History

Established in 2003.

Alpha Epsilon Delta was realized at the University of California, Los Angeles in the autumn of 2003. Ms. Theresa Kim, Ms. Wendy Chen and Mr. John Cho saw the need for an organization that could unite all students who shared a passion for the health sciences. Their dream was to weave a campus of stratified and segregated professional goals into a cross-​disciplinary alliance.

Generations later, the roster of Alpha Epsilon Delta testifies to the fulfillment of the founders’ dream. The roster of majors runs from physiological sciences to chemical engineering and from communication studies to business economics. Despite the diverse professional interests, all of Alpha Epsilon Delta is bound together by a passion for the field of health — whether in its administration, business, policy or practice. Beyond the passion for the profession of health, all of our members share an intense fidelity to the virtues of academic achievement and moral character.

Experiences: Intern at Assessing Resident’s CI-​CARE at UCLA Health, Medical Assistant at a Endocrinologist Office, Volunteer at Belize Medical Mission Trip, Volunteer at Spinal Cord Injury Unit at Veteran’s Hospital

Bio: Caresse Vuong has 2+ years as a BLS instructor. Caresse is graduated UCLA in March 2015 with a Physiological Science B.S. She began teaching CPR/​First Aid to doctors, nurses, and Clinical Care Extenders at the Ronald Reagan Medical Center. Caresse enjoys reading and jogging in her free time. Ultimately, she aspires to be a doctor.
