Best Thai food I’ve ever tried. I recommend this place highly. I’ve tried many other Thai restaurants. Nothing comes close

Love this place, the staff is awesome. the ladies remember my order all the time. I hadn’t gone for abut a year and they still had it on point. the food is delicious I drive from the 91 and the 110 just to go so you can see why I hadn’t gone for a while can’t wait to go again. shrimp cakes are the best part of my meal long with the soup

Incredibly friendly, and accommodating. Beyond reasonable pricing. Everything is flavored and delicious. Take out or dine in, this place is a Thai town treasure. PS. Open till 3am. Say word?!?

I used to come here at least once a month but only for the pad thai. Nothing here is good. All the curries are very salty. Nothing is fresh. Anything with shrimp and they majorly skimp. If requesting fried tofu instead of meat, the tofu is mushy on the inside. My sister and my friend both dislike the chicken from here, they said it’s gross. I used to think the servers were ok, but not too long ago they threw me off when the short lady that always wears skirts and the big tall lady with bangs kept trying to get us out, mind you the restaurant was not busy and it was nowhere near closing time. They had the audacity to come over and ask for the tip. Because they asked, we left nothing and ever since, we are treated differently, so after tonight we will never go back. Besides the food is low quality. The restaurant is dingy and dark and dirty. The service is a disservice to their business. I just can’t understand why so many people swear by this shit hole. Don’t waste your time. No parking, cash only, rude service.

This place served delicious food. It was located near the Pantages theater and when every other place required a reservation we were able to walk in and sit down. A diverse clientele was there but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The only problem I had was that it was cash only but when the bill arrived I was pleasantly surprised! Will definitely be going back :)

Dude. They’re open until 3am. Major bonus. Food is actually very tasty. Prices are suuuper chill and service is usually right on point. My favorite dishes so far are the pad woon sen with seafood, Spicy seafood combination(has a nice kick), Tom yum kai, and all curry dishes. Perfect for an after 10pm meal.

The Thai tea is to die for. Highly recommend it. The Beef Pad See Yu is my favorite. Make sure to order the pad thai. They accommadate for picky eaters. We go right when it opens to avoid any waiting. Fast service, good food.

The food is flavorful but a bit too greasy. They open at 5pm and pretty much stay open til 3:30am. Giving 3 stars cause One of the employee was Soo rude I just didn’t understand why she was giving a attitude for nothing I guess she was was having a bad day.

This place is convenient to stop in here for a quick bite. I’ve only had to-go orders thus far but the restaurant seems cozy enough and it’s always busy with people all the times I’ve been here. I’ve had the Pad See Ew, chicken fried rice and panang curry with chicken. The pad see ew was tasty. The fried rice is decent as well not being anything extraordinary in flavor and the panang curry was fairly good as well although slightly oily on top. All in all, it’s an okay place to grab Thai cuisine in the area and the prices are very reasonable. Although it’s not my favorite place for Thai food in Los Angeles, I’d say it’s still a good spot if you’re looking for a place to dine-in since it has one of the better ambiances of most of the Thai restaurants around. Of course like most places in Thai Town, it’s cash only but they are open late until 3:00 am if you’re out partying and have got the munchies.

They only get two stars and that is solely based on two things the quality if food is decent. And they are open late. Was not at all a fan of the fact that it is a cash only business. And one if the ladies the larger one with the bangs and terrible red lips, was honestly the most absolute rudest person ever. I don’t care if I could barely understand you. It was your attitude that was bothersome and it was not even directed towards me it was directed towards your employee. The receipts were not split or itemised to which we knew who was paying for what. The kind women who took our order was also the one to handle our bill, who was doing a fine job. It wasn’t until this big rude red lipped ogre came in with her attitude yelling at her employee telling us that she’s only allowed to do two receipts«or else it wastes time and we end up taking it out of her own check… F’d up. If I was her and I was able, I’d try to find a new job to get out of this owners way. Food was decent and liked that it was open late, but I wouldn’t come back. Only to save that employee from her ugly boss.

This place has the most amazing coconut soup. I could have just had that remind time you in order two or three orders of it. The rest of the food was better than okay but not extremely great. The staff was nice. Not very fast. But fast enough. I will definitely be going back.

I have very fond memories coming here with my mom and pops when I was little younger and I still come here any time I can. Their food has always been delish and they don’t try and change up what doesn’t need changing, which is awesome. Every time I come I get the Poh Tak seafood soup and shrimp fried rice. The soup has a lemongrass flavor and they add big pieces of fish, krab, New Zealand muscles, squid, and fish balls. The shrimp fried rice is loaded with egg and onion which I love! And the shrimp is always perfectly cooked. The shrimp cakes are decadent, crispy shrimp patties and they give you a little bowl of sweet and sour sauce to dip them in. I highly recommend coming here but make sure to bring cash because it’s CASHONLY. You probably won’t need more than 40. It’s very reasonably priced here so it doesn’t dent your wallet at all. And park across the street at the gas station instead of paying at the meters.

Our go to Thai food place! Absolutely love their Pad Thai, Pad See You, and other dishes. Parking can be a hassle sometimes and the restaurant is cash only, but definitely worth it. The servers are very attentive and sweet. I can’t wait to go back soon!

THIS was my favorite thai restaurant in Hollywood until 2009 or so, when I noticed they had a «C» rating. If that’s important, call ahead and ask for their gpa. If mgmt corrects me, I will edit my account. A little shop with big red booths, big yummy portions at great prices, I used to always get the perfect satay to start, with tangy chicken coconut soup, and excellent pad thai, and chinese broccoli with beef– so garlicky it’s metallic. So good. And the thai iced tea has a distinct taste of «firework smoke” — I’m not trying to be silly, it really tastes like the haze of firework smoke from lighting fireworks all night in the street. Took a photo with David Alan Grier there, he was getting it to go. He gives it two snaps up.

I love that this place is open until 3:30AM. We came after the late showing of Pantages and wanted something kind of close but also tasty. The prices are fairly cheap for Thai food… I couldn’t find a thai place with those prices in OC if my life depended on it so definitely a plus! We had the Beef Red Curry and the Chicken Pad See Ew. The curry was really flavorful. It had a fair amount of meat. It’s on the watery side so if you’re used to a thicker, creamier curry this is not for you. The Pad See Ew was disappointing. The chicken was way overcooked to the point where pieces of it were actually hard and crunchy… ick. The flavor was good and the noodles were cooked well but the chicken really ruined it for me. For $ 14 not including tip, I’d say this place is definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area past 10

Tasty, greasy, unhealthy Thai food. Everything tastes good, have never really had to complain about anything except for the amount of oil used in their eggplant dish which was way overboard. You order a vegetable based dish thinking it’ll be a healthier alternative only for it to backfire. Don’t make the same mistake. Their noodle dishes however are always on fleek, be it Pad Thai or Beef Pad See Ew. So much tastier than repulsive Palm’s Thai. Hate that it’s only Cash Only. It’s 2015! Get with the times and accept plastic already!

Every so often, my friend Nick drags me to this place. He loves it here. I’ve only eaten here once and it was good, but I just had spring rolls. He always gets the pad Thai and scarfs it down like its the last meal he’ll ever eat. I’ll admit it’s really fun to come here at night. But I don’t quite trust it. I’m a picky eater and have to trust the integrity of those cooking my food and the surroundings in which my food is prepared.

I came to Torung once in a while ever since the pre-Yelp era. They were consistently good, inexpensive, stays open late, and the food came out faster than greased lightening. However, for me, there has been a slow decline in the flavour & quality of ingredients in the food. I went last night, and this may be my last. Ordered the Thai Basil & Chicken. The oyster sauce based sauce was not particularly full of Umami. However, the worst part was that the chicken was dry, mealy, without meaty flavour and overcooked. The Pad Thai was a touch better, but I could have had a more flavourful version at Yai down the street. The only problem with Yai is that they close rather early unlike Torung which stays open til late. Service is friendly, short & to the point. Expect no obtrusive service by the waiters, but they are excellent in filling glasses of chilled water to quench the palate of Thai spicy cuisine. I am now experiencing better food at other places such as Sanamluang for their General’s Noodle Soup, Yai for Jungle Curry & Pad Thai, «Angel Wings» at Sri Siam, etc. The prices are certainly inexpensive at Torung, but equally inexpensive Thai eateries are upping the game. Hope that Torung can step up to the challenge and not rely mainly on the fact that it stays open til late. 3 minus stars & hope it will not continue to decline.
