Established in 2009.

Tiny Locks Head Lice Removal Service was created by two mothers who had both experienced a lice infestation first hand when their own children got lice. Many of the Tiny Locks lice removal clinicians are also mothers with medical backgrounds who want to help other families. Throughout the years they have treated thousands of children and parents, as well as grandparents, because they have found that head lice do not discriminate! TinyLocks exterminates these pests using our highly effective, safe, non-​toxic and chemical-​free lice removal treatment in the privacy of the customer’s own home. Tiny Locks lice removal service is a mobile service that began in Orange County, California and now brings it’s continuing effective treatment to the families in the Los Angeles County area as well.

Kimberly believes that the principles that guide our company are integrity, professionalism, courtesy and friendliness when dealing with your family. She takes pride in delivering quality lice removal services and is compassionate about our clients’ needs and in administering our highly effective lice treatment. Kimberly lends her many years of experience working with doctors and children to the Tiny Locks™ customer and she is dedicated to offering the most effective and safe lice treatment available.

Could not be happier. I was shocked to have lice as an adult. I tried to get all the nits out myself but couldn’t. My old husband doesn’t have the eyesight to help much. I freaked. I called and said I need someone here asap and Elena was here in an hour. She was prompt and delightful. My scalp feels wonderful. Crisis averted. Thank you, thank you Kim, Elena and Tiny locks

My 13 yr old daughter and I discovered she had lice this morning when there was a parasite on our bathroom counter after she combed her hair. I took a picture of it, then enlarged it, then googled it and it was indeed a louse (adult lice) YUK.
I sent her to school, then did 2 hours of research on the web and after reviewing various companies in the area along with their Unilocal reviews, decided on Tiny Locks to help us. I called and Kim answered the phone, and said Alicia would come to the house right after my daughter got out of school. Alicia was personable, knowledgeable, thorough, and educated us on every angle of how this happened or could have happened. My daughter was embarrassed of course, but Alicia was super sweet, soft spoken, and I knew it was the best decision to have someone like her come to the house rather than try to tackle this on my own. In the end it was a bit pricey, but Alicia walked us through all options in a professional manner. In my opinion you cannot put a price tag on the piece of mind she offered to nip these nasty nits in the bud! Oh, and she was willing to have my daughters’ friends come over to be checked while she was working on my daughter, and she checked my husband and I while she was there (thankfully we were in the clear) — she was AWESOME.

OMG! Alisha to the rescue! Tiny locks were amazing. The woman I spoke with over the phone (Kim) made it feel like I was talking with a close girlfriend about my lice issue. I was able to easily get a same day appt with no additional charge. Alisha was my clinician, and she was so nice and sweet. She put my daughter and I at total ease. Thank god I called Tiny Locks. They made it all better!

I have never written a Unilocal review in my life. I always read them, never write them. And I used Unilocal to find this service when I discovered my daughter had lice. I have three young children and a crazy life and I needed help fast. We were able to schedule someone quickly. Norma arrived and seemed very nice and was great with our kids. My daughter has very long and thick hair and she took her time weaving through the strands and removing nits and the louse she found. She educated us and all seemed great. I was very happy… until I decided to comb my daughter’s hair through that evening before she went to bed. I found 20 nits. 20 nits=20 potential lice. I had read the materials they had left behind and it said you may see a nit or 2-​but 20? I braided her up and decided I would comb her again in the morning and call the company because this was perplexing. The next morning I combed her again AND used a magnifying glass and light. I kept finding nits. Yes, not as many as the evening before, but this was getting ridiculous. My husband called and I still cannot believe how we were treated. He was lectured on my nit combing techniques. Did I know what I was looking at? WHAT? Of course I know what I am looking at-​I was the one who found the nits in the first place! We were told if Norma comes back and there were not a lot of nits for her to find, that we would be charged again-​WHAT? We paid over $ 200 for their services and products. What poor customer service. It was so utterly disappointing to be treated like that. I know a lot of people have had positive experiences with this company, but I would look around further since there are SO many better options. And sometimes it is just better when you do things yourself.

I called Tiny Locks after my 5yr old daughter’s school called saying they had found nits in her hair for the 2nd time in a week. (I had made the mistake of using over the counter lice shampoo and contrary to what the box says, it did not remove or kill the lice and eggs. Does not work!!). Cut to a week later and they found another nit in her hair after I had thought she was all clear. I decided to call in the professionals this time and I liked the reviews that tiny locks had so I gave them a call. They sent Alicia that same day! She was great with the kids– her demeanor and expertise put us all at ease, especially me after she found nits in my hair! Today was the follow up check for us and she has declared us all free of any nits or lice! Hooray! It was a stressful 2 weeks but Alicia was amazing and we couldn’t have dealt with it without her. HIGHLY recommended!

I had the pleasure of using tiny locks this weekend when I found out my daughter had lice. I called and they sent Debbie to my house and she was aN absolute delight. Not only was she incredibly helpful in teaching me how to make sure my daughter never gets lice again she made it simple and comfortable to learn .
Normally my daughter has an extremely sensitive head but Debbie was so gentle my daughter didn’t cry once. I would highly recommend them to everyone who has to get rid of lice !!!

I was beside myself when I discovered lice in my 6 year old daughter and my 7 year old son, but I decided I would manage and get through it on my own. The next day when I found six live lice in MY OWN HAIR I had a minor melt down and called my mother on the east coast in tears.
I am a newly single mom of three and exhausted as it is– lice on three heads was just more than I could handle. I found tiny locks after my mother sent me links to a few different lice removal services. I called at 5pm on Monday and Alicia was at my house at 6:45pm the same day. She spent three and ½ hours on the three of us and didn’t leave until 10:45!
It is now Wednesday and I have done three recombs since (bc I am paranoid) of an hour each and I have literally found NOTHING. My daughter had so many on Monday before Alicia arrived that I could see them crawling around on her head and now her head is clear.
Of course I will continue to recomb for the next week or two like I am supposed to, but I just had to write a review and express my gratitude.
In addition to the high quality of service, Alicia was super sweet, good with my kids, and professional.
Will call again in a heart beat if this awful/​disgusting/​soul crushing thing happens again!

I give this business a big thumb up. After arriving to visit my family in LA daughter found lice and had a pretty bad infestation. After panicking and goggling found tiny locks on line and called them to come the next morning. Alicia is a sweetheart. She worked on my daughter for 3 hours and promised she would get all the eggs and lice. She certainly did her part. Tirelessly working for 4 hours. Amazing service. Thank you so much for being there to take care of people that do need this service. I could not even come close to doing such an excellent job. I called Tiny Locks as my daughter and I discovered we had lices. They came over to my house, and treated us. For my daughter it tooks two hours as she had a lot of lice. Then, came my turn. It was the end of the afternoon, the technicien was tired, she had been working for a long time and she did my head in half an hour. I got the feeling it had been rushed but did not say anything. It cost me $ 300. The following morning, I went up to the mirror and saw 3 eggs in my hair. It was the week-​end, we did what we could at home to get rid of the lices. I called them on Monday, left many messages explaining but they did not return my call. I was Wednesday when I finally talked to them. They gave me an appointment for Thursday that they cancelled an hour later saying that they could only do a visit for another $ 100!!! I tried to explain that the lices had not been removed in the first place but they insisted that if you look at their site carefully, it says that they is not 100% guarantee. So basically, if they leave your head full of lices, it is your responsability and you have to pay them again if you want them to come back!!!
Great business… I would not recommend them at all.

I have to pile on with the 5 star reviews. Alicia R showed up at my house last night and was kind, gentle and profesional. Luckily it was a false alarm and we did not have an infestation but my guess is if we had she would have dispatched the critters in a pleasant and efficient fashion! Let’s hope we never need their serviices again but if we do we will be calling them. ALso Ann who handled the phone was pleasant and informative and efficient. Crazy to be so ‘YAY’ about something like lice removal but it is alsways nice when you can make the best of a bad thing.

When our nanny found lice on my 18 month-​old and 4 year-old’s heads, I panicked. I called Tiny Locks, who were friendly and helpful. They sent someone over immediately. Alicia Riggs was so calm, that my terrified, screaming 18 month-​old started smiling and let Alicia pull the comb through her hair. My 4 year-​old couldn’t stop talking to her. She also helped my wife and I feel like we were not doomed to a lifetime of head parasites on our children. Her instructions for how to clean the house were great and very clear, and one week later, on our follow-​up visit… we are lice-​free. My wife has already pre-​recommended her to all of our friends with small children.

We called Tiny Locks in a panic today after discovering my son had ‘nits’ and they sent someone within an hour. The clinician, Alysa, was very punctual, friendly, polite and professional. She was also great with my somewhat fidgety kids! She checked all my family and It turned out that my daughter and I also had them :(She treated us all on the spot at home. It was a fairly timely procedure — she was here for about 3 hours — but she was extremely meticulous and I am pretty confident that she has zapped them all. She was very knowledgeable, able to advise us in great depth, and left us with check lists to refer to during the week of after-​care treatment. Very impressed.
