I had purchased a deal through Living Social a couple months ago. Fast forward to Halloween week, I wanted to bring goodies to my son’s Halloween party. I called the number on the deal, and was able to speak to the owner directly. Made my order and was guaranteed to have it ready the next morning.
The day of pick up was an ease. She gave me an option to have it personally delivered but I didn’t want to be an inconvenience. Picked up my order. Gave me exactly as described and my son’s class were satisfied. It was a hit! I cannot wait to purchase more in the future. I’m so glad this business was introduced to me.

After a really bad experience trying to order from Beth’s Cake Pops in Culver City. I chose to get my baby shower desserts from The Sweet Life.
I ordered Heathers cake pops, chocolate covered rice crispy treats, pretzels and strawberry’s. I gave heather the colors of my baby shower and she matched all of the desserts perfectly to my theme and they all had their own individual look. The cake pops and rice crispy treats were both individually wrapped and had their own stick. The presentation was so nice.
The cake pops were moist and delicious! I wish I would have ordered more. The other desserts were amazing too! I had nothing left since my guests devoured everything, thankfully, my sister managed to stash a few items away for me:)
Heather also delivered everything directly to my event location for a mere ten dollars. Well worth it.
I would definitely recommend The Sweet Life if your catering a large themed event and you want all the desserts to flow together!

Well, I actually had forgot to do a review, but since Heather e-​mailed me to follow up about it then I had to tell you guys the truth. I don’t like to bash companies, but what I’m about to share is the facts. I brought this deal on Groupon, which I love for introducing me to new businesses at a discount, but even in this situation the low price didn’t help. First off, I called to place my order and did not get an answer when I called on a Friday, which is fine. But when Heather returned my call it was about 7:30/8am on a Sunday. Now, I work crazy hours and my weekends are all I have to sleep in. So my phone ringing that early was not a treat. But I was willing to let that go.
Secondly, Heather said she’d be at my place between 10am — 12pm, which was fine because my event started at 1pm. Unfortunately, she didn’t arrive until almost 1pm without a phone call to say she’d be late or even an apology upon arrival. So if you do decide to order with them, then say that your event is at least 2 hours earlier, then it really is, just so you can hopefully get your order on time. I think that in an attempt to make up for the tardiness, and seeing me so busy with my guests and putting the finishing touches on everything, Heather offered to lay out the cupcakes on a tray that I had ready and waiting for them. So again, I was willing to let that go as long as what I ordered tasted amazing.
Lastly, here’s where we have the real problem. I ordered four dozen mini cupcakes in flavors, lemon, red velvet, cookies and cream, and strawberry. The group at this event is a sweets-​loving bunch, and when I tell you I had so many cupcakes left, it was ridiculous. Those cupcakes did not taste good. When I feel as if I can make a better tasting dessert, then that’s a problem. I usually do make the desserts for my own events, but I used this service hoping it would be one less thing that I had to take care of. Though Heather was accommodating by throwing in four chocolate covered strawberries without charging me extra, it does not change the fact that those cupcakes were not tasty. It’s been two weeks, and we still have cupcakes left. None of the guests ask to take any home, and we don’t even want to have the kids eat them. Again, I want businesses to succeed, but I have to tell the truth and I just cannot recommend this place.

So I needed cupcakes for my daughters birthday to take to her classmates and I’m always last minute. I called Heather to see if she can whip something up in 4 hrs, and thank you Jesus she did. The kids loved em. Price was more than reasonable. Also so convenient. Thanks Heather.

Very professional, and the desserts tasted amazing, I loved the peach cobbler shooter’s, you could tell they were made from scratch, it was my event so I didn’t get to taste any of the others but I haven’t heard any complaints, her desserts complimented my table very well, thank you Heather

So glad I found The Sweet Life! Heather’s cake pops weren’t just cute they were really good, too! Moist and not too sweet! They were the first thing gone from the candy bar! (I should’ve ordered more) but I definitely recommend The Sweet Life! Thank you so much!

I found out about Heather through a deal I found on Groupon. I was throwing a birthday party for my nephew on 4^th of July. The theme was «outer space» (e.g., planets, rocketships, robots) and red, white, and pale blues. I let Heather know that I wanted this color scheme for a 2 dozen order of cake pops. I went with blue velvet with red coating and red velvet with blue coating as my flavors– both were DELICIOUS. Heather was not only attentive in the ordering process but was super helpful in deciding how to display them as well. I would use the Sweet Life again with no reservations.

Heather is such an amazing barker! I have just discover her a few weeks ago! And ordered twice and I have not been disappointed !!! She is so amazing and talented, not to mention! Omg, her baking is on point everything we ordered so far has been on point! I’m not even from la, but when ever I make the trip there I will most
order from her she’s just that amazing! If you haven’t tried. It doesn’t her to do so! Promise she won’t disappoint! And her service is more than a 5 star! She’s so sweet and friendly also! I wish I can give more stars cause this lady’s amazing and talented!
Red velvet are to die for best I’ve ever had!

Cupcakes were delicious and Heather was very friendly and sweet. Great to have them delivered to my door! Would definitely order again.

The good:
1. The price was right. I heard about this via Living Social and ended up with 2 dozen cupcakes and 2 cake pops for $ 18 (including delivery).
2. Turnaround time was good. I bought the deal on a Wed. and she was willing to deliver on that Fri., which was nice of her (as it was shorter than her website’s suggested timeframe).
3. She was willing to customize the cupcake liners to match our baby shower party, which I really appreciated.
The needs some improvement:
1. I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes (half chocolate and half lemon). The chocolate cupcakes were pretty dry, which was unfortunate. Cream cheese frosting was good.
2. The lemon ones all tasted great (cake and frosting), but there were 3 of the 12 that had about ²⁄₃ as much frosting as the other 9. They just weren’t usable for the party.
3. She came during the 4-​hour delivery window we’d agreed on, but when I checked in with her that afternoon, she gave me a shorter window and was about ½ late for that. She was delivering them to my office and eventually called and asked if I could just come down and pick them up from her car instead because she was having trouble parking. Not the biggest deal, but it made for one extra trip of carrying stuff.
Overall, I’d probably use her company again for something that wasn’t overly fancy or decadent.

I picked up the cupcakes Friday and the event was Saturday night. The cupcakes were still moist and delicious. They were a hit!

I was really disappointed that she had schedule another appointment close to the time I asked for delivery, especially since I had placed my order a few weeks ago. As for the cupcakes, they were nothing special. The red velvet tasted like vanilla cake. The frosting looked like it was put on there last minute they very un-​uniform. Only half of the cupcakes were eaten at the event I took them to I ended up taking home a dozen. I would not recommend these cupcakes to anyone. I’d rather go to the grocery store for cupcakes next time. I bought 2 dozen mini cupcakes. One dozen was red velvet and the other was German chocolate. I’m glad I got this on Groupon because I would be furious if I had paid full price.

I was very happy with my order and with the service from The Sweet Life. Heather was very friendly. I was able to make an appointment to taste a couple of flavors prior to making a decision. The banana pudding cupcake was AMAZING as was the Vanilla! My order was delivered on time and I’d be happy to use her again in the future!

Heather was very easy to work with. She accommodated all my last min requests.
Would def do business with her again.

Heather was so amazing! Ordered in the am and she delivered amazing cake pops and parfaits that afternoon. I will be using The Sweet Life every chance I get.

I truly enjoyed my tea kettle cake pops. Not only were they really really cute, but they were absolutely delicious. My friends loved them. They were the perfect addition to the party and a great way for me to thank my guests. I definitely recommend Heather’s services.

If I could give Heather «The Sweet Life» 0 stars, that is the option I would have chosen. Not only was she 2 hours late delivering cupcakes, the design was distasteful and she was unapologetic.
In addition, previous to this disaster,
I had referred others to her, and I have heard nothing but complaints regarding her professionalism. I would not recommend her services. She may get your first order correct, but the follow up is hideous.

Heather is the sweetest! We weren’t really sure about our order since we wanted to do something special with cupcakes for a friend’s birthday. Not only did she come up with great flavors for the cup cakes but she was very patient and a pleasure to talk to!
The frosting on the cupcakes was yummy and very creative.
The cupcakes were delicious! Every flavor that we had — chocolate, carrot cake, red velvet, lemon, chai latte, cookies & cream were moist and had the right amount of sweetness. I would definitely recommend Heather if you love cupcakes! The flavor was neither too strong, nor were the cupcakes too sweet, it was subtle and perfect.
And a special thank you to Heather for being kind enough to deliver the cupcakes personally as it was getting late and we were unable to reach on time. It was a great find and definitely worth a try!

Heather at The Sweet Life is the most talented baker, she really turns your desserts into delicious works of art! I ordered Minnie Mouse cake pops for a party, and she was so helpful along the way, very quick at responding and suggested that I use milk chocolate instead of the bitter dark that would most closely resemble Minnie’s colors.
My guests RAVED about her desserts at my party (I also ordered mini cupcakes) and though I had catered wayyy too much food and had so much left over, not a single cupcake or cake pop went uneaten.
Heather at The Sweet Life is talented, sweet, and amazing to work with! I highly recommend her!
