Tinsel Town Lights – Holiday Lighting

Tinseltown Lights was great… Bryan and is wife came out — gave us a quote (during the holiday season) and didn’t over-​charge us!!! Honest, fun and professional.

I always seem to cringe when Halloween is over because I know I am going to have to find yet another lighting installation company that just won’t do. After the many head aches of companies not installing the lights properly, not being able to contact them to get the lights down, and basically hassling the company to get back to me, I really hate the idea of lighting. This year I think I may have found a company to stick with. Tinsel Town Lights, were on top of scheduling, consultations, and then installation without me having to break a sweat.
Bryan and Ashley immediately called me back when I asked for a quote for lighting. They offered a FREE consultation, and discussed what I wanted done, the amount of lighting it would take, the extras that they would include. They were so thorough, my lighting installation fears were assuaged (and that was just for the consultation). When they came to install the lights they were prompt and did truly a beautiful job. They were almost done and then I asked to put up more lights and they did it with a smile.
On a personal note, they are both two truly lovely people, and I had a great conversation with them. They just seem like they really care about your lighting, your house and you. They will definitely be hearing from me next year.

We met Bryan and his wife Ashley when they came to our house, to give us a free quote for Christmas light installation.
We thought they were very friendly, they arrived on time and seemed professional. They told us they would email us the estimate. I then did a little bit of research online to get a rough idea on how much it should cost. When we received their quote, we thought their prices were really high.
We were having very little lighting done on the house and did not wish to spend over $ 200 for it.
They had been so nice when we had met, I felt that I could let them know about our budget and ask them if they could accommodate us better with the price; so I emailed them about it, the following morning.
2 days later we received a short email telling us that they had reevaluated the estimate and that it was their absolute lowest price. No «sorry we can’t accommodate you better…» No «for $ 200 we could do this…». If only they had offered us even as little as a $ 20 reduction in the price, it would have showed us their willingness in trying to get a new customer. Perhaps then, we would have reconsidered hiring them for the job.
A curt, unfriendly and cold response, is what we got instead! Ending in «Happy Holidays!» which sounded like a door being slammed in my face, more than a friendly greeting.
I guess their business must be doing quite well, since getting a new customer and $ 200 dollars in their pockets is inessential to them.
Not at all the holiday spirit!

Well, I had three days left before a backyard party and my husband decided he couldn’t figure out how to hang the starlight spheres from our 20 ft high ficus trees. So, I googled «christmas lights installers los angeles» and only two installers came up. Left a message for both on Sunday. One hour later, Brian from Tinsel Town called me back (on a Sunday). The other guy never called back! Brian quickly gave me a quote with details (e.g., the type of ladder he will bring and how he’ll weather proof etc). He and his assistant just finished hanging the spheres just in time for my event tonight. Very friendly, professional and easy going (e.g., I adjusted the height many times and they happily went with it). It was clear they wanted me to be happy. They also came ten min early from clear across town during rush hour. MANY thanks, Brian!
