UCLA Hematology/Oncology Westwood

First time here for my first infusion treatment to treat my autoimmune illness Pemphigus.
It’s been a life changing experience since I was hospitalized at UCI five months ago. I was re admitted a week & a half later and was correctly diagnosed at UCLA after spending 7 nights at the UCLA Santa Monica hospital for this rare illness. After treating my symptoms with steroids and tropical medicines its been recomended by my specialist Dr Holland from dermatology who specializes in this illness to try another alternative solution. Past success percentages are in my favor for this to put this illlness into remission and taper off of the current medications.
It took several weeks to get this appointment after my insurance finally approved the procedure at UCLA. The staff here are professional and care is first class as all my medical treatments has been here at UCLA.
90% of the patients here are battling cancer of some form and the patient next to me is fighting throat cancer and is on a new program at the hospital where he was 1 of 45 patients accepted. He’s been here daily since April and has been receiving radiation, chemo and even has a speech coach.
My nurse who is Korean is awesome, friendly, understanding, professional and has been employed here for 8 years. I can see the trust and confidence her current patients have in her and I’m impressed.
