History

Established in 2007.

We are two sisters, Samaria and Lacey. We have been documenting happy couples and families for 7 years. Growing up with a photographer Dad and a crazy artist Mom, it only made sense for us to study and go into something creative. We photograph film and digital images of every event we document, and enjoy seeing our photos making people happy.

I have a Bachelors in Media Art, with an emphasis in camera geekery (Film/​Video Production.) I work with an awesome team of photo and video ninjas that capture real, natural, images of fun and creative people.

We were visiting Los Angeles from Denmark and wanted to find a photographer who could take some family photos of us.
We found Samm through Unilocal and this was our great luck. She was/​is amazing and very very kind. Our daughter is very shy but Samm managed to get her to relax and was able to shoot some awesome photos of her.
Samm had lots of great ideas to where we could get some nice backgrounds in.
We are VERY pleased with the results and can’t wait to have a 2×4 meter family photo made into wallpaper for our hallways.
We can recommend her to anyone looking for a GREAT photographer!!!

My husband and I had a very low key wedding on July 5th.
Samaria was so accomodating, friendly and easy to talk to.
I felt very comfortable around her and i loved that she did not fully ‘dictate’ or
tell me what to do or how to act for my photos, she really captured special moments which i will cherish for life. My husband and I are very happy!
Her sweet and fun attitude is awesome and i would love to use her again.

We hired these two a couple of years ago for our wedding and they were fantastic! I was just going through the photos and remembered I hadn’t Unilocaled them yet, so here it is. My wife and I were married on Halloween and had a masquerade ball themed wedding. Sam and Nick truly captured the spirit of the moment in their shots. They were so creative, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The fact that you get them all day is a great bonus, and they even gave us a little print when they dropped off the disc that we framed and have up in the house! If you are even thinking about hiring photographers, look no further.

It was really important to my husband and I to have an intimate wedding. We hired Samm and she fit in like she was part of the family! The photo’s she took were UNBELIEVABLE!!! I get complements on them all the time! Not only that but they were affordable!!! Oh, and just to add a cherry on top, she was in contact with us frequently and gave us little photo sneak peaks as they were ready after our wedding! Unlike most photographers who you don’t hear from for months after the wedding, Samm had samples ready within a week!!! She is such a talented and artistic photographer! I could not be happier to have had her there on my special day. The photos from my wedding are everything and more I could have ever hoped for!!! You will not be disappointed if you hire her for any of your special occasions!

The Sprouting Image is as good as it gets. I was getting sick of all these photographers who charge way to much for their pictures. Samm was willing to work around our schedule and at no time seemed concerned about how long it was taking. She just wanted good shots. Had creative ideas and was open to our suggestions. At no time did it feel awkward as it had in the past with some other photographers. The pictures of our family looked amazing, then again she had some pretty attractive subjects :) She also broke out the Holga film camera and got some great shots. Even after the shoot, her work didn’t stop. She was working through the pictures putting some great touches on them and communicated with us during every step. We received our CD in no time and she even threw in a cute tee-​shirt for our little guy. So to keep this short, Yes Samm is good, Yes Nick is good (never actually met him, but have seen their web site), and Yes The Sprouting Image is Great.

We have had the pleasure of having Samm photograph our family twice now. She is absolutely amazing. So energetic, sweet, and our kids LOVE her (so do we)! They are so much more affordable than other photographers, and so much more personal. So quick with the editing, and we got our sneak peek and pictures the week after our session.
She captured the most amazing candid moments, and it’s almost impossible to pick the photos you want to hang in your house. You can tell that she truly loves what she’s doing, and her photos reflect that.

I had these guys do my wedding and i could not have been more happy, They both were so amazing. The day of my wedding it was raining all day, but some how we got amazing shots! Nick and Sam were So nice, I felt so comfortable with them, and i am a very shy person. They had wonderful idea’s and my husband and i are so thankful we went with them! Our house has wedding pictures everywhere. The Photos are one of the most important things of the wedding. I highly recommend them! Great Price and Great people!!!
