Vic is a GREAT and helpful guy! It’s my first time to a repair store and Venil’s auto repair is definitely the best and it’s gonna be my favorite repair store! I went into Vic’s shop with nothing but my recently-​bought Nissan XTerra, a few vague complaints about the engine and radiator, and a worry that I’d just bought a lemon. My case was the perfect kind of setup for a dishonest mechanic to spin a story about a blown head gasket and swindle me for thousands of dollars, but Vic did an in-​depth inspection of my car that felt less like a visit to the mechanic and more like «Car Maintenance 101.» He inspected the car’s internals from hood to front, pointing out various issues and generally fixing them on his own (some previous fender damage repaired with a little hammering, screws on the engine that were a little loose tightened down) and explaining what he was looking for and the minor repairs he was making.
He offered me a list of various problems, (two burned-​out bulbs, old spark plugs, a worn battery terminal) and delivered everything he promised for exactly the agreed-​on price, along with advice on which tires I needed to replace and which ones were worth saving. It’s too bad I live in Pasadena, because I’d get everyone I know to visit Vic when they need their cars looked at.
Tl;dr best visit to the mechanic I’ve ever had, bar none.

Vic, the owner of this one-​man shop, is friendly, very knowledgeable and honest. He always takes the time to answer my questions and lets me know when a problem needs fixing right away or if it can wait a bit… no pushy upselling. The work on our vehicles has always been excellent and was reasonably priced. A real gem for all you Unilocalers!
