I’ve gone to Fernando and Fernando Jr. for over 2 years. They are really nice guys, and I’m really sorry to write this review, but they take advantage of unsuspecting car owners. I just picked up my car from them today to fix a squeaky belt when my car started. They had just replaced the serpentine belt 2 years ago, and everything still looked brand new. Not a bit of wear. However, some oil had been leaking out of the cap on top, and I suspected that it was causing the squeak. They insisted on replacing every part – the belt, the tensioner (a pulley) and two other idler pulleys. OK, fine, we’ll do it. They charged me almost $ 500.
The windshield washer was not functioning either, and they said the washer pump would be $ 300 just for the part, plus labor. They said there were no aftermarket parts, so they would have to order directly from Mercedes-​Benz. I said that was too much money to fix the sprayers, and that I would find a used part on my own. I decided to check the price of a brand new part at the Mercedes Benz dealership. It’s $ 116 — less than ¹⁄₃ the price! If you buy it online, it’s $ 12 brand new. $ 12! They were going to charge me 25x the price I could get it elsewhere. That made me go back and check the prices of all the parts they insisted that I needed for the belt. Even paying retail prices, every part was less than ½ the price they charged me – some were ¹⁄₃ the price!
They also checked out an issue with the transmission. It had thrown a number of codes. All they did was reset the codes on the computer – another $ 130 (and they kindly reduced to $ 120). They told me over the phone that the transmission fluid was all clear, so they only reset the computer because they didn’t want to do unnecessary work. (Sounds good!) But when I got there, they said the transmission is completely sealed – there’s no possible way to check the fluid without dismantling it (which they did not do). I appreciate not doing unnecessary work, but there’s no reason to lie to me about what work you have or have not done. I’ve often felt like I was getting multiple stories from these guys, but this was the last straw. I’m sorry guys, but I will never be coming back. Please don’t be swindled by these guys.

My husband has been bringing in his car for years to Fernando and son he’s an honest mechanic that works hard, the reason why we don’t come often enough is he does such great work once it’s fixed you don’t see him again until your next car issue. He stands by his work.

I have known Fernando for over 18 years. He is an excellent mechanic but he is also a wonderful human being. Every car that I have ever owned has gone to him to have work performed. Fernando is very honest, has very reasonable prices, and always stands by his work. He let’s you know exactly what work needs to be done, how long the job is going to take and how much it’s going to cost. Fernando is an excellent mechanic and treats his customers like family. If your car needs work, don’t hesitate to take it to W Motors, you will not be disappointed.

Such nice guys! Son working with his father, always makes me happy. Saving up for more repairs, and looking forward to spending that money with Fernando. I love my car and hope to drive it forever, so thankful to have mechanics that I can trust. I will recommend these guys to anyone I know that is need of car repair.

Fernando the owner is a very nice and knowledeable man does not try to sell you parts or repairs you dont need. This place is also very cost effective for quality service! Ihave been here numerous times without any complaints and he knows oldercars very well.

I found these guys to be shady and not professional. They did $ 700 worth of work on my AC and now a few months later it does not work. I left my car overnight as they recommended, however they did not call me the next morning with an estimate as promised. So I called in – they said they didn’t have an estimate ready and would call back in an hour. Two hours later no call as promised. So I went in and still no estimate. Instead they were wasting my time trying to trick me into thinking my other mechanic is trying to rip me off (which is not true). Every time I go in there it feels like they are just trying to take me for a ride any which way possible. Shady Shady Shady.

We just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to find a trustworthy mechanic close by in case our cars need repairs in the future. Since my roommate was about to drive to Mammoth for skiing we thought we would try this place out with an easy check-​up just to make sure the car would make the trip without problems. Fernando, the owner, was very pleasant on the phone and said I could bring the car in anytime. I dropped it off and when I returned in the afternoon he said it looked good and that they had topped off all the fluids. So for $ 35 we got some peace of mind and hopefully the beginnings of an honest relationship. My impression is that Fernando is a decent and talented mechanic. If anything major happens I’ll post another review and let you know how that goes.

Have to agree with previous review: Jorge is the man. After taking my 2000 BMW all over LA and getting bent over in the process, a friend recommended I go talk to Jorge and I haven’t bent over since.

Whenever I have issues I no longer groan in fear of a huge bill, I just call up Jorge and tell him I’m on my way, he calls me later with a price and a time to pick-​up my car. Done.

AMAZING!!! Go there talk to Jorge and he will do an amazing job for a nice price!!! I went to many mechanics before… all overpriced and not half as good as Jorge and his team…100% recommend it!!!
