! There’s an outstanding lounge/lobby area for the patrons of the theater to enjoy some pre-show concessions and mingle, plenty of bathrooms, a storefront dance studio space, and the actual stage is TODIEFOR!!! It is so spacious and the seats are beautiful and comfy! Parking is easy — tons of space on the street, and valet if you feel fancy.

Love the new space! I saw a preview of their production of Avenue Q last light, the stage is amazing and the actors are extraordinary!
