RUN RUN RUN!!! As fast away from this place as quick as you can. This «Dental Office» is a complete joke. Went in for a full dental cleaning and was treated so rudely The cleaning was something of a joke they didnt even do a cleaning it was so quick under 1 minute Seriously! So Pathetic and such a Bum rushed job. Tried to push me to get a deep cleaning for $ 300 and also pushed me to purchase to get my full mouth fixed. They are all about taking your money and Scaming people Not friendly and kind or caring. The Dr. would not even shake my hand she had a Bad Attitude even worse than a celebrity on a bad day and never even told me her name they should not be working with the public. Save your money and go elsewhere Trust Me you will thank me later. The most FAKE DENTAL OFFICE Ive ever been too. I also waited an hour to be seen and was done in under 5 minutes I was out the door and gone and Never Ever Coming Back!

This was my second trip here, and both visits have been fantastic! Dr. Teresa Do was my dentist this time and she was beyond great!
I, like many folks, have extreme anxiety going to dentists. It’s also very difficult to get me numb. As soon as I arrived, with my broken filling, the staff greeted me with smiles and compassion. They put me ease and calmed my fears by getting me in early to be evaluated.
I got a root canal the first time here, and believe it or not, it was a painless and almost pleasant experience, as far as root canals go. This time, they realized I could avoid a root canal so they fixed the filling and made a crown for me. This saved me money, and that’s always good. Many times (at other dentists) the crowns do not fit correctly. When I came back in to Westwood Dental Care, the crown went on quickly and fit like a glove! I didn’t even need an adjustment.
Dr. Do is professional, talented, efficient, and has a great sense of humor as well (that’s important). Her assistant was also excellent at keeping things running smoothly. My time is valuable and the top-​notch staff got me in & out with alacrity. I will never go to another dentist again. I rarely write reviews on Unilocal,but I had to let everyone know what a great job they all did.
Finally, a dental office that knows how to get me numb… hooray!

Questionable abilities and unnecessary up-​sells. Went in for a procedure to rebuild a tooth and had to go back three times for shaping and they never did get it right. The staff isn’t terribly welcoming and seem to be more about trying to charge credit cards than provide quality dental care. The last time I went in for a free cleaning and they tried to up-​sell me to a procedure for hundreds of dollars that a second opinion said was unnecessary and potentially damaging to my teeth. AND they never gave me the cleaning. Mainly because of Unilocal reviews this seemed like the best option in my new plan. I felt more like I was in a shady mechanic shop than a dentist’s office. It’s aesthetically well set up and they have free water bottles in the waiting room, but you have to ask if it’s cool to take one as no one offers.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in a handful of years (shh don’t tell my mom) but decided I better get back into it– I found this place because it was on the list of providers walking distance from UCLA who accept the UCLA student dental insurance (Delta Dental).
I got an appointment with Dr. Cathy Sargent and had a very pleasant experience, or at least as pleasant as going to the dentist can be. The front desk staff was nice, answered my questions, plus there was complimentary coffee and water.
Dr. Sargent was also very nice and patient with me and all the questions I had. I got about a hundred X-​rays, then a cleaning with a water jet instead of a bunch of scraping– WAY better than the endless bloody scraping I’m used to from my previous dental cleanings!
The X rays, exam, and cleaning were covered by my insurance with no copay. I didn’t have any cavities but Dr. Sargent recommended I get fillings over some tooth roots where the gums were low. I was able to get those fillings that very same visit! I was told exactly how much each filling would cost and how much I would end up paying with insurance (about $ 36 each I think?). I really appreciate that all the costs were itemized and given to me to sign an agreement before any treatment was done, so I wouldn’t end up being surprised by the bill later on.
Dr. Sargent went through the filling process with a lot of patience for all my questions and then allowed me to feel all of them to see if they were all done to my satisfaction.
I’m tentatively giving 4 stars now because I still have many visits ahead of me and I won’t really be able to tell how good everything went in terms of my cleaning and fillings until down the line.

I was experiencing pain and went into see Dr Do after making an emergency appointment. She informed me that I need to go straight onto antibiotics and need a root canal. They had to book the doctor for that. The next day 20 mins before my appointment I was asked to delay my arrival by one hour. I then waited an additional hour and no doctor showed up. I had to leave for a previous appointment for work. They said they would reschedule. Later that day when I hadn’t heard from them I called and was told they would call soon. Nothing that day. Nothing the next day. When I called the following afternoon I got an answering machine and no return call. Spent the entire weekend in pain waiting. Monday morning nothing — booked another dentist and asked them to send the X-​rays. No reply. Horrible service for an emergency situation.

Dr. Do is wonderful. I have never had a dentist throughly go over procedures with me before the actual procedure, but she took the time and did that. The dentist assistants were all super nice and especially the front office staff– who were so responsive to all my questions.

Terrible front desk receptionist. The phone never gets answered, the appointments are not confirmed ahead of time. I only came in for digital x-​rays and a periodontist consultation and they are charging my insurance $ 365!!! I didn’t even get a cleaning. This stinks of insurance fraud all over. DO NOT GO HERE!!! All of the other positive reviews are fake.

Made an appointment for a cleaning and braces consultation for my son. This is the absolute worst dentist experience he or I have ever been through.
So many things pissed me off. Lets list them:
— they don’t have parking. At least not affordable parking. You have to park up in Westwood village and walk down a couple blocks…
— Sent them images of my son’s insurance card… I called FIVE times to see if they got it and verification that they take my insurance… They kept saying someone would call me back, no one ever called me back. The day of the appointment when I got to the office, it appears that they never got my e-​mail. I made the appointment 10 days prior and no one even bothered to tell me they never got my card.
— The «dentist» who saw my son didn’t seem to have any idea what she was doing. She looked at his teeth and said «no cavities so that’s good». No. I literally mean she LOOKED at his teeth. Not examined… Looked. She looked in his mouth and magically determined there were no cavities.
— the «cleaning» took about five minutes. My son complained afterward that she didn’t even do anything… she pretty much just brushed his teeth with a sonicare. No scraping, nothing.
Now this is the WORST part– the part that pisses me off the most:
We went in for a braces consultation. I was told that they do not do braces in the office… That I would have to go to the office in TARZANA to get braces.
WHAT THE HELL? If I was able to get to Tarzana don’t you think I would make an appointment there in the first place?!?
Front desk lady was «trying» to be nice, saying she would call and give me a referral to a closer dentist… psh. Never got a call. Screw them all.
This office is a bunch of idiots. The dentist sucks. i wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. DO NOT GO HERE. Two hours wasted.

Dr. Nikjoo was marvelous. I was completely happy with the results.
And it was COMPLETELY PAINLESS

This place met my expectations. They were clean, prompt and professional. Took my teen daughter here for her exam and cleaning. I will go here myself.

Dr. Eby was very patient and did the best cleaning on my teeth! He taught me how to floss correctly and my teeth feel fresher than ever! I highly recommend everyone to go to him!

Thank You Dr. Nikjo for you continuously being a great Dentist. I hated going my appointments with previous Dentist but, I look forward to our visit. My teeth and smile appreciate it.

Wow this place is a total rip-​off! I went in to get a replacement clear plastic tray retainer for my top teeth only and during the consultation with Dr. Do I was told it would cost $ 680! Huh! How could this be when it cost $ 500 for a set? The receptionist then leaves for about 5mins and comes back with a better price but still overpriced $ 380. Not to mention when I told them I would be using the advertised coupon they had on Unilocal in which you «pay $ 150 and get $ 360» in credit they switched the promotion while I was literally sitting in the chair to «pay $ 150 for $ 250». BEWARE of this place.

BEWARE! I had gone in for a cleaning the other day. Dr. Do did the cleaning, had her staff take x-​rays and proceeded to tell me I needed FOUR crowns at between $ 800‑1100 each! I found that a bit hard to believe, being that I had no pain or discomfort. I decided to get a second opinion and needed to get copies of my x-​rays. It took THREE phone calls before they released what is legally mine. The front office has no idea what customer service is. When I went to a dentist i had used years ago and trusted, he said, «There’s nothing wrong with your teeth. You don’t need any of this!» Needless to say, I won’t be going back there.

Dr. Do and her dental assistant seriously saved my tooth, I can’t thank them enough for the work they do. The entire staff at Westwood Dental Care have been extremely helpful with my appointments and my care. Try the deep cleaning with irrigation, a little awkward but so worth it.

Great for well-​versed dental patients who know what to expect and don’t want to spend hours listening to explanations about procedures they’re already familiar with. Dr. Do was expedient and thorough with my care. I arrived without an appt. and the practice was able to treat me right away. There was a bit of waiting between procedures but they were faster than most dentists. Not recommended for first time dental patients who need extra personal attention: the speed came with little explanation but great results.

I was in excruciating pain and called to come in as an emergency patient. Dr. Nikjoo and staff made sure I was seen immediately. From the moment I walked in I was taken care of with the utmost care. You definitely exceeded my expectations and made sure I felt right at home. I recommend this office to all my friends and family!

I would like to start off by saying what an amazing doctor and staff works here! The doctor is kind, professional and patient. I am beyond satisfied by their work and dedication especially since I was very uneasy about visiting the dentist office in the first place for over 2 years. I’ve had awful experiences with other doctors that were in a rush and didn’t understand my concerns. Thank you Westwood dental care!

WORST dentist that I have ever been to! I felt he was constantly trying to sell me on procedures, especially invisalign. Also, when I complained that my gums were hurting during my routine cleaning, he didn’t do anything to help me feel comfortable, such as slowing down or reassuring me verbally. I never sensed that he cared about my health, only $$$$$$$$$$. There are so many other dentists in the area, even in the same building. Seriously, stay away!

Avoid this dentist!
He did fillings which is very awful and I’ve never got such a bad experience with dentist.
Also, he filed duplicate claims to insurance company twice for the same treatment to charge twice. And he claims the service he did not do as well.
