History

Established in 2010.

In 2010, Ryan Heffington finally responded to friends and strangers who were inspired by the numerous dance productions we were presenting around Los Angeles and asked «Is there a beginning class you could recommend?» — «I want to get back into dance again, any advice?» People simply wanted to dance. It was then that Ryan started teaching dance classes early in the evenings at his monthly dance club. It was during this time that Ryan promised himself he would start a dance class for everyone.

May 25, 2008: Sweaty Sundays was born.

Today classes are filled with grandmothers, rockstars, professional dancers, fathers, bakers, bikers, directors, choreographers, therapists, 9−5ers, artists, trainers, healers, and lovers of dance. The Sweat Spot is a safe place to expand your physical being, vibrate on a higher level, and just rock out. It bridges the gap between the dance club, the gym, and church. Amen
