Dan is incredible. If you want to make your wedding special and do it for the most reasonable budget ever AND find someone who is more than just a vendor but a partner in the process of styling, florals, décor, vibe, art, all these minor details that you don’t want to delegate to a family member or 5 different vendors, HIRE DAN.
Seriously, he’s beyond talented and capable at what he does — this is coming from a total Bridezilla. We got married August 22^nd, 2015 at Saddlerock Ranch and I worked with Dan from Feb 2015 until the wedding. By profession, I’m a TV producer/​executive and my wedding was nothing short of a production in EVERY way. There’s a flow to a wedding and if you want people to talk about it being the most magical night, then you have to produce it like a TV show.
Everyone who was at the wedding was stunned at how well «produced» it was and the amount of detail that went into it… I have to say that all the details that I added were very US and Dan took «US» to a new level in terms of details. He added so many special touches and went above and beyond to work within my budget and steer me away from frivolous spending, which you won’t get from other wedding vendors.
Most people try to take advantage of you as soon as you say the word ‘wedding,’ Dan does not do that, he’s just an honest guy. He’s so beyond good at what he does and he will make your night YOUR fairytale. He also has no real boundaries when it comes to creativity and is willing to pitch in and help style everything and anything — which is key because you don’t need to hire a vendor for the arch, a vendor for the florals, a coordinator (we had a great one but he does that too), a vendor for rentals to do the touches (like a lounge made of old trunks and rustic furniture), the set up of the welcome tables, etc.
The other thing that he did was he listened and looked at the Pinterest pics I sent him and said, okay, I see what you’re going for, he’s how we can achieve X for a more reasonable budget than what they probably had here. I also sent him pics of the bouquet I wanted and the one for the bridesmaids and he replicated it and made it better with small touches to make it pop even more, which I was really nervous about… he kept saying it would look the same, but I didn’t believe him until I saw it, and ya, it was exactly what I wanted. He’s great at getting to know his clients and anticipating what they will want when it comes to the details. There’s not really another vendor that I’ve come across who does this… but that’s the other big difference between him and the rest of the vendors out there.
Lastly, he also made us cool signs for our chairs that said Co-​Executive Producer under our names, which I thought was so cool and unique. It went with our TV theme!
I looked at 2 dozen vendors before I found Dan (by accident on Unilocal while trying to look for a chandelier to rent)…seriously one of the best hires of the ENTIRE wedding and he made our wedding perfect. If you’re getting married, hire Dan/​his Trightymite team! He loves what he does and he’s not your typical vendor who has some cookie cutter pricing sheet and a way of doing things that is by the book. Dan threw out the book and he just wants happy clients and people’s dream «event» — wedding or otherwise — to come true.

I got married June 6, 2015 and hired Dan for my event. He was absolutely wonderful. He worked with me and my budget, I wanted a beautifully decorated wedding but I didn’t want to break the bank. He really worked with how I envisioned my wedding being. He was professional and super patient with this indecisive bride. He would call me with ideas from time to time to help me decorate my perfect wedding, it was refreshing to work with someone that is passionate about what they do. The day of the wedding he was professional and there on time and all of my guest raved about how beautifully the wedding was set up. And hands-​down he made me the most beautiful bouquet I’ve ever seen! I would highly recommend him to do your event if you’re looking for a creative professional who is passionate about their work.

Dan is amazing. Fair, honest, great eye for design and optimizing the lighting for the space. Professional and responsive. He originally overestimated the amount of lighting needed and when he saw the space, advised us to reduce it and promptly reduced the bill without of asking. My mother-in-law’s 70^th bday party would not have looked as spectacular as it did if not for Dan.

I cried when I walked into the room! That’s how pleased I was with the work done by Dan and his team. I don’t live in California and I didn’t have a chance to meet Dan until after the reception. The great thing about him, was that he was very responsive to emails. I basically had to plan my entire wedding via email so that was really important to me. Also I was amazed at what I could get in my budget. He explained that it didn’t take a lot to make a room beautiful and he was correct. The backdrop, drapery and lights were perfect. Oh but the best part was the color. I wanted pink but I didn’t want the dark fuchsia that you mostly see in lights. He was able to adjust the colors and they were absolutely beautiful. My husband doesn’t like pink but he was pleased with the décor as well. Actually I think he was just happy that I was so happy.

Dan was amazing to work with! He worked within our budget and gave us more than we expected. He was also incredibly kind. He did our flowers, lighting, heat lamps, photo booth and bouquets. I would hire him again without hesitation and refer him to all of my friends who are on a budget.

I had the pleasure of working with Dan for my brother’s wedding in August (2014). Their theme was a traditional Chinese banquet wedding with bold colors of red, gold, and subtle pink. Dan helped pull all the backdrops, custom made pieces and lighting together the day of and I was impressed at their speed and professionalism. Throughout the wedding planning process, Dan offered great suggestions to make sure the restaurant venue looked fabulous and was aligned with my brother’s vision. Dan goes beyond what a normal event decorator would do, and truly works with you to plan out all the details.
I highly recommend them for not only your event décor needs, but all the other services that Dan and his team offers. Dan is quick to respond, friendly, professional and a joy to work. Attention all BrideZillas and DIY wannabes!!! You need to do yourself a favor and talk to Dan at Trightymite! He’s more than just a vendor, he’s your therapist! I really wanted to hire Dan to decorate our wedding in a couple of months, but unfortunately it didn’t work out. So why read my review? Because I don’t want you to make the same mistake I did by putting off contacting Dan sooner. Before you even think about DIYing your wedding, please call Dan! He can probably save you more money, time, effort, and your sanity.
This man does it all! You can hire him to be your wedding planner, stylist, or just rent cool items from him. If you can think it, he can probably make it happen for a VERY reasonable and affordable price. Or if you don’t have a vision, he will see one for you. As a budget conscientious bride I’ve spent more time researching and chatting with vendors than I do with my fiancé. Dan was, hands down, the most straight-​forward, responsive, and honest person. He will work with your budget and go beyond what you expect. So before you start spending your hard earned mola on cute things for your wedding (that you had to buy because they were on sale even though you have no idea how you’re going to use them), call Dan. Let him do all the work for you. Your groom will thank you too!

I’ve worked with many lighting companies, and Trightymite has bumped their way up to the top of my list. There’s no doubt from the high ratings that Dan’s end-​clients have been very satisfied by his team’s work.
As a wedding coordinator, I always provide my clients with my recommendations from a vendor perspective: their responsiveness, flexibility, promptness, and synergy. These are all things that are observed behind the scenes, as the bride and groom are getting ready for their big day, and should not be overlooked.

I hired Dan and his team to build a Canopy over my sweetheart table as well as a Gobo light with the bride and grooms name for my wedding on March 30^th. The Canopy was AMAZING.
Dan was responsive, professional, and delivered exactly what I envisioned for my wedding. I’ve gotten so many compliments about the canopy over the passed week and everyone saying it was a nice touch to my reception.
If you’re on the fence about a vendor to use for your wedding I wouldn’t think twice about hiring this team. The price was great, and service impeccable!

I came across trightymite when I was searching for drapes for my nephews big first birthday. I decided to call and fortunately had a too good to be true conversation with a wonderful man named Dan. He didn’t give me just a price of a drape but our whole party! He is everything a stressful mom, dad, bride, groom, and sister needs. Dan provided us with everything we needed and even more, in an affordable price. His staff is amazing, his ideas are incredible and his creativity is off the roof! My nephews first birthday was a success! We had visitors jaw dropping once they entered our BACKYARD! Dan is wonderful! I recommend him to anyone that has any events coming up!

Our wedding reception décor was beautiful, we got many compliments from our guests. I highly recommend him, he will transform any room into the ambiance of your dream. I was on a budget, and he was willing to work with it.
