Hello children of the post-internet era. That means you, all students at USC since 2005. A somewhat arbitrary date, but I need to draw a line in the sand to differentiate myself from«the young’ens». I was in the basement of WPH(the computer lab, to be exact) when I purchased my first not-a-book from Amazon. Yes, I was excited to buy a CD from Amazon. Today, people buy toilet paper from Amazon, and CDs are retro drink coasters, but I hope you get the point. This place has seen the dot com boom and bust. I’ve not been there since 1997, but I presume it remains capable of granting you access to Amazon, and the likes. Pick up a CD copy of Erasure, just for old-times sake.

Place rating: 4 Washington, DC
This place is always packed with engineering and computer science students but it is still a good place to study. I always go here just do some hw in between work and class. It’s convenient to have a place to just take a break and not have to deal with the business of the library. There are plenty of tables and a couch to sit on. There are lots of computers available and you can also borrow a laptop if you want. The best part about this place is it’s in the basement where there is no reception! So if you really want to get some studying gone, having no reception helps eliminate distraction!
