The Pet Concierge

Melissa has been a blessing for my girlfriend and me. We have a shy skittish 9 year old Yorkie and leave town every other weekend. We needed to find someone who would pay extra care to making Reno comfortable and encouraging her to eat. Reno instantly gravitated towards Melissa. It is such a relief knowing that we can leave our pup with someone who will care for her like her own dog. Melissa truly loves dogs.

I love this place! Such a pet friendly atmosphere and the lady who owns it loves dogs and is really concerned about their well being! I took my dog here because I need a quick sit and had no worries. I don’t mind leaving my dog at this place, trusting and sincere business dog lover.

By the end of my story, that I will share, I hope it encourages you to utilize the absolutely GREAT service.
During 2010, I was deploying to Iraq for 18 months and I was totally stressed out (the deployment being a huge factor) but also I didn’t know where or what I was going to do with my dog for an entire year. Thank God, I was linked up with Melissa and The Pet Concierge three weeks before my deployment.
We met two weeks before my deployment and my dog (Bourqx) fell in love with her and it seemed the feelings were mutual. At that point, I knew my dog was gonna be in great hands while I was abroad for nearly two years. Has your pet ever Skyped you? My dog surely did while I was in Iraq (with the help of Melissa, of course). He even has his own Facebook account now.
Bourqx’s behavior was a bit deplorable prior to me leaving; but upon my return he was a well-​trained and obedient pet.
This is the best service that I have received and I recommend this service to anyone that wants their pet in the best hands possible.

This was my first time using someone other than friends/​family to check in on our kitties while we were away on vacation, and I am so glad that I found Melissa, the Pet Concierge! I was nervous about having a «stranger» in my house, but Melissa immediately put my mind at ease. She is very friendly, thoughtful and professional and seems to love what she does. After our initial meeting I felt completely comfortable leaving my girls in her capable hands. Her prices are very reasonable and I would not hesitate to recommend her or use her again — she was great!

What a great find! I felt completely comfortable leaving my two dogs with her when we went off for the weekend. We’d never left them with anyone but friends in years past, but everyone was busy that weekend so I turned the internet. Read the reviews on Unilocal and Angie’s List, and decided to see if she was available. She was, and when I met her (bringing the dogs along) I knew I would have no qualms leaving them with her. A great sign when I went to drop them off was that both of them ran right for her gate as if they knew where they were going. She texted us photos of them while we were out of town and was very flexible with times and very reasonably priced for a no-​kennel, no-​cage service. Can’t recommend her enough!

Melissa of the Pet Concierge is AMAZING. I will never use any other service, as I don’t even think they can come close to the quality of care she provides! She is awesome with our cats. I have a «high maintenance» cat who is basically a jerk, and she is so nice to put up with him and play with him at every visit! She is super organized when arranging schedules, and even does nice things like bring in the mail, without even being asked. The best is when she texts pictures of the cats when I go away, which really puts my mind at ease so I can see they are ok! She is fantastic and affordable and I highly recommend her to everyone. I really can’t say enough good things about her.

Melissa, the Pet Concierge, is fantastic! She made leaving town for the weekend so much easier since we didn’t have to worry about our kitten. We felt comfortable inviting her to our home, and confident she would give our pet the best care possible. I particularly like how well organized she was, and she even has checklists to document our care routine so she can easily replicate it. The service was so affordable, and she even texted us a photo of her visit. We will definitely be calling Melissa the next time we go out of town.

We have had The Pet concierge visit and walk our dog for a couple of years now, so she is definitely part of our family. Needless to say, we are utterly relieved and thrilled with her and her services. She is trustworthy and dependable. She is keenly observant of our dog’s behavior, as well as very generous about doing tasks for us «people» i.e., bringing in the mail, sending us pictures and texts from the walks, etc. Her services include taking/​retrieving your pet from the vet! She keeps us informed about schedule, and she texts, emails, or leaves a note if there is some behavior or health concern, or even just when there’s something cute/​funny to report. We had a pretty bad roof leak one day; she called me immediately, shut down my computer (which was sitting right under the leak), moved it, and put out buckets and towels. She also waited with the dog until I got home from work to deal with the emergency! Talk about above and beyond the call of duty.
The most important thing — our dog loves her. He was a «rescue» that came to us with a few issues, and with her love of animals and training skills, he is much more secure and calm. She has gained his trust and ours!
