Business Owner

Dr. Bob Baravarian is a board certified podiatric foot and ankle specialist. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and one of only a handful of foot and ankle surgeons to have both foot and reconstrictive rearfoot and ankle certifications as a Fellow of the Americal College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has been involved in athletics his entire life and played competitive tennis in high school and college.

Dr. Gary B. Briskin is a board certified podiatric foot and ankle specialist. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the Americal College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He performed his residency training at Flint General Hospital in Michigan. He then joined UCLA for a period of time before his current position as co-​founder and co-​director of The Foot and Ankle Institute.

I cannot emphasize enough the GREAT care I had with Dr Gary Briskin. I went to see him with a VERY sore and painful ingrown toenail. 10 minutes later, I was out the door with no pain at all and 6 months later, i have no more ingrown toenail, no complications at all — perfect.
Note I am quite an expert as this was my 9th (yes ninth, on just 2 big toes!!!) ingrown toenail procedure and my cosmopolitan toenails have had procedures with lots of doctors in lots of places in Los Angeles, London, Paris, and Singapore :-). While other procedures kept getting re-​infected and were a nightmare (wearing flip flops in the Winter might be manageable in LA but in Paris you get blue feet and a lot of funny looks!), Dr Gary got rid of this for good in no time and i was able to wear shoes almost immediately.

Dr. Briskin and his staff make going to the doctor a simplistic and pleasurable experience. With two teens, both involved in competitive athletics (football and gymnastics), we have sought medical care for feet and ankle injuries on multiple occasions. Each time we have been out of the office in less than 45 minutes. Dr. Briskin is warm, friendly, and knowledgeable and always take the time to listen and evaluate the injury.

I am doing an update on my last review as I now have considerable time spent with Dr. Briskin and office. I was expeiencing foot and ankle pain that progressed for several months before I went to see Dr, Briskin. He took a conservative approach (which I like) with PT first. After a few weeks and still some pain he wanted a MRI of my ankle. I said no way, I’m not going in that. He said he had one that only the foot goes in. I agreed, went to the Santa Monica center and sure enough onlly the foot went into the MRI. The staff there was great, kind compassionet, and made every effort to make me comfortable. The MRI revealed several areas of concern that I will be dealing with Dr.Briskin.I feel confident he will take care of my foot problems.
The staff in Manhattan Beach are helpful and friendly. Tom especially always asist me with my needs. He is always smiling and a busy little bee assisting patients. Nancy at the front desk is very helpful too, I needed additional information that she readly furnished for me on two occasions. Some of what I needed was to come from another office, when I did not receive it, she was right on it and seen to it that I did.
I can only say if you have foot or ankle problems this is the place to be. I will continue to post as time goes on with my care. If anything changes I will let you know.

Smashed a toe pretty good and had a toenail going in the wrong way.
I called the doctors office. they took my California Care insurance no problem. Despite a very busy lobby, staff arranged to sneak me in between patient appointments. Doctor examined my issue within 20 minutes of doing paperwork, checked my toe and informed me how to take care of it.
I was very pleased with the service at this doctors office and the professional nature of the staff. The doctor was polite and clearly gave me the medical attention I needed.
Overall, it felt like a place where patients and their medical needs came first, not the hustle of the 21st-​century medical industry.
Highest recommendation for the University medical team!

My feet have been killing me for the past two months and put off getting it checked out. I finally came to see Dr. Breskin and I regret nothing! My appointment time was mostly kept and he found the problem prettying right away. Dr Breskin is very easy to talk to and answers questions readily.
The only problem: the parking lot is tight. Get there early enough to park a block away and walk in or have someone drop you off.

I broke my foot while working on a film production. One of my friends told me about the Foot and Ankle institute. They provided a great treatment for my foot and I was pain free within a week. I would definately recommend their services to anyone with any feet pains or problems. They will help you «get back on your feet».
