Outstanding service!!! I’ve gone to 3 different treatment facilities and have uses 3 different machines. David’s staff and equipment are by far the best you can find. Reasonably affordable, great location and best of all PAIN FREE!
The first place I went to was literally the most painful experience of my life. Imagine a tattoo while your skin was on fire. The second place I went to actually burned me and left a scar. Needless to say I was extremely hesitant when starting at Westwood laser but minutes after they started I came to realize the machine was virtually pain free and actually had better results than any other place previously. After the second session I really started to see the reduction and hair growth was MUCH slower.
Laser hair removal is an ongoing process. Everyone’s body is different and you cant always expect to have 100% removal after a few sessions. I will say that shaving once a month or even every other month is far more convenient and worth the money.
Nothing but great things to say about Westwood laser. Anyone who has left a negative review simply does not know what they’re talking about or are taking some type of crazy pills.

I wanted to write this review for a long dime.
Unfortunately not much good can be said about the place, except the nurse who was treating me was very nice. First, the laser does NOT WORK and is not effective! I still have the same hair grow as before!
The hair never fell out after a treatment like it did with other hair laser treatments. Second: the guy at the front desk was very unfriendly and unprofessional. Third, I had to buy an add-​on attachment piece for 15 $. I think a previous post sums it up: money-​hungry management…

Sheesh I’m very sad to give this place a not so great review, it was my first time getting laser hair removal and now that I have gone to my second location, let’s just say I didn’t know any better when I made the decision to go here. First of all, the management is clearly money hungry. Let’s start with my first impression. I felt rushed during my consultation with the doctor because they wanted to get me in (make the sale) before I left which is obvious because I wasn’t even shaved and it was about to be passed their closing time. After doing research and searching for the right place for a while I really wanted to begin my treatments so I gave them a shot anyway. Moving forward to my next session I did not like the hard sale approach that the male receptionist took. He always tried to upsell me on a package before taking the time to see if I was satisfied with my results or customer experience. One time he literally said that he was trying to up sell me. Now it doesn’t take much to know that that is the ultimate goal of the groupon offers, to get clients in the door and grow the business that way but I thought he was too agressive. One time he made a smart remark when I politely tried to cancel an appointment after my doctor suggested I hold off on my 3^rd session, he said something like «oh you just want us to sit around and not get paid uh?» This might have been a comment one might have made to a co-​worker but certainly not to a customer. I was thankful he waived my cancellation fee but the comment was unprofessional in my opinion. On the bright side I really liked my nurse for my first two sessions, then It was changed for my third. I assumed she was new because i had to request the glasses for protection. She seemed really nice but the service and experience could definitely improve. It was not the worst thing in the world, and I guess I had to start somewhere but this place just wasn’t for me. They reccomend 6 – 8 sessions for best results, I’ve had three and saw no changes. I’ve have one session at my new laser center and already see results. Thats also the only place I found during my research that required you to buy the attachment piece. All in all I would say this place is not horrible but there are definately better places out there. I still would like to thank them for what progress I might have made in the process of removing the hair. As for price I have found this place to be expensive for the experience you get after venturing out to my new favorite location.

Worst place I’ve ever been to for laser. BE WARNED! They charge an extra $ 20 «mandatory tip» for each laser service and try to charge more than they rates state on line.

This review is long overdue, but it needs to be said.
DON’T DO IT. No matter how great the Groupon deal is, I repeat, don’t do it.
I started going here years ago, when Liz and Yoko were there. Ever since they left, the service has been wholly deplorable. I have no criticism for the front desk personnel; however, the nurses are the most unprofessional people ever. I had a new nurse treat me each time, which makes me question management. One time, a nurse brought in a trainee, which I found highly uncomfortable. Another time, a nurse made a personal comment to me that left me horrified. For personal treatment like hair removal, bedside manner is key, and this place is utterly unprofessional. I still have treatments left over from the package I purchased but have NOT and will NOT be returning. I’d rather lose my money than feel that level of discomfort again.
Also, if you’re expecting the hospital gowns provided at other laser treatment centers, this place does not offer them unless you do NOT have a Groupon deal. I know, because I purchased packages with and without the deals. On another note, I had never been asked to purchase a laser tip until new management.
Go elsewhere. Seriously, this place may traumatize you.

I found this place through Groupon for laser hair removal. They had wrong advertisement to begin with, and they have no customer service what so ever! Today is my second appointment, my schedule time was amidst 30 mins ago, it seems that there is no nurse here, yet this guy at reception haven’t told us anything, no explanation. You can find better place at reasonably same cost … Shame on me =(
When we as a client late for an appointment they cost us money, you should compensate us if you delay your service more than 30 mins. (I just try to be patience)

Anxiously waiting for my second appointment. They have the best laser machine. The prices are great and everyone is very nice. After my first appt I noticed big spots where the hair is not growing anymore. I don’t have to shave daily anymore. Very happy with their services and friendly staff.

I spoke to a male receptionist and a female nurse. I live 2 minutes away so I know which business I’m talking about. I have every right to furious for having a morning wasted.

Great prices and even better service. Went to a couple place with cheaper prices but they’re was not results compared the hear. Definitely worth taking a look at if you are looking for this service.

The thing that keeps me from giving this place a one star review is that I actually think the laser is very good and effective.
That being said, the office is run terribly. The receptionist who answers the phone says «hello?» and doesn’t mention the name of the business, it’s very confusing when you call. Moreover, I had three appointments, each of which the office called to confirm, only to call me back to reschedule the appointment the next day (wanted me to come in a few hours earlier or later). It was so unprofessional!
The final thing that rubbed me the wrong way was that one of nurses who did the laser treatment was wearing a UCLA nurses outfit. So misleading, so unethical since this place is not at all related to UCLA.

Tgis place is the best! I’ve only had 2 laser sessions there and up to now im very satisfied by my result! The laser is amazing and there is no pain!

I decided to wait till my second appointment to write a review, just so I can see better results and provide better feedback. First off I found Westwood laser through Unilocal and with the reviews I was skeptic because I’m extremely picky and rude service just won’t do. I also like to check things out for myself and have my own experiences, so I called.
David at the front desk was extremely helpful at the consultation, after I filled out my paperwork, he sat next to me and right off the bat told me the prices per session and area. I respect that, I don’t have time to waste and I’m sure his is valuable as well. Then I met with the doctor, which he’s a little hard to understand, but he’s nice and funny. The office is small, yes it’s next to a dentist, I don’t care for their reviews, I don’t need dental work or fancy offices. I need good laser hair removal and a friendly staff. He informed me that the laser is painless not pain-​free and that I would need to purchase a laser tip for $ 20, Perfect! I like to be in control and clean/​disinfect whatever comes in contact with my body. germaphobe? perhaps.
The prices are reasonable, some might think it’s expensive but I didn’t think so. I’m latina, I have dark thick hair and for the time saved, the freedom gained and the avoidable embarrassment of black dots and ingrowns I would pay whatever it takes.
First appointment: (David called the day before to remind me) I walked in hoping it wouldn’t hurt, my sense memory took me back to when I first tried laser hair removal seven years ago, it was so painful back then, nothing would numb the pain and I lost hope of removing my hair. I hate body hair, I know hate is a strong word, I hate body hair. — Cynthia welcomed and walked me to the room. Cynthia has a calming nature to her, her voice is relaxing, her touch is so soft and gentle. I closed my eyes and she was done. Done? Are you sure you got everything? she smiled and said yes! I didn’t feel a thing!!! I couldn’t believe it. She finished in 15 minutes. Amazing!
A week later I noticed my hair falling off on it’s own, I noticed I didn’t have to shave everyday or every other day. It wasn’t growing as fast anymore.
Second Appointment: (David called the day before) This time Cynthia wanted to use ice to numb the area before the laser, just in case of burns. It didn’t hurt at all, but it’s nice that she wanted to be cautious.
— my hair is now growing back in thin patches, some areas don’t grow back at all. I never thought I’d feel this freedom. I’ve spent so much time and money on waxing, shaving, threading… you name it, I’ve done it.
I am very happy with Westwood laser and would highly recommend it to everyone I know. They use the latest laser technology and you don’t have to prep yourself for pain. no pills, numbing cream, tears.

Well, I felt this place to be odd. A little twilight zone-​ish with their office (It shared connected space next to a Dentist with horrible reviews and an unused office area out of an 80s doctor’s office.)
Watch out for any groupon deals here. They don’t do normal pricing for laser areas as other offices, meaning something that is usual just medium area is consider a large in this office and therefore charge you more. They charge for a plastic tip for the laser which they don’t tell you until you’ve completed the service — not cool. It is $ 20 and I’ve NEVER seen that done over the 4 years I’ve done laser treatments. The nurse seemed nice, and laser was new — but all the other factors made the whole experience a bit on the shady side.

They curtail to every need you could ask for. Mahnaz is the most gentle and caring person and I couldn’t have asked for such a great specialist. My results are exactly what I wanted and I will always be coming back for occasional touch-​ups. The machine is state of the art and if you do your research you’ll realize it is the least pain and very effective. Wahoo for Westwood laser and their wonderful staff!

I’ve tried laser treatments in other places before and it didn’t work ! But I’m getting really good results here !! The staff is really friendly here as they call you up a couple of days before your appointment to remind you as well !! Painless treatments and satisfying results !! What else can you ask for ??

I used to love going here when Ana and Liz worked here and would have definitely given them 5 stars but I have had nothing but bad experiences since they left. The new receptionist is rude and unorganized. I had appointments changed several times, it took over a week for her to return my message and I showed up for one appointment and she had forgotten about my appointment. I had to finish up the last few sessions in my package but I will never go back.

I am glad to see that Yoko, the RN, is back. Yoko did laser treatments for my legs and they are now silky smooth. No more dry, itchy skin due to so much shaving. She is very thorough with her treatments and the machine that they use does not hurt (like in the old days when you had to slather on anesthetic cream). Yoko does spend time explaining to you what not to do after you get your laser treatments. I am so pleased with Yoko’s treatments that I’ve just signed up for a package of laser treatments for my bikini area.
Thank you Dalia for being so accommodating and understanding. You girls make a great team :)

Additionally, the machine they use for hair removal is much better than most — I had absolutely no pain.

this was the second place I’ve been to, the first place I’d been to I was very unsatisfied until I heard about this place, which a friend recommended to me. So I set an appointment, and I went in the following week. I was able to go in right on time, the staff was very friendly, and the nurse to. After it was done, I was very satisfied

I just left my appointment and am very impressed. I’ve had other laser treatments which were painful so I didn’t really believe that this would be any different even though their website says it is painless. IT REALLY DID NOT HURT AT ALL!!! Amazing!
